The Claws of Awaji is a DLC that reflects both the strengths and weaknesses of Assassin's Creed Shadows: some narrative elements are interesting, but the story ends without much excitement, nor does it sufficiently delve into the renewed conflict between Assassins and Templars. The introduction of a new weapon for Naoe livens up the combat a bit, but the gameplay remains more or less the same: ultimately, Awaji is an island that replicates the same exploration loop as the base game on a smaller scale, without adding anything new. Although it is free for all those who pre-ordered at the time, it is still a significant expansion at €25.

There are some issues in the gameplay and balancing, but if you miss the RTS "golden age", you might still enjoy this blast from the past.

Ultimately, the new Piccolo Studio game, after the excellent Arise: A Simple Story, is another little gem that could delight fans of platform adventures, especially if sensitive to the passionate environmental message that the title tries to convey for the approximately 6/7 hours necessary to complete it. While generally solid, the gameplay shows its side to some critical issues, especially in the combat phases, but the breathtaking artistic direction alone is reason enough to embark on this bittersweet epic.

Tides of Tomorrow attempts to depict a world suffocated by plastic—crafting a fascinating setting rich in thematic potential—yet ultimately treats the subject with the same superficiality with which, outside the screen, we have learned to coexist with it. All the right ingredients are there: the ambition to confront the player with the moral consequences of their actions, bolstered by a brilliant concept like the "Story-Link," which strives to weave players' choices together within a shared dimension. The problem, however, is that this very ambition struggles to translate into something truly impactful. The numerous choices rarely carry the weight they should, and the saccharine writing style ends up excessively dampening the tone. Tides of Tomorrow offers glimpses of something immense lurking beneath the surface, yet never quite manages to bring it to light.

Hard and merciless, as an old-school RPG. Too linear and static as well.

Crush3D is a great puzzle game. Difficult and characterized by an excellent level design, it cannot be considered a masterpiece of the genre due to reduced longevity.

It remains a challenging game, with some unexpected and surprising jolts, and a good background quality. If the team had applied more we would have had a worthy "rival" of Salt & Sanctuary, while at the moment the product of Ska Studio surpasses this Death's Gambit at every level.

A good portable version of the Namco-Bandai Saga. Unfortunately, gameplay is strictly arcade and this might discourage many gamers.

Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 isn't a complete disappointment, yet it makes very clear how difficult it is to accomplish a good sequel, especially when you need to please both the hardcore fans and the masses. The switch from fixed camera angles to freeview adds some hiccups in the game mechanics, while stealth, platforming and unimaginative boss fights often spoil the fun. There must be a great sequel hidden down there, but it's seldom seen during the 10+ hour of hack'n'slashing.

The Invincible proved to be a successful homage and an adventure capable of capturing the complexity and restlessness of Stanislaw Lem's work. Despite some negligible frivolities, the attention to detail and the depth of the story fully repay the gaming experience, offering all lovers of narrative adventures (or those who want to approach the gaming model) a title to take into serious consideration.

Battle Fantasia is a solid Beat'em Up, an exemplar new IP. Great characters and deep gameplay mechanics, supported by an unusual variety, make Arc System title an hidden gem. Unfortunately, the game reaches PAL market a few years after its original release, and that means that graphic engine isn't excellent. With more game modes (and a budget price), the title could have been a must buy.

No Heroes Allowed! is another upgrade of this saga. If you loved the previous editions, buy it without any doubt. Conversely, if you are tired of the Acquires's proposal, or you never loved the saga, keep a safe distance from No Heroes Allowed!

Overall, Undisputed is a worthy product, which manages to bring “great boxing” back to the market in video games, a good fifteen years after the release of the last Fight Night. The core of the proposal is represented by an excellent assortment of mechanics, which grants ample room for maneuver both to those looking for a more technical experience, and to novices in the art of digital boxing. The balance between these two aspects of the offer, however, is not yet calibrated to perfection, and it is easy to notice a group of rough edges that, put together, hold the game back from expressing its full potential.
