7 Days To Die is a retail release of an alpha build of an Early Access game, and a downright scummy thing for Telltale to market as a finished product.

Rhythm Heaven Megamix is a bright, colourful collection of zany rhythm-based minigames for the 3DS that is easily recommendable to fans of the genre and newcomers to the series.

A painfully bland story and dull characters don’t stop Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE from being a novel and fun role-playing experience for fans of the genre.

K Station is an intriguing sci-fi mystery that uses archaic mechanics to say something important about the fickleness of human memory.

Zero Time Dilemma is a satisfying conclusion to the Zero Escape series, but I feel it’s missing a final challenge room to test my wits.

While Star Ocean: Integrity and Faithlessness pulls together a strong story and great gameplay, it's plauged by technical issues.

Its main saving grace is a co-op mode (both local and online, which is a rarity in indie games like this) that significantly improves the pacing of the game. Having multiple allies in tandem with extra firepower and different abilities mixes things up and gives you a better response to what the game throws at you, but as usual, co-op is certainly a crutch for what should be a better solo experience.

A clever take on two worn genres, Wasted is a funny and addictive genre hybrid that has scores of content at a low price point.

This boring and bland game isn't the spiritual sequel to Mega Man we were hoping for.

VA-11 Hall-A is a funny, thought-provoking, and sometimes tragic work of art, with truly original gameplay and a beautiful aesthetic unlike anything else on the market.

Overall, Blood and Wine is a worthy addition to the Witcher 3 experience. While it may not be perfect, it provides enough wonder, excitement, and adventure to keep the player invested.

I had a blast with this game, and it might challenge for my favourite in the series. It’s crazy, it’s fun, it’s satisfying, and it’s badass. I am shocked at how much fun I had with Kirby: Planet Robobot.

Much like Vermintide itself, it may not be groundbreaking in any one way, but it’s reliably and consistently fun, and still beautifully immersive in that Warhammer sort of way.

While Dungeons 2 doesn’t offer anything groundbreaking in the world of RTS games, managing two different gameplay areas can be both challenging and fun.. It plays similarly to classics like Dungeon Keeper, and some of its forced humour and boring plot could definitely use a bit of work. But those looking for an old-school experience with some modern changes, look no further.

Mirror’s Edge Catalyst represents a compromised vision. It’s one part exhilarating first-person platformer, one part bland open-world title. In a year crowded with great releases, not to mention last year’s Dying Light representing a much better open-world parkour experience, that’s a vision many people won’t want to put their money on the line for.

Afterbirth is basically a love letter to the base game, introducing items and mechanics that perfectly entwine themselves with the main game to improve and compliment the already unforgettable experience that is The Binding of Isaac. If you liked Rebirth, you’d be doing yourself a major disservice by not treating yourself to Afterbirth.
