It will be interesting to see how Forza Horizon fares against Need for Speed: Most Wanted, Criterion's new open world racer that is out next month. But in the absence of that review, it is clear that Playground Games has seriously raised the bar in all areas for the non-linear racing genre with Forza Horizon, and others will now have to play catchup.- Digital Spy

For all of its faults, Fable: The Journey is undoubtedly an experience, and one of the better single-player Kinect games on the market, even if it is a journey you're unlikely to make more than once.- Digital Spy

While some could rightly criticize The Unfinished Swan for what it is lacking, sometimes an empty space can still speak volumes. Just spray a dash of paint, and you may see that it isn't all that empty after all.- Digital Spy

Dance Central 3 continues to pack in authentic routines and a rigid scoring system, but new multiplayer options, mini-games and story modes make it the most inclusive, innovative and enjoyable entry to date.- Digital Spy

Pokemon White Version 2 is unlikely to convert anyone who was previously unconvinced by the installments of old, or ensnare many newcomers from the older demographic, but the series has always had a Marmite quality to it.- Digital Spy

Worms Revolution's name may be a misnomer, as the latest iteration doesn't stray much from past games. That isn't to say that nothing has changed through. The addition of classes and renewed role of water as a tactical tool bring some much-needed variety, adding new layers of depth to the franchise's strategic topsoil.- Digital Spy

Just Dance 4 is less of a sequel and more of an annual update, tinkering and tweaking with existing game modes in order to please its fanbase. Even so, an excellent soundtrack coupled with alternative routines, mashups and dance battles ensures that Ubisoft's latest continues to provide hours of entertainment.- Digital Spy

While utterly unlike the original game in any discernible way, Zaxxon Escape makes for a fun ride in its own right as the speed increases every second you survive.- Digital Spy

The controls are marvellously intuitive, as a simple tap launches one of the tentacles to latch onto the walls of whatever gut or organ you are currently navigating. Each tap sends out the next tentacle, creating a surprisingly smooth experience as the creature crawls through passages, often fighting against the current of bodily fluids.- Digital Spy

Without the guardian units, Blade Guardian would be a fairly generic entry in the tower defense genre. With their inclusion, the game becomes more interesting, but they are arguably more trouble than they are worth, making Blade Guardian difficult to recommend except to the most stalwart strategy fan.- Digital Spy

The game is pure destructive fun, but that purity comes at a cost. There is no score, leaderboard, or even a level star system, which may turn off some players who want a record of their gaming accomplishments.- Digital Spy

Physics complaints, menu screens and minor control issues aside, NBA 2K13 goes above and beyond the rim, packing in an enormous amount of content both on and off the court, providing yet another another slam dunk installment for 2K Sports.- Digital Spy

Dishonored's open-ended approach is a commendable one, but we felt the way it cheats the player out of the best ending if they choose the 'wrong' play style to be a bit frustrating. However, while it's a little short, Dishonored is ultimately a very enjoyable experience, with a vivid, unique world that will surprise whoever steps into it.- Digital Spy

The rigid quest structure and age-old combat system feel archaic when measured up against the new kid on the block Guild Wars 2, and the new features that the Mists of Pandaria brings aren't quite enough to recommend it to MMORPG newcomers over the NCsoft title. Blizzard has done plenty right with its latest expansion, but the battle to rule this thriving genre could be about to heat up like never before.- Digital Spy

With controller in hand and one bird left in your arsenal, eliminating that final elusive pig as satisfying as ever. Combined with rich, colourful visuals and bucketload of content, Angry Birds Trilogy is an attractive prospect. Unfortunately, however, poorly implemented Kinect controls and a hefty price tag means that while Angry Birds Trilogy offers the same addictive gameplay experience, players are better suited sticking to the touchscreen originals.- Digital Spy

Make no mistake, Torchlight 2 is nothing revolutionary. It favors a remix of genre conventions over any true evolution of the action RPG formula, but it is a pitch-perfect execution of those traditions that remains satisfying from start to finish and beyond- Digital Spy

Leon and Jake's campaigns, in particular, are hugely entertaining, showcasing the survival horror genre at its best. While Chris's campaign might well prove that two's company and three's a crowd, the excellent plot, cast of characters and additional content should ensure that Resident Evil 6 is revisited more times than Tall Oaks' pharmacy.- Digital Spy

New Little King's Story should be commended for the way it amalgamates several complex genres into one fun and accessible package. It will almost certainly appeal to RPG fans more than real-time strategy veterans, but the elements it draws from both genres complement each other exceptionally well. Although players familiar with the Wii version will notice more than a few similarities, most of the comparisons drawn will no doubt be favourable.- Digital Spy

When the teams hit the field and the game kicks off, there's little to choose between FIFA 13 and the latest PES. A wealth of online and offline game modes and a rich supply of extras, however, ensures that FIFA 13 picks up another trophy in the most closely contested virtual football season to date. Like a Manchester United team chasing its 20th league title or Gareth Bale charging at a frightened right back, EA Canada is showing no signs of slowing down in its pursuit of the perfect football sim.- Digital Spy

Hell Yeah! certainly stands out enough to be very memorable, but it's also wildly inconsistent. The game starts off strong and there are chunks of fun to be had across the campaign, yet some noteworthy annoyances - including lengthy load times - prevent it from gathering momentum and delivering an all-around satisfying and enjoyable platformer. The potential is clearly there, but not quite fulfilled.- Digital Spy

Despite some poor design choices and sub-par graphics, Tokyo Jungle is an oddly addictive game that exudes charm. Each survival attempt feels unique thanks to a steady stream of unlockable animals, new challenges and hidden areas. Stranger than anything we've played this year, Tokyo Jungle is a unique title which, while not without its flaws, is wildly entertaining and well worth a download.- Digital Spy

LittleBigPlanet PS Vita in many ways defines the series. The option to create on the move or jump in and out of user-generated mini-games sees the concept take on a new level of significance, and it makes few compromises along the way. Age-old complaints about the complex nature of content creation still apply, but so does every one of the plus points of the PS3 classics.- Digital Spy
