It has a strong graphical kick, enough weapons to outfit a nutso right-wing militia group, and a solid multiplayer package. Just make sure you get the patch.

The problem is, the raw mechanics of the game are simply quite the logistical chore, with very little chance to even sit back and enjoy the otherwise-entertaining detail animations which might lend some humor to the game.

A truly Kaufmanesque moment occurs in Exhibition mode, when you can elect to face Andy Kaufman as Andy Kaufman. He would have loved that.

Pump up the difficulty, unlock more videos, and more players, create more characters; you can and will still have a lot of fun with Street Hoops after you start to catch on to its flaws.

It certainly doesn’t take top ranking for hoop games on the PS2, but it has a lot of nice features to offer.

You'll find yourself irritated with the pace, yet unable to stop. Diggles then, succeeds greatly at engaging game players, yet not so well at entertaining them.

The best thing about NBA ShootOut 2003 is the career mode that allows you to create a player and work your way into the NBA through good play in the summer leagues.

It will likely satiate role-playing game aficionados who would step over their own mother for something to play on their PS2, but don’t expect Squaresoft-quality gameplay.

A playable game with a some enjoyable moments. If you've got the patience to struggle with the less than perfect control, go ahead and rent this one.

Fans of Wolverine will love the story, which delves heavily into the character's history with references to Department H and Weapon X aplenty.

[It's] no Mario or Crash, [but] it does have a unique take on the genre that plays well with kids and those of us who can't get enough of the old Warner Bros. cartoons.

The graphics showing off the powers, however, are much better. Mr. Fantastic's stretching, for example, looks completely convincing.

But what made me put down the Dualshock in frustration is control... Base running is the primary offender... It's just too confusing and counterintuitive, especially if you're brave enough to try returning to bases.

I enjoyed the story elements of the game immensely. The communication between the characters in Mission: Impossible is mature and completely in tune with the feel of the series and film. Unfortunately, the bulk of the gameplay in the adventure is not up to the quality of the atmosphere that is created for us.

The game's biggest problem though is its paltry length... In the end, CSI is lots of fun for fans of the TV show, and is a decent adventure game in its own right.

Unlike Batman, however, Tarzan has awesome control, good camera angles, and excellent gameplay.

If you enjoyed Rune but wanted more multiplayer play, these two new modes offered in Halls of Valhalla will likely do very little to satiate your needs. Action fans should pass on this game altogether and put that same $20 towards "Serious Sam."

If you go into Nightcaster knowing it's a fantasy-themed action combat game and not an RPG by any stretch of the imagination, you'll be rewarded with a solid, gorgeous and low-maintenance experience.

Those who love controlling every aspect of a battle, those who have time to spend mastering the cumbersome interface, and those who don't mind managing a daunting number of units may enjoy BCT Commander. Everyone else should stay away.

Not as bad as I feared, not as good as I'd hoped. I find some features, such as camera control, more intuitive than even the 360 version. Other functions don't hold out so well.

The action is intense; the settings are spectacular and the gameplay is very well balanced.

It can't touch my all-time favorite adventure games, but it goes down nice and easy, like a midnight snack.

In the end playing Gangsters 2 is like watching a really bad B-movie. You enjoy yourself not because the movie is well directed, or acted; you watch the movie because parts of it are so bad it makes you laugh.

You've seen these types of puzzles before, but they are decently difficult and varied enough to please most adventure gamers.

If you have other consoles and are going to get a version of it, it's probably better to look at the GameCube and Xbox versions.

It took me almost an hour before I GOT King's Field: The Ancient City--and then the experience suddenly became charming, challenging and rewarding.

The game is completely customizable in almost every category including graphics and difficulty.

The voice work in this game is awful and unprofessional.
