Overall, Mario & Luigi: Bowser’s Inside Story is an enjoyable game and an incredibly deep one at that.

Rainbow Studios has done an impressive job of creating an immersive and enjoyable off-road racing experience. If you have any interest at all in racing games, then MX vs. ATV Reflex is definitely worth checking out.

Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools of Destruction is a solid debut of the franchise on the PS3. Although the story is kind of weak and the difficulty is not as hard as it could be, the game manages to rely on other strengths to make this a great ride.

Colorful environments and entertaining animations complete with Nintendo's patented stable of sounds ensure repeat enjoyment and lasting value.

So lock those doors, close those windows and prepare yourself for something a little more involving, and a whole lot more terrifying.

An online mode that provides an excellent racing experience.

The game is fast, fun, easy to control, and it's the first title to offer up to four players for the PS2 with a multitap device.

With a surprisingly good single player game and an addictive online multiplayer component, this game has replay value.

The game is well detailed, looks and sounds beautiful and is quite fun to play.

Fortunately, the story and humor were my main concerns, and they seem to have come through almost completely intact.

It has all the right components (quality gameplay, strong graphics and sound). Move over Civilization, there's a new emperor in town and his name Caesar 4.

Another year, comes another Madden game. While this years version once again delivers, and certainly does the NFL proud, it is still however a Madden game. The core game remains the same and despite all the enhancements, Madden NFL 12 looks and feels very similar to last year's iteration. Hardcore fans will inevitably purchase the game, but for those fringe fans who already own Madden NFL 11 it is hard to recommend dropping another 60 bucks on a game that plays almost identical to last years. That being said, on its own Madden NFL 12 is a stunner and is an upgrade, albeit slight, over its predecessor.

If you enjoy puzzles, this is one for you. Kind of like a 5000 piece jigsaw with only 3 shades of grey to choose from be prepared to spend many hours piecing this mystery together.

You will be thinking about the game long after you played it, where should I place my artillery?

It is the best platformer you'll play all year, guaranteed. The pacing is wonderful, controls are intuitive and responsive, the gameplay is addictive, the worlds are beautiful and the plot will keep you coming back for more.

All-in-all, NCAA 11 delivers on so many levels and is truly an enjoyment this time around.

With 18 breeds of dogs, extremely lifelike animation and a cute factor that is over the top, one cannot go wrong by giving Nintendogs a try.

When looking at this game, you have to look at the game itself, and leave the hype behind. When you do that, you find a great sim-racing game, with an amazing amount of single player goodness and a real learning experience that most of us will never experience in real life.

With great graphics, a more forgiving control scheme, great music and fantastic online play, videogaming snowboarders can't go wrong.

EA Sports has done another excellent job with its latest hockey title, NHL 12. They have done some noticeable tweaking to an already solid game and I think most sports fans will appreciate the new additions while fans of the franchise, like myself, will love the familiar gameplay. There is once again enough new stuff here to keep hockey lovers gaming on the virtual ice for another year.

If you want to have a blast over the holidays, go out and buy it. Rock on!

Extremely visually appealing and mentally stimulating.

One of the deepest and enjoyable games I have played in sometime, let alone the fact that is on the GBA.

Overall, Skylanders: Spyro's Adventure is one of the more innovative gaming experiences I have played on the Xbox 360 to date. Its cross-platforming abilities, slick looking toy figures, and enjoyable gameplay all make for a game which should not only please long time Spyro fans, but will surely satisfy the games younger target audience.

The graphics and overall presentation has been considerably improved.

Considering this is the first next-generation instalment of the UFC it is likely to be a great selling franchise for THQ as UFC 09: Undisputed is truly a knock-out.

This is a game that is definitely worth the purchase price and I think that it is a must have DLC title for the PlayStation 3.

For a sub-10 dollar game ($7.99 USD), Shatter is totally worth your cash and time. It is beautiful, unique, and most of all fun.

New Super Mario Bros Wii is a fun game, plain and simple.

Overall, Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood for the Xbox 360 is great bang for the buck.

With solid graphics, great sound, and some very addictive gameplay, including the multiplayer component, Resistance 3 is a great way for the PS3 to start the fall/winter season of gaming

The graphics are brilliant, especially in High Definition, and the sound is rock solid, and even more so in Dolby Digital 5.1.

Peggle is no doubt one of the more addictive games available on the Xbox LIVE arcade.

