Jet Set Radio is a beloved classic, but the iOS version does not do it justice. It is an impressive technical feat that the game can even run on iOS, but that novelty quickly wears off once you actually hop into a level and attempt to skate around.

The game covers the events of the comics up through the campsite, with at least two future updates planned adding levels up through the prison and beyond. Fans of the series will surely get a kick out of seeing the comics come to life in The Walking Dead: Assault, but the repetitive level goal might make you feel like a zombie just going through the motions before the game is through.

Once you start an online match everything runs fine, but the initial connection often takes longer to establish than the match takes to play. Connection issues aside, for speedy wordsmiths Writer Rumble is an excellent find while those with slower fingers will want to steer clear for something more turn-based.

Super Snack Time is a fun and addicting puzzle game, with a reliance on in-game currency that gets in the way more than it helps the experience.

Much of what made Paper Mario charming in the first place still remains with Sticker Star. However, this 3DS game can be pretty tedious to play. The sticker system is a fresh and interesting idea, but ultimately, too many problems bog the game down and what's left is a lacklustre installment.

Toy Story Mania lacks charm, personality, a challenge and perhaps most importantly of all in a mini-game collection, variety. While we appreciate that it's aimed at a younger crowd, it's hard to imagine it appealing to anybody, regardless of age. Perhaps we could be more forgiving if it was packaged as a budget app, but as a full priced game Kinect game for kids, Kinect Disneyland Adventure and Sesame Street: Once Upon a Monster offer bags more entertainment.

It is unforgiving and brutal, but in the best of ways that challenges players to carefully consider each step. For those who don't shy away from a challenge, ZombiU may just be the best reason to own a Wii U at launch.

There is surely scope to make a decent Family Guy game - just imagine an adventure or puzzle title littered with acerbic humor and smart observations. But as a shooter, Back to the Multiverse is a hopelessly moronic, completely pointless experience that will please neither Family Guy fans nor people who enjoy games. In this case, the joke is most definitely on us.

Unfortunately, Shadowgun: DeadZone is a technical mess. The game crashes almost as often as it works, and when it does work the online lag will make it seem like players are practically teleporting across the map.

While this sort of endless runner formula has been fairly exhausted on iOS devices already, Verticus manages to still stand out as a top notch game thanks to the skydiving freedom of movement and responsive controls.

Bladeslinger may be a showpiece on iOS for how it looks, but the gameplay was just too ambitious for the touchscreen's capabilities this time, and the overall game suffers as a result.

The game gives little motivation to step out of your comfort zone to solve puzzles in clever or innovative ways, but becomes far more satisfying when used as an outlet for your imagination rather than strictly adhering to any level's given goals. It's as fun of an experience as you make it, with those yearning to flex their creative muscles getting the most from the virtual sandbox.

Sumo Digital has done a great job paying homage to Sega's legacy, but Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed is more than a mere nostalgia fest, creating a polished racer in its own right with enough energy and playability to rival the Mario Kart series.

It's easy to feel a little jaded about yet another LEGO game, especially coming so soon after LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes. But that soon fades as you jump into LEGO The Lord of the Rings. This huge, open-world game simply never misses a beat and also breathes new life into the familiar property of The Lord of the Rings.

PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale achieves what its sets out to do for the most part. Sony now has its answer to Super Smash Bros and PS3 and Vita owners have a place to turn to for accessible multiplayer bawls. It's a well-presented game that does justice to its cast of characters, but it could have been something more with a solo campaign of greater substance.

Despite a surprising amount of repetition within the single-player campaign, Far Cry 3 is a wonderful shooter with lots of secrets to discover and a huge game world to explore. Taking place in a stunning environment and featuring a compelling narrative, as well as an excellent cast of characters, Far Cry 3 offers hours of enjoyment, something which is greatly extended thanks to its competitive and co-operative multiplayer modes.

The fact that it is actually possible to earn enough currency to unlock everything makes Chip Chain unique among free-to-play games, to the delight of players. All of it leads back to a satisfying core matching game that will keep players glued to their touchscreens for a long time to come.

Players uninterested in collecting all of the stars and going back to earn medals will likely feel that Sleepwalker's Journey is over far too quickly. It is, with levels that are meant to be replayed and mastered rather than offering a lengthy adventure.

Overall the game is fairly easy, with odd spikes in difficulty every few levels as a boss creature is introduced. Bosses typically require you to go back and replay past levels for more experience to upgrade your cats, making the game more reliant on sheer numbers than actual strategy.

Hitman: Absolution does have a few flaws, but these certainly don't take away from what is a polished and in-depth package that turns killing into a fine art. Hitman purists may decry the latest title, but in our opinion the balance between stealth and action is just right. Most importantly, you feel that you always have the freedom to bring death in any way you choose. The world is your oyster; now go kill in it.

Despite the best efforts of all involved to try to avoid the pitfalls of the original, Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two still is still guilty of some of the offences of old, but it's as stylish and creative a platformer as you are ever likely play. Nobody can fault the developers for their ambition, and it's abundantly clear everyone on board had love and respect for the source material. Perhaps the third time around they'll perfect the formula.

LittleBigPlanet Karting succeeds in applying Media Molecule's 'create and share' formula to the racing genre, offering almost the same level of creative freedom as the core platform series. As a racing game in its own right, it struggles to compete with the genre's leaders such as ModNation Racers and Mario Kart, but at least manages to impress on the innovation front.

Is Curiosity a good game? No, not by a long shot, even if it could function properly without the constant server problems. But that's really the point, it seems, to experiment on how long people will continue to play even while knowing that it isn't good.
