Ping Pong Trick Shot only wins points because it manages to function as an application. Beyond that, the gameplay is just an exhausted mini-game that doesn't even function well most of the time. The list of improvements needed to bring this to a passable application are numerous, suffice it to say, it would be advised to pass this one up.

It may not be the type of game nearly all Metroid fans desperately want, and it may go ignored due to that, but Metroid Prime: Federation Force is a great example of not only how to make FPS work on the 3DS, but how to successfully do co-operative mission-based multiplayer.

Sort of a weird game in that it is both undeniably great and a little bit disappointing at the same time. It is a poor spot to jump into for newbies and yet returning veterans might be a disappointed by how much the game repeats itself.

It is long and it moves slowly with its story, with lots of things to see and do on the side, and levelling up being very slow; however, it never gets boring and manages to hook players with a loveable story and characters served masterfully through witty dialogue, good visuals (if not technically very impressive), and a fantastic soundtrack by maestro Sugiyama-san.

Unholy Heights, though well-crafted and humorous, is far from perfect. The combination of the two genres may seem like a fantastic idea on paper (and it does indeed lead to some enjoyable moments of gameplay), but there's far too much empty space for extended play sessions to be consistently fun. That said, it fills a hole left open for two of the most starved genres on the eShop, and fans of either tower defence or simulation could do far worse than to spend a few hours in the devil's shoes.

The all-important battle system in Adventure Labyrinth Story is solid, but features such as a pointless story taint the game and leave it marred in mediocracy. Repeating the same dungeon over and over can feel a bit stale, although the randomised items and layout definitely help.

Puzzle Labyrinth's only redeeming aspect is its idea of combining genres. The presentation is dull, and the direction is too disjointed and arbitrary, which makes the experience fade quickly into a frustrating and unattractive one.

Collateral Thinking doesn't suffer from a lack of variety so much as it suffers from its excess.

Ninja Strike: Dangerous Dash is little more than an overpriced iOS game. In fact, that's precisely what it is. Low quality visuals are masterfully blended together with low quality sound design to deliver a package that can't seem to even reach the glories of mediocrity. There are countless endless runners on the Wii U eShop, and Ninja Strike simply doesn't offer anything to make it worth purchasing.

However minor the various issues may seem, LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens is a worthy addition to the LEGO Star Wars videogame franchise.

The combat and design can be quite niche and challenging to newcomers. That being said, though, for fans of the series, this is a superb addition. It may not have much of a narrative, but the focus on gameplay and new additions make this a fantastic amalgamation worthy of its price-tag.

There's simply no appeal to the MS Paint drawn world that's been created; it's a boring and thoughtless mini-disaster that should just be ignored and forgotten.

While it fails to capitalise fully on its core ideas, it still works exceptionally well as a quick game to load up when there are a few minutes to spare, letting you blast away, exploring the latest new zombie-killing method before giving it a rest again for a while.

What an absolute joy to play through. With Kirby: Planet Robobot, Nintendo and HAL have delivered not only a standard Kirby platform outing for Nintendo 3DS that matches the usual high quality levels found throughout the series, but have managed to bring many new elements into the mix to ensure that this is the freshest Kirby to date, merging clever ideas from other genre stable-mates with the traditional qualities everyone knows and loves.

A fun game with plenty of reasons to replay but ultimately one that does little to make it feel different to the legions of tower defense already on the market. Frustratingly it's more fun playing this on the gamepad, and it feels like it would be much better on 3DS. Worth playing for the tower defense aficionados out there, but it would probably be better to play the PS Vita version.

Family Fishing is, simply put, empty fun. Nothing too challenging, and a somewhat random combat system, make an experience that's as easy to pick up as it is to forget. While it may strike the nerve of someone who wants a lite-RPG action fishing experience, it's really best at giving players a quick sense of gratification, before it becomes obvious they really didn't do anything.
