Full of references to our contemporaneity and capable of arousing profound reflections on topics of crucial importance, the title finally turns out to be an excellent experience for those looking for an adventure with a calm but suggestive tone.

The fact remains that it is once again one of those titles that once bought can easily remain installed all year round and that can be an excellent choice to be interspersed with other video games in those days when you wake up with a little of nostalgia for drifting in the mud of Chile or for the breathtaking jumps of the Rally of Finland for a bit of unpretentious fun even for those who do not have a cutting-edge driving position but want to have fun even only with the pad which, incidentally, performs quite well despite the Dualsense functions being only half exploited.

Rustler is a fun pastime without particular pretensions that succeeds discreetly, and at a low cost (on Steam it is in promotion for only 14 euros), in order to entertain the player with a series of characters and events beyond all logic.

Also on PS5 The Medium confirms the strengths and weaknesses of a production that is at times also genuinely intriguing, but unable to distinguish itself and to sanction that consecration of the Polish studio that many would have expected (even more so with what seemed to be the project of maturity definitive). The experience is essentially identical to that which lived seven months ago on the Xbox Series X, with a big difference, indeed in practice two. Even without epochal revolutions, on PlayStation 5 the DualSense adds something in terms of interaction compared to the original version, but on the Microsoft console the inclusion of the game in the Game Pass catalog since day one weighs a lot: a download to The Medium yes can and if you are a fan of the genre you must give it without reservations, while the investment of 49.99 € must be taken less lightly.

Despite the eleven years on his shoulders, Sonic Colors is confirmed to be among the most interesting adventures of the polygonal "second life" of the hyperkinetic hedgehog. Enjoying it fully is still possible today, certainly thanks to its intrinsic qualities - level design, in particular - but also the efforts made by Blind Squirrel in packaging Ultimate: a very good level of remastering work, albeit perfectible, and a product that we recommend without delay, especially to those who have not had the opportunity to get lost in the colors of the old edition.

For those who have never played Quake, the remastered is an unmissable opportunity to fill this gap and to appreciate one of the first person shooters that marked an era. Carmack and Romero with their desire to innovate (and their quarrels!) Have brought the video game industry to a new dimension: Quake is the game that has marked - indelibly - the history of id Software. After the "earthquake", in fact, nothing was the same as before. Waiting for a well-deserved reboot / remake, let's console ourselves with this version that offers new content to try and the ability to relive - with a few tears - the frenzy and magic of the old and beloved first person shooters.

The Virtuous Cycle is a brilliant gimmick that gives Mortal Shell new life, and not just because of a brand new shell and weapon to show off in both the base game and the new mode: the DLC devised by Cold Symmetry transforms it in the mix of Hades and Dark Souls that no one thought they wanted, but from which it is now almost impossible to break away.

The reality is that Suda51's new work for Nintendo Switch is the shadow of the No More Heroes it once was, where brilliant ideas, follies, memorable moments and the heinous combat system itself are watered down in a mediocre techno-playful context - and devoid of rhythm.

Pile Up! Box by Box is not the 3D platformer to recommend to die-hard fans of the genre who are looking for the impossible challenge, but it is an unpretentious experience that manages to give its best if played in the company of other people, especially when it comes to smaller players. The entire product is clearly meant to be played in co-op and the NPCs that populate the game world themselves boast a design designed to enchant children with their bright colors and funny shapes. In short, if you were looking for a game with which to bring young people closer to video games, we can only advise you to give the Seed by Seed title a chance, also because it is sold at a very competitive price on all platforms.

RiMS Racing is not a perfect simulation but it is a good starting point for the future. Despite a series of limitations and problems, the Raceward Studio course stands out for a driving model that will be loved by some, hated by others. Overall we enjoyed it, despite a rather challenging learning curve.

