The core gameplay might well be extremely simple, but this is a deceptively deep experience, one that manages to effortlessly balance challenge and accessibility.

In a world where the fascination of a zombie outbreak is now currently huge do to mainstream media, Plague Inc: Evolved is the game for you if you want to simulate your own outbreak.

To me there is no doubt that Q.U.B.E Directors Cut is a very decent Eshop offering. If you are looking for a unique puzzler with an interesting storyline and great presentation I would say you go a lot worse than this one for your money.

It’s far from perfect, but there is something undeniably special about Sonic the Hedgehog 2.

The world looks simple, but the minimalistic approach works really well. I would hugely recommend this game, and has been one of my favourite FPS games recently.

As it stands, Rock Band 4 can only be judged based upon what is available today, and while the on the disk track list isn’t as impressive as that found on any of its predecessors, this is still a highly entertaining and finely crafted entry in the series.

I have no problem saying that this is the best and most original sports game I have played since at least FIFA 12. It mixes all the best elements of sports and online multiplayer games into one in an affordable and seamless experience that looks awesome in YouTube videos as well.

Just like Portal, although perhaps not quite as impactful, Blendo Games have come along and changed the way people perceive the environmental puzzler. It’s the finer details though that ultimately let it down; there’s never really a stress test of your skills, and you’re never confronted with a situation where you can use your entire arsenal to overcome the ultimate puzzle. Still, it looks great and, despite a degree wasted potential, plays great too.

The presentation of the game is what impressed me the most. GUILTY GEAR Xrd -SIGN- is simply stunning with awesome animations, vibrant colours and fluid movement.

I think the game could perhaps benefit from AI bots to play against, but it’s very well presented and there is a lot of variety to keep things entertain for a while.

One of the best puzzle-platformers I have played all year.

A fantastic game, one that’s criminally underrated and will go unnoticed or berated for its ‘awful’ visuals and gameplay. Whatever they may say, the game is a blast to play, and helped alleviate the tedium of the recent releases. Not every game has to have an amazing story, they just have to be a good and fun game.

For those who are board game fans, this is a game you should add to your collection. For anyone else, Armello offers something different to what is currently available on the Playstation 4. It is a beautiful looking gem and certainly worth a king’s ransom.

It probably doesn’t do enough to warrant a double-dip for those who have already experienced the game on last-gen consoles, but despite the lack of a noticeable overhaul, Dishonored remains one of the best first person action games on the market.

Overall The Fall of Gods is an awesome game that I would certainly suggest you play, if you like games like Zelda or Alundra. The world is a huge, exciting and colourful play to explore. The characters and quests are interesting and it kept me entertained throughout. I hope to see more games like this in the future.

Battleships has both a solo campaign and multi-player option. Although the multi-player option works well, we found we were too busy with the AI controlled missions and their various challenges. How often can you say that about a game that has both single and multi-player modes?

It could arguably do with a bit more content and it could certainly do with a handful of licensed tracks, but the songs here are universally solid and the core gameplay remains as impressive and addictive as ever.

A fantastic game that had some incredible moments. The world design is awesome, and uses some clever ways of revealing the scope of the worlds you explore. The bosses are the key moments of the game. They are gigantic, interesting and varied. I would have liked to have seen a bit more combat variation and wished that movement felt a bit quicker, but in general it’s a game that’s well worth checking out.