Other than slight pixelation in a few parts of the game, the graphics will leave you breathless and the sound is absolutely spectacular.

Incredibly deep and offers up an action RPG game that will surely please those gamers who enjoy playing games like Splinter Cell and Mass Effect. It is a visually stunning game that features a top notch audio package and a storyline that is engaging.

Despite many new entries into the fitness genre, EA Active remains above its competition. EA Active 2 brings a host of new exercises to the mix, great new motion accessories that are more accurate, a very welcome heart rate monitor and robust online integration. The only drawback I find is that versions on other consoles take better advantage of newer motion technologies.

Once you start this one you'll have a hard time putting it down - I found myself playing longer just to see the next weapon upgrade I'd get - it's like Christmas all over again!

The learning curve is straight up with no handholds or shortcuts; there is just no quick way to get going on the servers. However, once you get a hand on the gameplay, Tribes 2 will definitely be a title that will keep you coming back for more.

The sound effects are insane and have a very high level of detail.

That being said, if you are willing to stick with it, Wii Fit can make a great exercise tool for almost anyone.

Toy Story Mania provides a fun carnival-like experience filled with plenty of mini-games.

Despite starting to show signs of age, Professor Layton and The Last Specter is a tremendous value. For under $30 you get a story mode that easily lasts over 10 hours, fun mini-games, bonus content, weekly downloadable puzzles, and an all-new RPG that will keep you coming back to this one for a while.

Wipeout Pulse for the PSP is a great update to the long running racing series that is exclusive to Sony branded machines.

One thing is for certain, DJ Hero 2 is a step up from last year's DJ Hero game. Stronger visuals, better soundtrack, improved controls and an engaging single player experience all lends itself to a game that is a must buy for fans of the franchise.

The sheer amounts of gameplay modes both in single player and in wireless multiplayer make this one of the best DS releases in sometime.

Not only is Project Gotham Racing 4 a driving game with great mix of arcade and simulation styles of racing, but it is a next generation racing title that also looks great, sounds good and has a solid online component as well.

With a pretty impressive setlist, and a new way to play music games, this title is a breath of fresh air in what has been a sea of complacency for music games.

Mortal Kombat is a well-polished, fantastic entry into the fighting genre. If you are not into fighting games, this one won't change your mind, but if you do enjoy picking up the sticks and throwing down, this one is for you. Overall, this is a fantastic package that exceeds expectations, and is definitely worth checking out.

The story and graphics really impressed me to the point where I couldn't even sleep without dreaming about grids and battle tactics.

Overall, Madden NFL 10 is a nice little upgrade over last year’s game. That being said, "little" is the operative word.

From hunting submarines in a helicopter whilst utilising sonar buoys or making a tense approach into an all too shallow harbour to stick your periscope up and take a peek at what’s there, Dangerous Waters manages to simulate all the thrills and spills of modern naval warfare seamlessly.

Don’t let some minor quibbles prevent you from playing this very enjoyable chapter of the Zelda series as Nintendo effectively brings together several gameplay ideas together to form a great game overall.

Intelligent Systems has once again come up with a winner with Advance Wars: Days of Ruin. They have managed to refine the classic Advance Wars formula while making a gritty and darker game.

With good graphics, solid sound, and a great single player and multiplayer experience, it is easy to recommend that owners of the Wii pick up this reincarnated GoldenEye 007 game as you'd be missing one of the better FPS titles on the console and one of the better Wii games this holiday season.

Toy Box mode really made Toy Story 3: The Game top notch and without it this title would have been another cash grab to get kids to buy movie games.

It may not look as gorgeous as the PS3 version, but it is darn close, and you might miss playing with your friends, but before long you will find yourself replaying level after level trying to collect every last item.

SmackDown vs. Raw 2010 really does stand up to the saying “It’s Your World Now”. The whole package is a dream come true for WWE fans all around the world.

Pinball FX 2 takes the original Xbox LIVE game and makes is a much better experience. With great visuals, solid sound, and some fantastic gameplay, including the all important multiplayer component, how can you go wrong? Pinball fanatic or not, all those who play should enjoy what is offered here.

Madden NFL 09 is far from a perfect game but at the end of the day this one is the best versions in its 20 year run.

Control issues aside, the look and overall feel of this game is very solid.

More fun than a barrel of monkeys. Its only weakness is that we've pretty much seen all of this before.

