It's a shame then that a lot is lost because of trivial defects: running rugged online functionality, unacceptable loading times (despite a noticeable downgrade of the technical component), but above all a really flat combat system, which makes it hard to withstand grinding exasperated certain phases of play.

It's perfect for a night with friends, or very short sessions. Played with bots it could grow old at alarming speed, so it's definitely better served with pals to enjoy it with.

The ideas are sound, and the gameplay sometimes shine, but it still lacks personality and care for details.

A strong and convincing driving system, spoiled by a poor AI and clumsy graphics.

Disgaea D2 retrieves the elements of classic gameplay of the series by offering a very tight chapter: the most inaccessible. The result is a fitting title almost exclusively to fans.

The PS4 version of Escape Plan solves some problems of the PS Vita counterpart, being definitely a more responsive title, but with the same ups and downs of the portable version.

Final Fantasy 7 The First Soldier is not the battle royale that will upset the equilibrium of the market or will surpass the industry champions such as COD Warzone and Fortnite Chapter 2, but it is a product that, without particular pretensions, offers a gameplay that is all in all enjoyable and immediate. If you are a fan of the seventh chapter of the Square Enix series and do not disdain the battle royale, The First Soldier would at least deserve a try to explore Midgard in a different context from what you are used to. And who knows, maybe you will also have fun picking up every single quote posted by the development team in the various corners of the map. On the other hand, those who are not a die-hard Final Fantasy fan might in any case find a product a little distant from the usual battle royale and which, compared to the competition, offers a lighter gaming experience and less devoted to unbridled competition. In short, a game that fulfills its duty for a few games in the name of lightheartedness.

After a curious and intriguing beginning on all fronts, from the gameplay to the narrative, the experience of Apex Construct becomes canonical, not very innovative and monotonous.

A fairly honest but somewhat "arid" title, made up of a few memorable and of enveloping moments, but with repetitive atmospheres.

Made in Unreal Engine by a single man, Song of Iron is a product that thrives on light and shadow, a certainly remarkable accomplishment that however failed to fully satisfy us on the playful front. Fans of adventures steeped in Norse mythology and out-of-the-box twists would do well to give it a chance - especially if at a discount - but those who expected a more complex and refined experience in terms of platforming and combat system would do well to weigh with attention to the critical issues of the game. Having said that, we hope that Joe Winter and his Resting Relic can follow up on Song of Iron and this time with some extra help, so as to fully exploit the potential of the ideas behind the progenitor.

Breaking Broken Sword: The Serpent's Curse in two was not a good idea. When the plot finally starts to mesh everything is postponed to a later date and the player stays dry mouthed. For the rest, however, it is still the beautiful Broken Sword.

With a budget price, in fact, it offers a co-operative campaign that - while banishing any form of narration - will entertain and entertain those who will play it with other colleagues. This is due, in a nutshell, to the only real diamond point of the offer: the gore system and the swarms of the undead.

Puzzles are linear and easy to solve, and the gameplay is intuitive but surely not original. Anyhow, Escape Plan has a great visual style and a nature of its own.

Aliens Fireteam Elite is a cooperative shooter without infamy and without praise that, at a budget price, allows you to spend a few hours immersed in the typical atmosphere of Xenomorph-based films in the company of a couple of friends. However, do not expect a product capable of entertaining you for a long time due to an underlying repetitiveness and a scarce variety of situations that tends to tire rather quickly, not to mention the presence of an AI ally that is far from perfect, which makes the title difficult to enjoy for those who want to live the experience alone. The hope is that the free add-ons promised by the team can somehow revitalize the product and perhaps do justice to the Challenge Card system.
