I had a great, if fleeting, experience with Anno 2205, but I’ve now solved the equation in its entirety, and without an editor or custom scenarios (or even pre-determined ones), the game just doesn’t have any real staying power.

Though Rise of the Tomb Raider wastes little time in getting Lara into the thick of a brand new adventure, it’s still burdened by much of its predecessor’s baggage.

By ditching previous entries' clumsy attempts at innovation, Super Mario Party reminds us how fun it can be to crowd around a TV and roll dice with the Mushroom Kingdom crew.

While exploring the many intricacies can be downright frustrating, and the political game can get difficult, Urban Empire is a game unlike any other in its genre. I’ve never played a sim that actually follows the rules of the democracy we have today. That alone makes it a unique enough title to at least try out. I just wish there was a little extra polish or at least a more thorough explanation on how the smaller intricacies in the game work.

Daemon X Machina is a great mech action game that’s comparable in quality to the best entries in the franchise it’s heavily inspired by.

Ravenlok isn't deep or lengthy, but it's a brief, dreamy foray into the wonders of voxels. It may not last long, but it's a looking glass worth going through.

Despite some difficult to ignore flaws, Gamers who spent any part of their childhood in the eighties or for one reason or another harbor a fascination for that era of entertainment have plenty of reason to check out MythForce.

Total War: PHARAOH will be another must-play for fans of the series or those who can’t get enough of Ancient Egypt, but hopefully you have a top-notch PC, because at least for now, the game chugs pretty badly, crashes are frequent, and load times are atrocious.

Being fully immersed in a Little Nightmares space works great. The atmosphere does that heavy lifting, and some of the freakier drawn-out moments really stuck with me. It just feels like it stops short of doing something more with the idea.

Exclusive to the PlayStation 5 version of the game, Control Ultimate Editon features Activity Card integration, a natural fit for an expansive, Metroidvania-style game such as Control, making it great for those wanting to easily track and manage some of the side quests present in the game. Another exclusive feature reserved for PlayStation 5 owner’s of the game is its excellent use of the Dualsense controller.

Vampire: The Masquerade-Justice Is an interesting VR RPG. While its story isn’t one that grabbed me, the gameplay more than made up for it with its bloody skills and stealth-based mechanics.

Swords of Legends Online takes your standard MMO and turns it into a visually stunning journey. Though levelling is tedious and there is a steep learning curve, the endgame in SOLO is engaging, and it will remain a staple in my MMO rotation.

Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed is a fun experience for friends packed with nostalgia in the form of iconic characters and imagery and its fair share of easter eggs, but there is concern that love for the game could flame out faster than if you crossed the streams. If you are a fan of the franchise, though, it brings just enough joy to make it worth the price tag no matter what.

Fairy Tail 2 is a highly polished, cel-shaded action-JRPG that faithfully adapts the final dramatic arc of the Fairy Tail franchise into video game form, but its severe lack of onboarding for newcomers risks alienating a much larger potential audience.
