    140
140 takes its minimalist credentials seriously and reduces all elements to the...minimum, emphasizing its excellent controls and level design. The concept is very well executed and this could be a more memorable game if only its content was wider and the price a bit more in a line with what it brings.

Azure Striker Gunvolt 2 follows in the footsteps of its predecessor all too well for its own sake, insofar as it's often difficult to point out any outstanding differences between the two. This is not necessarily a handicap, as the sequel is a quality action platformer that features an exquisite visual environment and fine-tuned gameplay.

FIFA 19 brings the second iteration of the world's most popular football game series to the Nintendo Switch and this delivery improves on its predecessor when it comes to gameplay and competitions. It does not go all the way, however, when it comes to visual performance and to the AI's behaviour, not to mention the disappointing lack of some gaming modes. While FIFA 19 does its part to bring football back to Nintendo platforms, it still needs to go further to become truly indispensable title.

Noitu Love: Devolution is an action sidescroller that is full of action and that makes a good use of the 3DS and Wii U controls at delivering it. Its action might get too confusing at times but that is a small price to pay for a game that is rich in content and beautifully crafted, even if a bit short at times.

Gunman Clive’s transition to the Wii U brings virtually the same two games that were previously released on the 3DS with almost nothing else to present other than a technically competent HD conversion and remarkable sound upgrade. Beyond that, there’s nothing else to point out: a simple compilation, that’s what Gunman Clive on the Wii U is all about.

Despite the requirement of an annual paid subscription to enjoy an additional set of 200 hundred songs beyond the 40 tracks that come with the game, this version of Just Dance 2017 has the added incentive of working as a portable as well as a home game, which will certainly create its own space for players who enjoy the kind of contribution that Just Dance brings to friendly gatherings.

Featuring puzzles based on sushi dishes and tactic elements to fight opponents, Sushi Striker: The Way of Sushido brings a wide variety of content, very appealing visuals and a completely zany plot, which sometimes feels like it drags itself for too long, while its online community is way too small.

Cities: Skylines has been adapted to the Nintendo Switch in a competent way that allows for this city management experience to be thoroughly enjoyed in a format that at first might not seem the most suitable. Despite a certain loss of detail when it comes to the visual environment, the game provides for some fun and involving moments and will certainly appeal to fans of city simulations.

World Heroes Perfect is an enjoyable and well executed 2D fighting game of the mid-90s that features impressive visuals and a varied cast with some impressive special moves. Even if it does not reinvent the genre or doesn't break any significant grounds, it's still a fun experience to be enjoyed by fans of fighting games.

This racing-action game features its fair share of progression with a few RPG-like elements and manages itself quite well thanks to its random track generator and lifespan, which will lead to racing and action game fans coming back to it over and over again.

While its simplicity is welcome, it also means the game brings nothing really new but that doesn't mean Grid Mania does not feature a good quality-price relationship or that it's not a welcome game in the Nintendo Switch line-up.

The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance Tactics is a turn-based strategy game based on the Netflix series which followed up on Jim Henson's 1982 movie and with that said, this is a game that may not reinvent the genre but what it does, does it very well. Thanks to its genuine feeling of immersion in the series' story, marvelous illustrations and overall friendly atmosphere for fans and newcomers alike, Age of Resistance Tactics is another welcome work to the Nintendo Switch catalogue.

Serial Cleaner brings a 70s-style ambiance to a stealth game and it does a very good job at that. Thanks to its sharp humour and fun action, Serial Cleaner is one of the most remarkable indie games on the Nintendo Switch and its refurbishing mechanic when the player loses adds more variety and extends its lifespan.

A rhythm game requires intuitive controls and a good sense of progression and Thumper provides both. Players will have to pay close attention to their surroundings, especially to the sound, as their timing will have to be on the spot in order to advance and thanks to its gameplay mechanics, this is a game that easily seduces those who let themselves be wooed by catchy rhythms.

Debris Infinity successfully brings the players back to a simpler time of arcade-style shoot'em ups, with its intuitive gameplay topped with multiplayer features. The game also adds some very necessary contemporary features, such as its very useful real time updated online leaderboards. Debris Infinity will have a harder time convincing players who are interested in aspects other than the 1980s revivalism and achieving high scores, but it does a competent job at what it proposes.

Darkwood has the merit of knowing how to scare its players and keeping them on their toes throughout the whole experience, accompanied by how it allows the player to take decisions during the game. The game suffers some harm from technical issues, however, and its visuals aren't the most stunning, which make it a less enjoyable experience than it could be, while nevertheless demonstrating why it is a decent survival horror title.

Mario Party: Star Rush displays the series' evolution within its standards. Adding a needed innovation in the form of free movement across the game boards, the latest installment of Mario Party brings its usual mix of multiplayer frenzy and competition for coins and stars. As before, this is not the most indicated game for those who stick with mostly solo experiences but anyone with a group of friends will not come out disappointed.

Keeping itself faithful to the spirit of the original rather than to its casing, Blaster Master Zero brings the original classic to today's world while keeping the main tenets of its identity intact. This is a nostalgic experience that is not afraid to use some contemporary clothing and which fully satisfies its purpose of recreating a successful 2D experience, even if its difficulty level might suggest otherwise.

Team Ogre Attacks is another competent and fairly appealing title in the not-so-common style of sports RPGs, this time in a game adapted from an animation movie. Nevertheless, its new content is not groundbreaking enough to the point of justifying its purchase, at least for those who already own another version of Inazuma Eleven 3.

A strong emphasis on its online mechanics means that most of Splatoon is to be experienced on a multiplayer basis, which would be at a higher level if all future options and contents were already available. Given the importance of cooperative online play and team work, it's also difficult to understand why there's no voice chat but despite this shortcoming, Splatoon has all conditions to become a must have classic, once all the contents are made available.

Thanks to its randomly generated dungeons, the game features a long lifespan, reinforced by its simplicity and ease to pick up and play. Where the game feels like a letdown is on its lacklustre sound environment, as well as on its excessively long loading times and hastily made multiplayer mode.

This remaster of the two Baldur's Gate games features content that's well enough for hundreds of hours though it's impossible not to notice how dated the two games come across. While this remaster essentially targets experienced players and doesn't try to conquer any new audiences, the result is a job well done that will certainly fit well with the fans.

As a sequel that doesn't take many risks, Urban Trial Freestyle 2 adds some welcome developments to the original game. The gameplay remains addictive and its plentiful content will keep players entertained while the new online functionalities certainly add to the game's appeal. However, amidst all the improvements, it should be pointed out that some of the original's flaws remain unaddressed.

Monster Boy and the Cursed Kingdom is a rather surprising and very enjoyable 2D platformer that openly dresses the skin of a metroidvania-style of game, with a well-structured experience, a high quality cartoon-like art style and well implemented gameplay mechanics. It does not reinvent the wheel when it comes to 2D platformers but it certainly does a very good job at delivering a quality metroidvania type of game.
