How do you spend your last hours alive if you can’t visit your loved ones? How do you talk to someone who’s passing away and nothing can change that? Necrobarista is not really a game (you don’t get to make any decisions), but its simple, powerful story about death touched me to tears. [10/2020, p.70]

Do you know how it feels to experience a sequel to a game you played (and loved!) 26 years ago on your Amiga? Do you know how it feels to realize that it was worth the absurd wait? I do now. Beyond the Steel Sky is not perfect but it reminded me why I used to enjoy adventure games so much back in the day. [10/2020, p.66]

Sixty funny characters crammed together on a small area, competing with each other, while avoiding various traps and causing all sorts of unpredictable, amusing situations – what’s not to like here? I had tons of fun with the PC version of Horizon Zero Dawn. I appreciated the story, enjoyed exploring the vast, remarkable world crafted masterfully out of extremely diverse elements, and found defeating the largest mechanical beasts to be deeply satisfying every single time. Additionally, the Complete Edition features The Frozen Wilds expansion, which is not only large, but also visually stunning. [10/2020, p.56]

The joy of watching this wild tangle of pixel art tentacles, organs, and flesh (and listening to the sounds of humans being devoured) alone makes this game worthwhile. If, just like me, you always root for the bad guy, Carrion’s gameplay can be immensely satisfying. [10/2020, p.54]

Destroy All Humans! was rebuilt from scratch, but when it comes to the gameplay experience, it is identical to the 15-year-old original game. As a result, the story campaign feels outdated and gets stale after some time even despite the large arsenal of skills and weapons. It still is a fun game though and thanks to new visuals exploring the remade maps is a pleasure. [10/2020, p.52]

I really wanted to like P.A.M.E.L.A, so I was willing to overlook its minor flaws. The voice acting is awful, the combat bored me, but I did enjoy crafting, hacking, and exploring beautiful Eden. What I couldn’t ignore though, was the game’s performance. Not only did P.A.M.E.L.A. run frustratingly poorly, but its engine also clogged up every ca. 40 minutes (regardless of PC specs) and the only thing I could do to make the game playable again was restart it. I approached Death Stranding twice. I spent a couple of hours with the PS4 edition and was fascinated with it. I kinda wish I stopped at that and let the game remain a mystery to me rather than complete it later on PC and be disappointed. There are moments when Death Stranding eludes the traditional 1-10 rating system. There are moments when it sets new standards and becomes a truly special experience. But those are just moments scattered throughout tedious gameplay. Still, it is in my opinion one of those games you simply need to play. [10/2020, p.44]

It’s quite interesting and challenging the first time you play it but each subsequent playthrough quickly gets repetitive. Well written but not well enough to recommend. [04/2020, p.55]

While it starts exceptionally strong, towards the end the game gets boring and the finale seems as creative as something I myself could have written in ten minutes. [04/2020, p.52]

Apart from lots and lots of missteps and bugs I can see the developers’ passion and a whole lot of hard work poured into the game. [04/2020, p.48]

Teenage me probably would have spent all of his free time in the editor as he has years ago in The Games Factory. It’s a shame that such magnificent program, that could have easily conquered the world of PC editors, is locked to the PS4 environment. [04/2020, p.42]
