Battlefleet Gothic: Armada is an interesting proposition, worth recommending for gamers interested in complicated strategy, with quick reflexes and divided attention. It's also a beautiful adaptation, perfectly conveying the atmosphere of Warhammer 40,000.

This year's Call of Duty greatly improves the campaign, with a solid Zombie mode and a good cast. Focus on story hurts the multiplayer, where Modern Warfare Remastered is a better option if we decide to spend more on the Legacy edition.

Crimson Desert is undoubtedly an original and ambitious game, but at the same time it feels a bit like a soup with too many ingredients thrown in. On one hand, it offers an intriguing world where almost every hour of play can bring something new; on the other, it overwhelms with an excess of mechanics you constantly have to learn, often without much guidance. When you take a closer look at its gameplay systems, you’ll notice plenty of missteps, yet despite them it’s hard to remain indifferent to this game. If you can accept its flaws and invest a good amount of time and attention, you’ll likely get hooked just like I did - discovering an adventure on a scale beyond anything we’ve seen in video games so far.

Nobody Wants to Die is a cold water splash reminding us that the concept of a “cinematic experience” doesn't have to be just an empty marketing gimmick or an excuse for gameplay shortcomings. The beautifully designed and neatly presented world, combining the atmosphere of cyberpunk and 20th century detective stories, is an actual protagonist of the game. It's just a shame that sometimes it overshadows the rest of the cast and the story itself.

Milestone is betting on a safe sequel. Hot Wheels Unleashed 2: Turbocharged fixes main flaws of its predecessor and offers a couple of novelties. The results are mixed, but it is still a must-have for fans of the original.

Perhaps the lack of innovation is disappointing, but the game is so good that it's hard to indifferently pass it by. Grey Goo is the essence of a proper RTS, gathering all the best and recognizable elements from many classic predecessors.

Hitman is a great game, one of the best in series. Even one episode lasts for hours, if we don't mind coming back to the same location. Episodic formula will be a disappointment for players interesting in back to back mission on different maps.

Great combination of simulation and action elements. Lackluster visuals spoil the experience a little, but it's still worth giving this game a chance, because exploring its various gameplay mechanics is a lot of fun.

Tennis doesn’t get more fun than this. While the biggest new addition in this entry - the Fever rackets - could use a bit more balancing, this shortcoming hardly overshadows the game’s rock-solid foundations: an excellent ball-hitting feel, a great rally pace, and pure fun in every match. Mario Tennis Fever works just as well as a party game for couch multiplayer as it does as a more demanding, skill-based experience for fans of online competition. Unfortunately, it falls short when it comes to the relatively limited amount of single-player content.

After huge worlds and hours-long campaigns, it's time for something shorter and more modest. Adventure on a smaller scale works well in Assassin's Creed Mirage, even if it's simply a well-executed sequel. There's nothing particularly amazing here, but also nothing to pick on.

The two main innovations in FC 25, namely Rush mode and the FC IQ system, really hit the mark. However, the other significant changes can be counted on the fingers of one hand. If you liked FC 24, you will certainly like FC 25, but if you were not a fan of the previous installment, you will probably not have a good time here.

Apotheon offers a unique graphical style and an interesting, non-linear adventure. However, imperfect controls can be off-putting for less patient players, especially in dexterity-demanding sections.

Mario vs. Donkey Kong is an enjoyable remake of an acclaimed puzzle platformer hybrid from the Game Boy era. All features of the original are included, but the formula is mixed with some fresh elements and completely new levels. The addition of two gameplay modes was a good decision, as this makes the game suitable for gamers of all ages.

Obduction can only be recommeneded for hardcore fans of challenging 3D adventure games, but they will find everything they were waiting for in Cyan World's game: hours of puzzles, fantastic world full of mysteries to discover, and beautiful graphics.

The Beginner's Guide is a specific, unusual and intriguing independent production. Certainly Impressive, but not for everyone.

Simple story, low difficulty level in campaign and lack of variety among fighters can be a little disappointing. Pokken Tournament seems to be a base for future, more robust installments.

It would appear that Assassin's Creed is slowly changing into a series more akin to sports games, with annual editions and minimal changes. As it turns out however, changes in Syndicate are much more prominent and fresh, bringing positive surprises to gameplay. It's not a game without errors, but definitely worth recommending.

An interesting and pleasant adventure, not too demanding alternative for Pokémon fans, who are perhaps a little bit tired with the same formula. Yo-Kai Watch won't offer any deep gameplay system, but maybe that's the point.

First part of the White March expansion, even though solid and with fantastic icy locations, is definitely not amazing. The transition from story to chain of combat scenarios is a step in the wrong direction.

If space travel was removed from Star Wars Outlaws, the game would be stripped down to elements that were already considered obsolete seven years ago. The well-crafted Star Wars atmosphere does not make up for the painfully simple gameplay, and the main character lacks the adventurous charisma that would engage players in the story. Such a combination resulted in a mediocre title, distinguished by only a few original ideas for open-world fun.

Despite some shortcomings, Blood Bowl 2 will please fans of tactical gameplay and planning on a football field. Lack of proper tutorials makes it hard for newcomers.

Far Cry Primal offers fresh and revamped atmosphere, but very little in terms of new mechanics. Thankfully, the core gameplay is still immensely satisfying, especially in later stages. Overall, Primal marks a step in the right direction for the Far Cry series.

In recent years Team Ninja focused on soulslikes, a somewhat niche genre among big-budget games. Rise of the Ronin builds on this previous output, but at the same time opens up to the mass consumer, thanks in part to its open-world structure and lower difficulty level. Although the developers didn't succeed in everything, this attempt can be counted as successful.

Cronos: The New Dawn feels like a ‘Greatest Hits’ album - only instead of radio anthems, you get a blend of the best gameplay elements from classic survival horrors. Bloober Team may not have added quite enough of their own creative spin, but they’ve certainly delivered an intriguingly crafted world and an engaging story.

No actual campaign and focus on four players and one monster feels fresh only for a while. Currently, the constant repetition simply becomes boring, and interesting content fills only a couple of evenings.

The Crew Motorfest cleverly takes inspiration from Forza Horizon and yet somehow manages to maintain a unique identity. The result is not only a worthy competitor to the Playground Games series, but also a great racing sandbox that anyone can enjoy, regardless of their platform of choice.

If you think that an action game can't exist without boss battles, Furi is a must for you. Various skirmishes are well-designed, placed in fascinating world, with great graphics. One of the biggest surprises this year - but Furi is definitely not for everyone.
