While everyone was expecting a revolution in the action-RPG genre, Biomutant proves to be just a derivative open-world experience with a pretty decent combat/crafting system and a weak mission design.

An interesting twist on the survival genre. A point and click adventure with a very original black and white style and a branching story telling that leads to a number of different endings.

Hitchhiker: A Mystery Game by Mad About Pandas it is a product as simple as it is mysterious. Do not be fooled by the cartoon aspect, the adventure you will be called to live is much deeper than it appears on the surface.

Shin Megami Tensei Nocturne HD Remaster is still a great old-school JRPG today, despite feeling the weight of its years. This new edition manages to remove some dust and offers the chance, for younger players, to recover an iconic title from the past, but it is undeniable that the remastering work could have been done in a much better way.

Mind Scanners is a narrative, dystopian game with some management elements. Aesthetically among the most apt on the subject. Unfortunately, its many timed minigames reduce the amount of writing elements and narrative gameplay.

Essays on Empathy is a beautiful compilation of 10 short narrative games which, unfortunately, needed a lot of corrections before being released.

Days Gone is a good open world, a bit conservative in its mechanics but with wonderful scenarios. The PC edition improves its framerate and graphics making Bend Studio’s game more evocative and stunning than ever.

Resident Evil: Village is the perfect meeting point between the action and survival horror soul of the legendary Capcom series. It is the natural evolution of the seventh chapter and one of the best iterations of the franchise to date.

Returnal is a captivating PS5 exclusive which blends a third person shooter with several cornerstones of the roguelike/roguelite genre in an astounding result. Housemarque creates a challenging and rewarding gameplay delivering in every other aspect of the experience: graphics, sound and DualSense features above all. Then the plot...a complex and convoluted mystery that will definitely capture you.

MotoGP 21 is the incarnation of the “less is more” creative philosophy. Milestone decided to direct every effort towards the race, improving the physics and the driving systems, making good use of every next-gen feature, including a brilliant PS5's DualSense implementation. This, however, gave birth to a very minimalistic and detailed experience, something that will surely appeal hardcore fans but might result redundant in the hands of more casual players.

Kaze and the Wild Masks is an excellent old school platform which does everything in the right way. It might not be strikingly original or full of wacky, strange mechanics but it's definitely fun and rich of well thought out ideas blending with a wonderful pixel art and solid gameplay and level design.
