Perhaps one day Fatal Frame will be in better hands, but for now Maiden of Black Water ranks as one of the better horror games to come out in a long time.- Cubed3

LEGO Dimensions is filled with promise, but the paywalls and the requirement to regularly interact in-game massively impact upon the final product.- Cubed3

Some issues, such as the frame rate and the environmental hazard glitch, could, perhaps, be resolved with a patch. However, the reliance on trial-and-error design and the harsh spikes in difficulty found in the last third of the game are likely to be too trying for most gamers.- Cubed3

Chronus Arc may not be anywhere near as desirable as some of the other latest RPG releases, but for the price, it still manages to deliver a somewhat enjoyable traditional and recognisable Japanese role-playing experience.- Cubed3

It might be a little on the short end of the spectrum for the price, but the replayability offered compensates for the fact that it is not a terribly long game.- Cubed3

Chibi-Robo! Zip Lash is not the best Chibi-Robo - it is not even that great of a 2D side-scroller or platformer, either.- Cubed3

The Quiet Collection had the potential to be a great title, but a number of questionable design choices steer it away from being an essential purchase.- Cubed3

Playing through the same levels over and over again to the same grating music can only stay tolerable for so long.- Cubed3

Quirky indie puzzle games these days seem to be a dime a dozen, and every Humble Bundle seems to come with eight new ones for the price of a nickel and two buttons.- Cubed3

Samurai Defender is not worth buying, especially not on the 3DS where it has a $3.99 price tag. Perhaps for 99 cents (or nothing at all, for that matter) it could actually be a worthwhile, yet tedious, distraction.- Cubed3

Great mechanics, great graphics, good music, and a solid story don’t outweigh the steep difficulty and reliance on level-grinding.- Cubed3

With some decent level design and a good few challenging tasks at hand, Bike Rider DX2: Galaxy is still a moderately fun way to kill a few spare minutes.- Cubed3

On the whole, it's fair to say that most spin-offs are doomed to live in the shadow of their more popular source materials. Even so, Happy Home Designer did have the potential to stand on its own two legs - the sole ingredient needed to confirm that fact being the element of fun, which it sadly lacks.- Cubed3

Gotcha Racing is certainly worth considering, perhaps as a light time waster to some, but more appropriately as a way to invest a lot of time in building the perfect car to rise through the ranks.- Cubed3

What Itagaki and his team have created isn't exactly a masterpiece, but it does showcase some innovative ideas, and that's why anyone who possesses interest in it shouldn't hesitate to pick it up.- Cubed3

At a very basic level, the concept of My Zoo Vet Practice 3D is fine, but not enough thought has been put into how to extend the concept into an enjoyable game.- Cubed3

Between the stupid and inconsistent design, absurdly short amount of content, and levels that end up frustrating for all the wrong reasons, this is not worth any degree of money at all.- Cubed3

Underneath it all is a rhythm game that may not be as challenging as some of its famous console counterparts, but the ability to take it anywhere and play hassle-free more than makes up for this, and the game can get challenging in its own right—although this, like almost everything else in here, is entirely up to the player.- Cubed3

For all its drawbacks in terms of relying on the gamer to actually put in the effort to enjoy the experience, Super Mario Maker is a fresh approach to the old 'RPG Maker' mould, taking the key elements that any 'build-a-game' title requires and then making sure that there are sufficient in-built goodies to give those less inclined to while away the hours making new content a sense of value for money.- Cubed3

Senran Kagura 2: Deep Crimson is a very competent brawler, with numerous refinements over its predecessor and a lot more content, making it the better game overall, by far.- Cubed3

It doesn't do much wrong: it controls well, the music is nice enough, the visuals, while not impressive, do look clean. It gets the action going, yet it fails to capture the attention because it's too repetitive and not engaging enough.- Cubed3

For those who love adventure games with a splash of action and platforming, it is definitely worth checking out. Likewise, fans of the original will be pleased to know that, other than the visuals getting an upgrade, the game itself remains identical to that of the PS2 version.- Cubed3
