My review in one word: 'meh'! You see a lot of good intentions, but in the end, the team somehow lacked the courage or the resources to execute on them.

Its stimulating forward-facing combat system, unusually sinister scenario and phenomenal soundtrack fight against stingy game economy and a constantly threatening spiral of frustration.

As soon as you're on the ice, this is an entertaining enough Hockey game. But if you're looking for anything in the way of variety in terms of game modes, this is a difficult game to recommend. It plays well, but in this form it doesn't do enough to justify full-price.

Ultima Forever is not only an act of treason for this series. It's an act of treason for every single good concept the family of free-to-play games knows. It's so bad, it's saddening, unbelievably boring and empty and technically just on a level that in no way justifies it's shameful performance.

No matter if you're six, 26 or 66 years old: Nobody likes a solo mode that's being sabotaged by the co-op game, and everyone can appreciate tight controls and a competent camera. It's basic things that this game just doesn't seem to be able to succeed at. Which is a shame, because creatively Epic Mickey 2 is a small wonder, be it in its imaginatively designed characters, its songs or its world designs.

By no means is Murdered: Souls Suspect one of the best titles of the year, but it's one of the most likeable ones.

Truth be told, Doom 3 has held up better than I expected. It's still a game with both its feet in the nineties, and one whose haunted house antics work best in small doses. But when it clicks, it does so with the resounding blast of a shotgun to the face. As a package, though, the BFG Edition is hardly the be all, end all in all things Doom most people might have expected. None of the games in this box comes in its best form, which basically tells you all you need to know.

There's some almost sublime moments in this, inviting you to think about the more tenderly alluded themes. But you don't really bother, you're just too bored. And if you're honest, you don't really care.

For 20 Euros I had expected another planet or at least a new region for one of the existing ones. But with the exception of the raid, this feels like somebody just started a random number generator in their lunch break.

There's some good moments and interesting concepts in here, together with the low price point, they counter some of the shortcomings a bit. Still, this is never more than a mediocre and ultimately a bit boring adventure-game, that lacks esprit and character.

As much as I appreciate that Irresponsible Games an Daedalic are trying to capture the zeitgeist and the social conflicts of an era, I can't help but be utterly frustrated to see all the promise just go to waste on a startlingly conventional cock-and-bull story.

Getting spotted behind a bush from 300 yards away and subsequently getting shot right in the face wasn't especially fun back in the day, and still isn't. It's kind of surprising that after ten years and under these circumstances, this reunion still manages to be quite a blast at times.

Structurally, this is a really clever game. To get the most out of this remarkably liberal samurai-playground, though, you should be willing to make some compromises when it comes to the stiff and stuttering fighting engine and the colorful, but somewhat ancient-looking graphics.

In essence, it's got quite a lot of things going for it as interesting spin-offs go. The hunt for experience points and the leveling up of your character can motivate for a while you if that sort of thing floats your boat. In that light, it really is a bit of a shame that WayForward didn't dare to go even deeper into the role playing aspects. It's a game trapped somewhere between looting and survival, the series' past and its own future.

It's competent enough, efficient as a means to fill the day and not totally devoid of fun, but you'll never be in it with all your heart. It's time to quit and leave EDN III. This time, maybe once and for all.

As soon as this gets a map editor, I'll happily bump up the score [twenty] whole points. Until then, this extremely authentic and well done representation of the beloved board game is frankly just missing one of its most important features.

It might not be the same rush as the original, but it's solid enough to be a welcome stopgap until the next Trials rides along.

A hack & slash game without a skinner-box loot reflex is bad enough. T o make matters worse, the quality of the fighting mechanics never holds up with the wide roster of heroes. If your favorite Marvel character is in the starting line up of this free-to-play MMO, one go can't hurt. Still, it's a shame what this turned out to be, considering the promising license.

Fans of the series will be dissatisfied by the stingy assortment of weapons, the overly mindless fights and the barrage of quick-time events. (…) If you're able to look past the many simplifications in comparison to earlier games in the series, just looking for a fast and undemanding slaughter, Ninja Gaiden 3 fits the bill just fine.

Wanted: Dead has an anachronistic flair that I am incredibly fond of… So, if you don’t exactly hate that Wanted: Dead seems like a game wholly out of time, I wholeheartedly recommend Hannah Stone’s B-Movie shenanigans.

Once again, a port from Aspyr that I'm ambivalent about. On the one hand, I'm delighted to be able to play Star Wars: Bounty Hunter on my Xbox Series. But on the other hand, I'm always thinking about what could have been, I see the potential for even more improvements around every corner.

Fans of the Duke get quite a few hours of enjoyable and varied gameplay, new bossfights and more. But if you didn´t like Duke Nukem: Forever, then the Doctor won´t change your opinion.

Sony, again, proves itself as a publisher willing to treat itself to some unconventional and outright anti-commercial games. In this regard I would love offer the best of compliments to Datura and Plastic – too bad that I can´t think of a single one.

The First Descendant does not yet feel like it could become a serious competitor to the big names in the genre. Perhaps the game will surprise us with more endgame content that will satisfy our looter-shooter needs. So far, my experience has been mixed.

I'm not usually one to judge a game by its title, but in case of this game, there's really not too much behind its generic denomination. It's a standard multiplayer shooter with some nice ideas which lack quality in their execution. Skip this one, this genre has loads of better alternatives that will entertain you better and longer.

It's doubtful that SOL: Exodus will be a deciding factor in reviving the space-opera-genre, but it is still good to see that there are people out there who also love to dust off their joysticks and head out for a space fight.

You're only a few minutes into this, before you realize that "more of the same" was all they aimed to achieve with Riptide. The devs didn't seem to care about anything else, not even ironing out all the kinks of the original game. There will be people who think this was enough, as the basic lot of zombie killing and looting is still intact. In a week where Capcom gives us a Dark Arisen that encompasses all of the original game – Dragon's Dogma – for a much, much lower asking price, you really can't help but feel like someone's having a laugh at your expense.

Little Deviants is the sort of inevitable minigame collection that seems to grace every new console with more exotic control options, but is forgotton rather quickly. (...) You have to wonder why Sony saw the necessity to make a game that says little more than "We can also do smartphone-gaming". As if we ever asked.