Aliens Fireteam Elite is a cooperative shooter without infamy and without praise that, at a budget price, allows you to spend a few hours immersed in the typical atmosphere of Xenomorph-based films in the company of a couple of friends. However, do not expect a product capable of entertaining you for a long time due to an underlying repetitiveness and a scarce variety of situations that tends to tire rather quickly, not to mention the presence of an AI ally that is far from perfect, which makes the title difficult to enjoy for those who want to live the experience alone. The hope is that the free add-ons promised by the team can somehow revitalize the product and perhaps do justice to the Challenge Card system.

By blowing on the dormant flames of Souls iconography, Blue Fire brings an experience with an authentic and challenging character to the panorama of independent development, evoking an almost melancholy scent. The inspiration from names such as The Legend of Zelda and Super Mario does not betray any lack of personality, on the contrary it reveals the attention of a team - that of ROBI Studios - which has been able to combine all the influences sought elsewhere with great coherence and playful effectiveness. The result is a 3D metroidvania that makes good platforming its stylistic code, net of the frustration inherent in some phases, on which, however, the goodness of the proposed challenge and the charisma of its atmospheres allow you to easily fly over.

After the disastrous Super Neptunia RPG packaged in 2019 by Artisan Studios, we harbored the sincere fear of finding another title that is poor in every respect in our hands. The Japanese developer Compile Heart has instead taken over the reins of its flagship franchise, and although Neptunia Virtual Stars lends its side to several critical issues, the result is all in all enjoyable. The gameplay and the balance of the difficulty should be revised, but overall the spin-off manages to effectively carry out its duty, which is to entertain historical fans of the saw and fans of virtual YouTubers.

The wind that blows from the island of Iki, at times, can be even more overwhelming than the one that crossed the horizons of Tsushima. Short but incisive, the expansion sets up an intimate narrative, which delves even deeper into the tormented meanders of Jin's soul: it succeeds, and convinces us. The new map and the timid additions to the gameplay do not exponentially increase the variety and quality of an experience that, as expected, remains conservative, with the same merits and the same stumbling blocks as the base game. If the lock on has a fluctuating implementation, which does not solve the problems of a camera that is far from flawless, it is the art direction (again!) And the use of DualSense that make the difference: a sign of how Ghost of Tsushima , also and above all in the Director's Cut, is an adventure that stands out mainly for its evocative visual flashiness. And now - thanks to the PS5 pad - also sensory.

Twelve Minutes represents a videogame experiment born from a series of suggestive intuitions. The choice of setting the title within the confines of a small two-room apartment, combined with the mystery that constantly permeates the work, certainly represents one of the most valuable aspects of the Indie published by Annapurna Interactive. Unfortunately, a scarce malleability, the limited possibilities of interaction and a narrative evolution that makes excessive use of artificial solutions prevent Luis Antonio's work from fully expressing its starting potential.

Humankind, in short, raises the quality standards of 4X games, placing itself as the perfect "rival" of Civilization. This net of some gleanings that could be filed through future updates and secure expansions. If you are a lover of this genre, you can't really skip the appointment with the work of Amplitude. The future, full support for mods and the world editor will contribute to enrich the title seamlessly.

Let's be clear, the title signed by Antab Studio has arrows in its bow. Using the different cybernetic powers of Evan Kapnos is a pleasure and they offer enough variety to the fights, and the cyberpunk atmospheres that you breathe are engaging enough to push you to want to go all the way without stopping. We also appreciate the developers' attempt to give the right variety to their work by mixing action, stealth and puzzles. The problem with Foreclosed is that its many playful elements lack incisiveness and are not fully convincing. Monotonous battles against enemies driven by an A.I. very poor, elementary stealth phases and a few repetitive puzzles fail to fully exploit Antab's adventure.

Hades was an undisputed masterpiece eleven months ago on PC and Nintendo Switch, and is reconfirmed as such also on the PlayStation and Xbox formats. Jupiter Hell is a richer, more concrete and more enjoyable version of Doom, the Roguelike, from which it borrows the original concept. The result is a more than valid exponent of the genre, which mixes action, strategy and a pinch of RPG without ever being too frustrating, thanks to a good balance and the ability to select different levels of challenge.
