The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D is a classic that still works, even though it's essentially the same game as it was in 1998. It would surprise me if Nintendo in the future doesn't feel the need of releasing a new console with a battery that lasts longer between recharges, since that is the biggest issue with his remake. Using the gyroscope doesn't match well with the need of having your 3DS connected to the wall socket. But all in all, the excellent adventure remains intact.

The game mechanics are solid, bosses are satisfying creatures. The Suda 51/Mikami/Yamaoka trio clearly have a lot of ideas on their plate, but the games' infantile humor and macho bravado goes a little too far, and the end result lacks the magic that's promised in the beginning.

In all essence, this game already came out last year. At least engine and bugwise. A new coat of paint, a new scenario but with all the flaws of the predecessor, this is a rushed job at the core. The gameplay clearly suffers from being churned out in the same fashion, year after year.

inFamous 2 is graphically way more polished version than it's predecessor, but it doesn't fix any of the inherent problems from the first game. Hunted has a fun concept that mixes the mechanics from Gears of War and the aesthetics from God of War with RPG elements from World of Warcraft. But the end reslut is messy and feels very rough around the edges. The saving grace is the coop mode, which is quite fun.

It's not just the dated game mechanics and the misogynism that drags the experience down. Somewhere along the way, Gearbox have lost track of the series' charm, and have effectively killed the franchise for good with their blunt approach. It feels like I'm saying goodbye to an old friend that I've grown apart from and have nothing in common with any more. And I'm out of gum too. What a bummer.

Child of Eden is a wonderful game that delivers an experience like no other. The only real flaws are the short length and Kinect controls that only accept one arm at a time. Cabela's Dangerous Hunts 2011 may have some obvious flaws, like the inept plastic controller and some bug issues, but the overall charm and playful jibes at political correctness is quite refreshing. A sequel that fails to live up to the promises of the first game, but fixes a number of flaws while updating the graphics and battle system. It's neither very good nor very bad, it's just serviceable. Collectors will find plenty of things to collect, and the multiplayer modes promise longevity, but for the single player there isn't all that much to do story-wise. It's a sad sign of a Japanese rpg not daring to break the mold.

It has been long time since I encountered a game that fails to deliver on all counts. Everything promised feels wasted, incomplete or just old. Team Bondi and Rockstar delivers a new kind of story telling. Brutal, mind numbing action has taken a backseat and the atmosphere, story and L.A. itself is driving this car. The different gameplay components in L.A. Noire may be a little repetitive after 10-15 hours play but mix everything in a blender and you get an experience not seen in many years. uDraw has a lot of potential, but it misses the target with uDraw Studio as the application is too difficult for children and too simple for adults. So it'll be up to the other games for uDraw to justify the cost of the peripheral.

Test Drive Unlimited 2 has brilliant potential with loads of driving content and all the necessary grounds for a brilliant MMO. However, the game delivers a really bad driving experience and the servers are more often offline than online. It's still worth buying if you enjoyed the last game of the series though, but be aware that it doesn't stand a chance against rival series like Gran Turismo, Need for Speed and Forza.

While not exactly a bad thing, the single player campaign in PixelJunk Shooter 2 is basically more of the same puzzle/shoot'em up hybrid from the first game. However an interesting online battle mode adds both value and freshness to the formula.

Charlie Blackmore's adventure is very beautiful and meticulously designed - with charming music and game mechanics that haven't been seen anywhere else. But creativity cannot alone earn a score, and Stacking lacks too much soul and is too careful when it comes to its humour.

The Bejeweled series returns with a fifth installment, incorporating the series classic gameplay along with the spin-off Bejeweled Twist, also adding local and online multiplayer. While the simple and catchy gameplay offers adequate fun, the lack of depth makes for short and unsatisfying sessions. Multiplayer adds a well-needed boost and in the end makes Bejeweled Blitz LIVE worth your while.

Lord of Arcana tries a little too hard to be Monster Hunter, and ends up as a repetetive, soulless grinding feast. You may appreciate the game if you really love the genre, but there are way better alternatives out there.

If you're looking for a slightly different fighting game and don't want to refer to yourself as mainstream, then Blazblue: Continuum Shift is an excellent option. It's got good graphics, challenging gameplay and well-crafted offline and online modes, with plenty of content.

It's only during multiplayer sessions that Raskulls shines, as the campaign is quite bland. But playing against other people at home or over the net can be plenty of fun, as long as you can find other players.

LittleBigPlanet 2 is an improvement over most things in the excellent first game, but it's not as breathtakingly revolutionary as its predecessor. All game clones that other people are creating always seem to be slighlty worse than their originals, but Media Molecule should be applauded for putting these tools in the players hands.

Don't expect to learn any parenting tips that can be applied in real life. And don't expect to see any gender-based issues brought up either. However, as a game it may fill some niche with 3-5 year old girls with parents who want to perpetuate the stereotype.

There's no reason to buy this game, or for it to even exist, as the only thing it brings to the table is to interpret if the player is telling the truth or a lie. And since this is done haphazardly it's more like having a really annoying person in the room with you. Don't waste your money.
