The developers made an attempt to spice up the gameplay, but their victory is not complete, as there’s a lot of meaningless side activities in Gravity Rush 2. [03/2017, p.56]

Memoranda’s art style is wonderful but the game has huge problems with communicating what and why you should be doing. Most of the time I simply didn’t know where I should go and who I should talk to. [03/2017, p.54]

I’m almost completely immune to horror games – they just don’t scare me. From time to time an exception from this rule happens and Detention is one of those exceptions. First half of the game expertly blends heavy, unsettling atmosphere with occasional jump scares and it’s a shame that the second half can’t keep up. If you enjoy being scared and don’t mind an excessively convoluted story with a moderately satisfying ending, give Detention a try. [03/2017, p.53]

Yakuza 0 is a diamond that no gamer should ignore irrespective of whether they’re drawn to Japanese games or not. Grand Theft Auto has a much larger budget, but Yakuza has a much bigger heart. [03/2017, p.50]

Sanctus Reach does not offer scale or presentation comparable to Total War series, but it has the charm of an old school turn-based strategy game and seems to be a great basis for future Warhammer 40,000 titles. [03/2017, p.46]

Six hours of a good survival game and three hours of a mediocre action game. In its better part it’s the most terrifying title in the series since 2002 (RE1 remake), it never makes you feel completely safe and proves that triple AAA survival horrors are still relevant today. [03/2017, p.40]

It does show that Steep is a game born of passion in a studio located at the feet of Alps, so it is easier to turn a blind eye to some of its flaws, like faulty collision detection. It’s not a perfect game, it will not have a following as strong as SSX 3 did, but if you’re looking for a game that will let you hit the slopes, there’s a chance you’ll be returning to Steep often. The Lion’s Song resembles brilliant Kentucky Route Zero more than traditional adventure games, which means that you rather soak in the experience than solve puzzles. The problem is that after having spent a couple of hours with the available two episodes I still can’t predict whether The Lion’s Song will blossom into something really good or just barely decent. Maize is more memorable than your usual Dear Esther clone. I imagine the developers thinking: “We’re unable to make something outstanding with our budget, so let’s at least make something funny”. And they did. [02/2017, p.48]

Despite the monotony of procedurally generated environments and repetitiveness that with time creeps into combat, it would be absurd not to try Let It Die. It might be free, but it’s much more worthwhile than many indie games you have to pay for. [02/2017, p.46]

The game’s title says a lot about its difficulty level. It is unfair and painful at times, but if you’re stubborn enough, Slain will captivate you and give you a lot of satisfaction despite its far-reaching simplicity and repetitiveness that goes with it. [02/2017, p.45]

The concept of constant switching between two, three or even four simultaneous races is great. It’s not a full blooded racing game, but it’s arcade driving model is cool and if you’re looking for something fresh, give it a try. [02/2017, p.45]

The developers from Gaming Corps don’t even try to hide the fact that they are shamelessly copying from Telltale. What’s more, The Descendant is a highly imperfect counterfeit – poorly written, not engaging, sometimes unintentionally funny and technically flawed. [02/2017, p.43]

Some quite clever puzzles, a couple of collaborating characters and constant changes of scenery are enough to elevate Yesterday Origins above mediocrity. It’s a shame that its story is subpar and characters are rather shallow. [02/2017, p.42]

Bethesda Pinball is a great package as three tables are completely different from each other in terms of atmosphere, gameplay design and appearance. The important part is that they don’t just capitalize on sentiment but are great on their own merits. [02/2017, p.40]

Dead Rising 4 has some obvious flaws, like a shallow story, poorly executed co-op and the difficulty level that is nonexistent for anyone who has a tiniest bit of gaming experience, but I honestly enjoyed killing almost 15.000 zombies throughout the campaign. [02/2017, p.26]
