Overall it's a good package and certainly the best way to experience Deadlight but those looking for a ton of value packed or incredible voice acting might be left a little disappointed.

If you are a fan of the original Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, and feel the need to embark on a new journey, there is certainly a lot here to offer with Blood and Wine. The large-sized new area, dying armor, and the incorporation of mutations present a sufficient amount of new gameplay elements to play around with. However, it is the thirty hours of new adventures tied in with the amount of new quests and point of interests that will get players back into the game.

Mirror's Edge Catalyst is a must-have experience that defies the doubters and makes those who had hoped now believe.

Marrakesh provides the most complexity to the Hitman formula yet, and its design and setting make players work harder for success now more than ever before. Overall, Hitman Episode 3 is yet another amazing addition to the series this year and I can't wait to get lost in its fourth episode.

With no game like Tropico 5: Penultimate Edition available for Xbox One, fans of the genre should definitely give the game a look. It makes for a good summer game as you build and develop an island colony during your downtime and prepare for your presidential run in 2020.

Some remasters can feel a bit mailed in when it comes to how much they’ve actually been improved, but Dead Island: Definitive Edition is not one of them. Who knows what is going to happen to Dead Island 2 at this stage, but one thing that is true is Deep Silver has reignited the franchise with Dead Island: Definitive Edition.

Far Harbor is Bethesda doing what they do well, extending the longevity of the product and prolonging the players want and need to explore more and more. I finished most of Far Harbor, but it’ll be weeks, if not months before I can say I’ve seen everything. The creepy atmosphere, new designs for everything from weapons to characters and buildings really make this DLC feel different. While there’s a hiccup in the action with the hacking/data theft section, it’s not a dealbreaker.

Kirby: Planet Robobot is an excellent 3DS action platform game. It has all the charm you want from a Kirby game, but with more puzzles and action. It’s my favorite Kirby game, and is one of the best games to release this year. Simply put: Kirby: Planet Robobot is amazing.

Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster for PC is the definitive version of two great entries in the overall series. There’s more than enough additional content packed in, refined visuals and a remastered soundtrack that alone would be worth it, but put on top of it a few of the better Final Fantasy journeys and memorable characters, as well as mechanics and it’s an easy recommendation. If you’re missing Final Fantasy, waiting for FFXV, or just plain want a good RPG then look no further.

A fun game for a more than fair price from Frozenbyte, and one that definitely will scratch that stealth-action narrative itch.

Superbly fun. While there are nods to the previous games in the series, there are times where it does not “feel” like a Doom game. That does not deter from the overall experience. The game is gorgeous, sounds great, and offers reasons to come back and play. The SnapMap mode is an excellent touch, however the multiplayer feels added for the sake of having multiplayer. Doom is known for its single player experience, and that is where it excels the most.

Despite its few shortcomings, Shadow Complex: Remastered is an extremely fun game to play. The upgraded visuals look great and the controls are on point. Enemies and backtracking to become a bit redundant, but the platforming elements and exploration make up for it.

Fantastic gameplay can take you to wild places and whoever was skeptical of this game before playing it will quickly be converted. Funny, fun and frenetic, Pocket Card Jockey is a charmer that never lets up. Combining elements of “Pokemon,” “Monster Rancher” and Solitaire, it’s a game that will steal you away from your next generation console.

Naughty Dog has crafted a brilliant game that can stand alone as the best game on PlayStation 4. Uncharted was once referred to as a Tomb Raider clone, but it wound up being a Tomb Raider killer. Naughty Dog has elevated the video game industry as Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End is pure brilliance.

Taking a step back and looking at the entire experience of Sapienza and Episode 2, this location is absolutely brilliant and beautiful. From the level design to the amount of depth found in each section of Sapienza, Hitman has yet another fine episode, even despite its once again thin narrative.

With a focus on replayability, unlockable content, discovering alternate paths, and pushing for higher scores, fans of the SNES original and Star Fox 64 will find that the game has everything they love about the franchise and plenty more.

The Banner Saga 2 continues the tradition set forth in the first entry. Expanding on the beautiful art and soundtrack by adding interesting new classes, races, and challenges to the mix. Stoic has done a great job of delivering another game that Banner Saga fans will enjoy, but will also bring new players into the fold. The Banner Saga 2 absolutely deserves the time of gamers looking for a narrative experience with challenging gameplay, and true gravity behind decisions made during nearly every moment of playing.

