There are some clever ideas thrown in that try to improve on the original game's plot, along with a handful of entertaining characters in amongst the obnoxious ones, as well as great use of 3D, but End Layer should be played for its battle and job systems first and foremost, provided the original title was enjoyed.

It certainly isn't for everyone, being overall very overwhelming, but with enough patience and mastery, Mutant Mudds Super Challenge quickly becomes an addictive pick-up-and-play experience. With enough content and replay value to last a solid dozen hours, Max's latest adventure deserves a spot in any 3DS library.

Moco Moco Friends is neither bad, nor is it good. For fans utterly desperate for a monster game that isn't Pokémon, it could suffice.

Without a doubt, Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam Bros. is just as solid an RPG adventure as its predecessors, avoiding the pit that Partners in Time fell into with its multi-character approach.

While the foundational elements are all here, ultimately, there are bound to be JRPGs that are more worth your time.

This is easily the best LEGO title released so far, and also easily the best Marvel game produced, full stop.

Whether alone or with friends, Explorers is a worthy investment for those looking to scratch that RPG itch.

There's definitely fun to be had here, but there are a few issues holding this former mobile title back from being really great.

Despite the occasional clunkiness in battles, there is a well-developed battle system lurking beneath the surface that really just needed a bit more polish. Unfortunately, there's a lot of crippling little details between the battles, systems, and presentation that add up to a very lukewarm start for the series outside of Japan.

It's one of the best 2D platformers currently on the market and a fantastic example of an indie hit.

Yo-Kai Watch is definitely an all-ages RPG. Everything from the dialogue to the battle system feels very light-hearted, and that's definitely not a bad thing.

It tries to set itself up for a grand adventure, but comes across as plodding and aggravating for the first several hours. While not an absolute deal breaker, it does make for a hard sell for those who aren't totally committed to the series.

Star Wars Pinball: the Heroes Within is the best pack of DLC tables released so far. It features possibly the best tables yet in the Star Wars Pinball series, including some of the most stunningly looking ones too, but also offering more content for the same price than the previously released Balance of the Force pack.

Rodea the Sky Soldier proved it could soar on the Wii; it is just a shame that it will be doomed to obscurity.

Nintendo Badge Arcade is the bare minimum of what could be sold as a game. It is a watered down digital crane game at the price of a full-sized one with physical prizes.
