All in all the game brings a few new things to the old table and gives it a slightly fresher look and appeal, like clearing out a slightly messy cupboard.

I have to praise the Bloober team for their execution and real understanding of gamer psychology on a second play of a horror game. After that there’s no reason to play again outside of looking for collectables. It’s argued that video games are a medium of art, if that is the case then this is one of the masterpieces you need in your collection.

A great addition to what is already one of the stand out titles of this generation, and will be no doubt lauded as a modern classic for years to come.

Anna’s Quest is a game that has a unique story that gets more complicated as the game goes on, a strong heroine, fun to play, challenging, slightly dark but at the same time has a lot of humor and heart.

It might not have the depth to match Street Fighter or Tekken, but there is still plenty here for both casual and hardcore fans of the genre to enjoy.

I loved Type:Rider and I’m not sure if the reason for this is my utter nerdiness when it comes to learning about the English language. However, no matter your interest in learning about fonts, this is a fun and peaceful game that is great for sitting back and relaxing while still playing your PS4. Type:Rider is one of the best puzzle games I’ve played this year and I can’t wait to get back to it.

Despite these gripes, Tales from the Borderlands – Episode 5: The Vault of the Traveler gloriously wraps up one of Telltale’s best stories.

It is perhaps the best use of the Warhammer license that I’ve ever seen, easily rivalling the Dawn of War series (which is thankfully different enough that I don’t need to decide which is better or worse) and perhaps delivering a game that is dangerously capable of pleasing both Total War and Warhammer fans alike, because of how well it handles the strengths and weaknesses of each.

The Division is a visual feast. From the dynamic lighting to the realistic environments, taking it all in can be breathtaking at times.

I wouldn’t have expected that I would enjoy this game quite as much as I did, but I have to say, it was probably one of the best games of it’s type that I’ve ever played, not to mention that it’s absolute proof that with a little bit of TLC, even a fairly old game can be re done and still manage to look, feel and play better than a lot of recent games.

With a variety of options to make the game more interesting, including the opportunity to change your character to pose new challenges; a daily challenge and the option to use different weapons and armour, this game really has that replayable factor we look for nowadays.

What some may see as archaic, dated design, I personally see as charming and refreshing. The Quest strives to plough its own unique furrow and in an ocean of charmless copycat clones, The Quest stands out as a pretty unique throwback to the old school RPG days of yore; it’s a game very much comfortable in its own orcish skin. Though, some may be perturbed by The Quest‘s old fashioned exterior, there is a deep, addictive and rewarding adventure to embark upon if given the chance.

Pony Island is a fascinating game that really toys with player expectations and consistently surprises and amazes. A game like this, especially in this day and age, is as rare as finding a dodo’s egg – it’s a genuine treasure. Despite its woolly messaging and slightly repetitive gameplay mechanics Pony Island is a truly unique experience like no other.

For $15, providing hours of intriguing, choice-driven, replay-able, and overall curious game play makes The Curious Expedition a fun and worthwhile purchase for anyone with a thirst for exploration. I couldn’t find anything that took away from my quest for fame and fortune, save for the occasional repeated point of interest or animal encounter.

With Event[0]’s revolutionary AI and beautiful graphics, I would definitely recommend this game. It’s an immersive story experience with a witty companion that will take you on a journey of emotions. The subtle music and atmospheric tendencies create an environment that is both daunting and welcoming, apart from one song that will stick with you through out the game.

NHL 16 is probably the most inclusive NHL game to date. The on ice trainer will help new comers in a way that NHL has never done before, even someone like me who has been playing the game for a number of years seems to have improved, breaking bad habits like favoring the glove side or poor cycling of the puck in the offensive zone.

The Chronicles of Teddy is an absolutely fantastic game despite these flaws. I loved every moment of the charming, musical platformer. Each facet of the game, even if its lifted from another genre, come together to create what is easily one of the most unique Indie games available for the PlayStation 4. You owe it to yourself to at least give this game a good try.

The controls are simple fluid which makes using special abilities during tough situations fairly easy and smooth. Jotun may not be perfect, but it is definitely unique and, much like Thora herself, can hold its own too much bigger titles.