An epic, hilarious, stunning and entertaining blast from the past, and hopefully this is but a taste of what has yet to come for the franchise.

Dark Souls 3 should serve as an example of a game that not only serves existing fans extremely well, but isn’t so obtuse in its approach that it can’t be picked up by a newbie and enjoyed, just as much as I did.

Thanks to awesome visuals and a great pick up and play gameplay experience, Level-5’s Yo-Kai Watch: Wibble Wobble is more than just an enjoyable companion game to the 3DS mega hit, it’s a wonderful puzzle game that can actually get people hooked on the series.

Fallout 4’s first DLC Automatron sets a good precedent for content coming out of Bethesda to support the game. There’s plenty here to not only explore once, but also to build multiple robots to take on adventures through the wasteland. If you’ve done literally everything else on the map, it might not keep you going for long, but for everyone else you’ve got a fleshed out and thorough reason to jump back in.

With its friendly pick up and play design, Hyrule Warriors Legends is an excellent fit for the Nintendo 3DS. The game is highly entertaining, offers endless replayability, and has enough new content to warrant a double-dip from Wii U owners. If you have a New Nintendo 3DS, Hyrule Warriors Legends is a must-own thanks to its highly entertaining gameplay.

While it’s hard to say it’s a grand slam, it’s definitely an incredibly well done baseball game.

Trackmania Turbo is a thrill ride, offering up some high-speed action that feels great from beginning to end. Complaints are minimal, and even though the cosmetic items are slow to earn unless you're a natural, it still feels good when they are unlocked. The sense of speed, simple to learn yet hard to master controls, and the consistent mechanics make the game truly come together as a great arcade racer with some surprisingly consistent, almost simulation-grade mechanics like cornering and drifting.

If you played Ori and the Blind Forest last year, this new edition offers plenty of new content to warrant a second play through. With lush visuals, an imaginative world, and charming characters, Ori and the Blind Forest: Definitive Edition is the best platforming game on the Xbox One, and one of the best games in the Xbox One software catalog.

With a hearty list of fighters, improved fight mechanics and the awesome Ultimate Team mode, UFC 2 scores a tremendous first round knockout. In just two years, EA Sports has morphed the series from one that reveled in mediocrity, to the best MMA game ever released.

The Flame in the Flood is not a game for everyone. Constantly moving, managing materials and resources, endlessly searching for food, and repairing your boat can become frustrating. It takes a couple of hours to begin to feel like you have a sense of control over your destiny within the game. Patience and perseverance are a requirement when approaching a game such as this.

Superhot might not be the shooter you’re expecting, as it’s actually more puzzle oriented and a lot of trial and error, but don’t let that sway you from one of the best in breed of shooters out there. With a stylish presentation, interesting plot for what could have easily been a tech demo, and an overall satisfying package, Superhot comes at a time when we thought “all shooters were the same,” but it breaks that mold with ease.

The Division is a fantastic single-player game, a wonderful co-op game and fascinating competitive multiplayer game. This game gives you so many ways to play an incredible experience, which it all leads to one conclusion: Tom Clancy’s The Division is a phenomenal game.

A strong foundation is there. This game is the most authentic Hitman experience and it will ask you to become intimately familiar with each level. It is something that will test your patience, intelligence and skills, and when you put it all together will reward you greatly for it.

The biggest upgrade made to the game is the visual boost. The new textures bring dungeons and temple settings to life as foliage and other elements of the environment are crisper and cleaner thanks to the HD visuals. Character models are nicely detailed, though the art style is starting to show its age.

If you’re in for competitive multiplayer, a nostalgia trip, or haven’t played before it’s more than deserving a place in your library, as it’s a well-executed remaster.

Far Cry Primal is a perfect example of taking what works, implementing enhancements, and not subtracting from the formula. With scenes of absolute beauty, visceral brutality, and touching emotional notes, Primal does some interesting things and ultimately proves itself a valid and welcome offshoot to the series. Much in the vein of Blood Dragon before (albeit a very different game), Far Cry Primal is a solid all-around and fleshed out addition to the franchise. Although it doesn’t necessarily leap the series to incredible new heights, it does everything it does so well that you’ll just have fun hunting, fighting, and building your Wenja destiny.

