While THUG offers some innovation, it remains fundamentally the same game...Fundamantally, Hawk hasn't evolved enough. [Jan 2004, p.112]- Electronic Gaming Monthly

If you're not a hardcore fan of the genre, GX will fast make you furious. The game's punishing difficulty will push many gamers past single-digit exclamations and into an extended rant of DEFCON 1-level profanity... But a lot of you are looking for an ultradifficult racing challenge. Here it is. [Oct 2003, p.158]- Electronic Gaming Monthly

It's playing solo that puts this one over the top. Creating a custom hoopster and earning respect never feels repetitive. [March 2005, p.116]- Electronic Gaming Monthly

With superb dungeons, exciting combat, and one of the coolest gameplay gimmicks ever (shrinking down to Minish size), this is definitely one Zelda you don't want to miss. [Feb 2005, p.116]- Electronic Gaming Monthly

The frame rate has also been improved upon over NHL 2002 on the PS2, and runs as smooth as Michael Jordan’s newly shaved head.- Electronic Gaming Monthly

The option to equalize the stats of both teams in an online contest stands out as particularly brilliant. Not that most of it isn't already brilliant. Because it is. [Aug 2004, p.100]- Electronic Gaming Monthly

You know a soccer title is doing it right when a match can end in a scoreless tie and you've had as much fun as when you've lit up the scoreboard. And this is in large part due to WE9's A.I., which plays such a smart brand of footy that it continually keeps you on your toes.- Electronic Gaming Monthly

Its gameplay isn’t revolutionary, and a couple of its missions get a tad tedious, but Ace Combat 4 sure looks pretty, which is half the reason flying buffs play these air-combat games anyway. [Dec 2001, p.234]- Electronic Gaming Monthly

The excellent stealth gameplay, tangible sense of danger, and believable scenario (take that, "MGS2") render this a must-play experience. [May 2003, p.120]- Electronic Gaming Monthly

EA's improved everything in this game, from graphics to putting to new arcade modes that help pass the time. There's just no better golf game out there. [Oct 2003, p.136]- Electronic Gaming Monthly

Aside from offering a deeper, feature-heavy dynasty mode (now complete with minor league squads), 2004 revolutionizes the art of videogame batting muich like 2003 did with pitching. [Apr 2004, p.117]- Electronic Gaming Monthly

This is the first stealth FPS I've played that actually works. From it's near-perfect melee controls and truly next-generation-level graphics to the pacing imbedded in its taut narrative, Riddick is a must-see, must-play, must-buy Xbox classic. [July 2004, p.100]- Electronic Gaming Monthly

No other game comes anywhere close to replicating what it feels like to lay down two streaks of rubber in a '69 GT40 when the green flag drops, or hit 200 mph on the back straight at Le Sarthe. There are few games that can draw you in so completely that you forget you're playing a game in the first place, and this is one of them.- Electronic Gaming Monthly
