Ravenous Devils is atmospheric and running and expanding your business is surprisingly addictive (although sometimes the repetitive, hectic gameplay might be overwhelming). I enjoyed the very gory animations and appreciated the fact that the story ends after a couple of hours, so the game doesn’t get a chance to become boring.

While Eiyuden Chronicle: Rising is a decent introduction to the world of Eiyuden Chronicle, it fails to use its full potential. More complex combat and varied side quests would have made it a much better experience.

Citizen Sleeper – an enjoyable journey into a mind trapped in a stolen artificial body – is a game where the story is more important than gameplay mechanics and the questions that arise along the way are more important than answers. This narrative game that creatively combines the randomness of dice with some survival and management mechanics does not fully deserve to be called a „Disco Elysium in space”, but the association is basically correct.

Silt is not groundbreaking, but you won’t regret spending 3-5 hours on this stunningly beautiful, somewhat oneiric puzzle platformer, especially if you enjoyed Limbo and David Lynch movies.

On a basic level Diablo Immortal is an enjoyable game that channels Diablo II and III. Sadly, aggressive microtransactions you encounter every step of the way, a rift between those who pay and those who don’t, and mechanics designed to slow down your progress ultimately make it not much more than a perfidious cash grab.

Seemingly, it’s more of what we’ve already seen from Supermassive Games: a group of characters, a branching storyline, numerous QTE’s and tons of important decisions to make. However, the devil’s in the details – very interesting narrative style, the pace of the game and it’s surprising story make The Quarry Supermassive’s greatest achievement to date.

On the one hand I know a couple of better shooters that throw pixels the size of a bouillon cubes at you. On the other hand I had tons of fun with Brain Damaged thanks to its fast, challenging gameplay and tons of pop culture references. Plus, if I ever decide to put together a list of the most twisted game levels, some of new Postal’s maps are sure to be on it.

Out There: Oceans of Time tries to be something bordering on an RPG and a space survival game, but its roguelike roots do not work well in this new formula. Additionally, the game’s infantile story and ugly graphics are not doing it any favors.

Cat Café Manager is a casual tycoon where you run and expand, well, a cat café, which means keeping both the cats and the customers happy. The gameplay is simple and repetitive, but nonetheless engaging, however the developers should have refined aspects related to economy and staff management.

Nintendo Switch Sports is a modern retelling of the Wii classic. Despite somewhat less precise motion controls, it’s about as fun as its predecessor, mostly thanks to the emphasis on online play.

Just like Sniper Elite 4 before it, the latest addition to the series takes the crown of the best game for those who prefer to employ stealth and kill from a distance rather than engage in direct firefights. Its X-Ray kill cam is still loads of fun while impressively large, detailed maps offer lots of freedom and many additional challenges, so it’s a shame that uninteresting story, poor AI and flawed physics hold it back.

Vampire: The Masquerade – Swansong perfectly reflects the atmosphere of a tabletop RPG session set in the World of Darkness. Sadly, graphics and animations sometimes spoil the impression, certain gameplay mechanics are hard to master and I couldn’t complete some quests because of the bugs. It’s a shame, because the writers and the voice actors did a commendable job.

Daemonhunters is basically XCOM in Warhammer’s clothing. While it has little in common with the original Chaos Gate, it will measure up to the expectations of most fans of turn-based tactics games.

Although it might look like a Dead Space’s relative, Dolmen is more of a low-budget mix of Returnal and The Surge. Everything it does decently, it borrowed from other games with very little original input. Dolmen is simply late to the party and with competition so strong and numerous, seems unnecessary. I can recommend it only to the most famished soulslike fans if they can get it at a significantly reduced price.

Kao the Kangaroo is a solid reboot, but not in the league of Crash Bandicoot. The game is pretty, runs smoothly, offers great level design and fun combat system, and overall has a strong base, but also contains many elements that fail to reach the level we expect from a platformer today.

Cyphers Game deals with a truly fascinating topic, but unfortunately doesn’t do it justice. While there is undoubtedly some talent behind the game, and some clever ideas as well, ultimately it doesn't deliver due to clumsiness of stealth mechanics and the lack of content, which makes it incredibly short.

King Arthur: Knight’s Tale is a dark fantasy RPG that offers an interesting take on Arthurian legend and a turn-based combat system that will appeal to XCOM fans. Engaging story, enjoyable battles and great atmosphere ensure at least 25 hours of fun.

Who’s Lila is a very unique point’n’click hybrid full of secrets. At first glance its most interesting feature seems to be the ability to control the protagonist’s facial expressions but what really plays first fiddle is the nonlinear story leading to over a dozen endings.

The Stanley Parable once again charmed me with its narrative and its constant toying with the player. There’s not much game in it but despite that (or maybe because of that) it says a lot about other games and gamers. It’s a brilliant, one-of-a-kind title, now available in a richer, longer version.

Chinatown Detective Agency accurately shows that a detective’s work consists mainly of research but the developers forgot that puzzles alone, even fresh and creative, are not enough. The game could use a better designed world and a more interesting story that doesn’t fizzle out after a decent beginning.

Trek to Yomi is a marvel that uses its black and white art style, wonderfully designed environments, and Japanese setting to convey the spirit of samurai tales better than many games employing color and full 3D. The game would be perfect if it had better combat animations.

A groundbreaking voxel-based engine makes demolition more fun than one could imagine. But it’s the amazing amount of mods (maps, tools of destructions, gameplay changes) that turns Teardown into an absolute blast for everyone who enjoys breaking stuff.

eFootball 2022 in its latest version (1.0) shows some occasional glimmers of former PES glory, but it is still painfully far from being a full-fledged game, both in terms of features and gameplay, which is ruined by sluggishness, weak AI, poor animations and questionable physics.

Triangle Strategy’s long (maybe too long), nonlinear story should appeal to tactical RPG aficionados but even if it doesn’t, they will be completely absorbed in one of the best tactical combat systems ever created. Every fan of the genre simply must play this game, while the rest should at least consider giving it a chance.

Sadly, it’s not the “so bad it’s actually fun” case. Postal 4: No Regerts is a monstrosity sloppily stitched together from terrible jokes and numerous bugs. The game was testing my patience every step of the way and I could almost hear it scream in my face: “The past is now, old man! Thanks for your money, loser!”.

B.I.O.T.A. is an old school metroidvania heavily inspired by James Cameron’s “Aliens”. It is not groundbreaking, but the gameplay is really varied and the art style will surely appeal to retro games maniacs. However, despite its retro look B.I.O.T.A. is very forgiving, which might not be an advantage to everyone – personally, I wish it was more challenging.

Janitor Bleeds is a retro-style survival horror that has you exploring a haunted abandoned arcade and features a game within a game as its key element. The developers did pretty well to achieve the sense of danger without resorting to jump scares, but as a whole Janitor Bleeds is neither very scary nor easy to recommend.