By offering distinct storylines and game experiences, Fire Emblem Fates is able to appeal to both newcomers and longtime fans of the franchise. Those looking for a lengthy and epic adventure to play on their 3DS needn’t look any further, because Fire Emblem Fates is all you need. Fire Emblem Fates is fated to be one of the 3DS’ best games in 2016.

Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare 2 has a massive amount of rich, entertaining and wacky content for players to enjoy. I know I’ll be spending another 30 hours on Garden Ops alone, but EA has managed to bring some interesting, new ingredients that help make this series as fun and addicting, as it was the first time around.

In a world devoid of P.T. – aka Silent Hills, we found Layers of Fear to offer an intriguing take on the horror genre and video game storytelling. Turn off the lights, turn up the volume, and immerse yourself in the world that Layers of Fear has to offer.

Even with the mediocre localization effort, it’s hard not to appreciate the huge story and fun gameplay in Project X-Zone 2. Regardless of if you’ve played the original or not, it’s a game that can and will steal hours of your time. For those looking for their next big adventure, especially with no new Pokémon or Yo-Kai currently available, Project X Zone 2 comes along at the perfect time.

With tons of playable characters, intense battles, online multiplayer, and a fairly lengthy Story Mode, Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 offers tons of content that will be loved by fans. Though the fighting system is basic, it makes up for it by being accessible and placing fun and entertainment above complex gameplay mechanics.

Dying Light is one of those games where you walk around at night with the flashlight on because you need to, but every once in a while turning it off gives way to some incredible lighting and some of the darkest, and creepiest nights portrayed in games to date.

Firewatch has a funny, surprisingly intelligent narrative all captured within a spectacular and grand setting that worth a picture or two. Even though there were some obvious performance issues with the PS4 version of the game, Firewatch is still more than worth playing, multiple times.

When I step back and think about This War of Mine: The Little Ones, I am left with thoughts of a profound and meaningful experience, in spite of its limiting structure, and one that will make you feel like you never had before. This War of Mine: The Little Ones provides an essential illustration of what is the inescapable fact of our existence: we are all human.

If you loved Xenoblade Chronicles for Wii or Nintendo 3DS, you will soon find yourself a new love in the form of Xenoblade Chronicles X on Wii U.

With the added skins and GamePad play, the extra ten bucks is more than justified, making the Wii U edition of Minecraft an excellent starting point for new players and one that casual gamers will enjoy as well.

With its ability to captivate, dual modes and easy to pick up gameplay, Tharsis is a great diversion from your Fallout 4, Destiny and Call of Duty romps. It's also a perfect game to get non-gamers interested in the PlayStation 4. While it's never going to completely steal you away from the AAA games on the console, it's a fun little title that's able to do some big things with old-school game mechanics.

Despite an obligatory narrative, Assassin's Creed Chronicles: India is an excellent continuation of this unique spinoff and I can't wait to get my hands on the third game next month.

The strategy battles are addictive and feature many different units with unique abilities. If you are a patient person that likes this type of lore and gameplay style, The Banner Saga delivers on what it set out to accomplish.

An incredible game. The amount of content is incredible. The ability to control and mix up your character at any time is incredible. The variety in not only location but weapons, armor, and items are incredible. The ability to jump and grab a giant enemy, scaling it to stab it in the face while it thrashes about is incredible. You get it, now if you’re a fan of Fantasy RPG, saving the kingdoms from dragons and demons, and extremely satisfying gameplay from nearly every aspect, buy Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen.

Resident Evil 0 HD is a good remake of a good game. Simple as that. If you like the series, or the original production, you’ll like this quite a bit. The remake serves as a great history lesson to gamers that haven’t gotten the chance, or a great throwback for those that just want to play some good old Resident Evil. Control, camera, and visual hiccups aside, the remake is good enough to forget Resident Evil 6, and remind us of the roots of the franchise.

The quantity and quality of gameplay experiences in LEGO Marvel's Avengers is staggering and it's a game that you will have an extremely hard time walking away from.