All aspects from the presentation to the gameplay are packed full. Combine that level of detail with great gameplay, a ton of depth and wi-fi multiplayer options and, whether you're a fan of the Hot Shots series or new to it, you simply cannot go wrong, especially when it only costs $20.

Dance Central 2 stands as a significant upgrade over the previous Dance Central game for the Xbox 360 Kinect. The voice command technology, bigger set list, ability to import songs from the previous Dance Central, and enhanced visuals all make for a game that should be under many Christmas trees this holiday season.

With the changes and additions that have been made, DJ Hero 2 is definitely a better game than last year's edition.

It's been a while since I caught myself laughing out loud while playing a game. The game play is simple and really is an escape from some of the mind numbing titles out there.

Although Rage has some cookie cutter moments, and the fetch quests can feel a bit too much, the visuals, control, and sound make up for this in spades.

This time around the fat has been trimmed and the focus in Need for Speed: Shift is on delivering an intense, almost gritty racing experience. Shift strikes a good balance between being accessible and moving the game in a more realistic direction.

EA Sports has finally gotten into gear with FIFA Soccer 09 after some very good but flawed efforts in past.

A graphical masterpiece, with some gameplay flaws including the lack of a computer opponent in the multiplayer setup, as well as the inability to save your game during a mission.

Absolutely spellbinding graphics, the sound isn't spectacular, but gets by.

While the game conveys a good sense of realism, I can't help feel that it's somewhat linear. The tracks become too familiar until more are unlocked. Otherwise, Tokyo Extreme Racer is excellent.

Dead or Alive Dimensions hits the 3DS in style. With great graphics, solid sound, and some stellar gameplay, including local or internet Wi-Fi multiplayer play, one cannot go wrong with this newest fighting game for Nintendo's new handheld gaming console. Players of all levels will no doubt have a great time with this game.

The extensive Pokedex and library reference guide are almost worth the price of admission alone. Add to that, the capability of the Transfer Pak to access Pokemon from the Game Boy versions and things really begin looking up.

With better than arcade graphics, an incredible frame rate, stellar multiplayer modes and an online mode, it is hard to pass up this title. Yes, the control is a little less than desired, but you can compensate for this.

Actually outshines its arcade brother in terms of gameplay, graphics and last ability.

The multiplayer game, as with other 2K sports tittles, is pretty much a smooth and lag free experience online.

It is a game that is definitely the perfect game for any gamer in the family, from the hardcore to the most casual.

Priced at $39.99, this collection should have a proud spot in any gamers PS3 collection. The HD doesn't make these games look brand new, but these timeless classics are aesthetically pleasing no matter what year it is.

With such a huge open world, tons of cars and events plus future downloadable content, the longevity of Test Drive Unlimited is quite high.

A significant leap from last years version.

For Rally racing fans, this is a must have. For other racing fans it is a great product to introduce you to the adrenaline pumped world of rally car racing.

At the end of the day there is enough depth to NHL 11 keep hockey lovers happy for another year.

Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock is the first time that the franchise has made it to a Nintendo console, and it does so with a bang.

Even if you are not a racing game fan, Split/Second offers up so much fun from the get-go you just can't go wrong picking this title up.

The game's visuals jump off the screen with incredible colour and the anime inspired characters seem at home on Sony's handheld.

It is like "Diplomacy," "Privateer," and "Space Combat" merged into one. The thrill will linger for a long time as the options seem endless.

Getting by the learning curve will yield fantastic results as the game is quite deep, especially in the management of players and teams.

If you are a baseball fan and own a PSP you need to give your head a shake if you haven’t picked this one up yet.

I can't help but think if Rocksmith had come out years ago before any of the other music/rhythm games that use a virtual guitar it would probably be the premier guitar based video game. That being said, Rocksmith is quite a different game and can stand alone in its own genre, as there is nothing available on the market that competes with it. Ubisoft has hit the nail on the head with this innovative title.

DiRT is a great game and stands as arguably the best racer on the PS3 to date.

NCAA Football 09 certainly lived up to my expectations and is a significant leap from last year's version.

Overall, Rainbow Six: Vegas is pretty much a must buy tactical shooter for PS3 owners.

For those looking for a game with an immersive and riveting storyline, many gripping intense moments, a slick array of original weaponry, and some terrific nightmarish shooter sequences, then Metro 2033 is right up your alley.
