It manages to encompass some of my favourite movies with one of my most beloved genres. Not only does it do it well but it also adds a few new interesting features which I look forward to seeing in any future titles they do.

Shantae: Risky’s Revenge Director’s Cut is the best version of an already great game.

The whole thing is very ‘Milkstone’ – a polished, well presented indie title which looks good and plays great, even as it wears its inspirations on its sleeve.

As a board game conversion then, Twilight Struggle succeeds in delivering a faithful, relatively slick digital experience wrapped up in a mostly pleasing user interface.

The dungeons are undoubtedly bland and, by genre standards, there is no getting around the fact that, Ray Gigant is relatively easy, but if you’re looking for a more story driven adventure, one with great characters and fantastic production values, you won’t go far wrong with, Experience Inc.’s unique and largely successful coming together of visual novel and dungeon crawler.

Naysayers voice that Lego is going stale. Going by TFA this is far from the truth as with shooting, climbing, running and space flight mechanics all present, the series seems only on the ascend.

People, you need this game. I cannot tell you enough, it is a game that is worthy of your time. It is one of those games you feel envelope you, suck you in and hold you close. It will stick with you long after the roll of the credits; Alone With You truly is a special game.

Without being too vague and wishy-washy, this is a good game that is purely good because it doesn’t throw ton’s of information at you, it doesn’t overwhelm you with options and situations.

The great art of Project Highrise is that you can foresee the needs of the people and their impact on your overall project. It’s great little sim game, and well worth picking up.

For a game with such immersive storytelling and decision-making, I thought it could perhaps have benefited from a little more background music to add to the sense of grand adventure. Maybe even a little bit of noise from the surrounding environment – such as the sounds of a busy market town or the chirping of crickets in the undergrowth at night. In fact I was quite surprised that this kind of embellishment was left out of the game, as it would have been a nice touch for a heightened sense of immersion.

This game is interesting, challenging and about everything you can expect from a puzzle game. The puzzles are genuinely difficult, and for those puzzles too difficult then you can resort to hints.

If you want fast paced action heavy moments, this isn’t for you. What the game does offer is mystery, intrigue and beautiful design. The game isn’t very long, but doesn’t need to be anything more as it feels compact, interesting and felt like a movie.

It would have been nice to have had a multiplayer but I won’t hold that against the game. Ultimately, Invisible, Inc. Console Edition is as challenging as you want it to be.

A great game. It falls short of excellence by a whisper, but as the developers have put out four major updates for free on Steam over the past year, I have high hopes for the future. It’s a labour of love, for sure, and one which I’m confident will continue to be updated in the future.

Mushroom 11 is a quality physics-puzzle-platformer. While 15$ may be a bit steep for a game is at most 5-6hrs long, the gameplay is unique, the levels varied, and there is replay value to be had in the form of collectibles. What’s more, the audiovisual design makes for such an excellent experience that you might not notice.

Teslapunk is a delightful sci-fi vertically scrolling shooter. It captures great addictive gameplay with the guilty pleasure cheesiness of 80s space adventures that can’t be denied. Lasers erupt and death rays fly, and so will the time with Teslapunk.

Ultimately, Broforce is a statement that games don’t have to be ultra-complicated or have award-winning stories in order to be enjoyed. They just have to be games.
