SteamWorld Dig is a polished and (mostly) a well designed experience that I recommend. With some major flaws in the narrative that is predictable and never reaches it’s full potential. But held up by great addicting game play and flawless presentation with a style not seen in many games. In short…I dig it.

Overall I have to say that I really enjoyed my time with Republique. At first glance it may look pretty straightforward but it really does offer something unique. It takes what makes stealth games so great and adds a new twist on perspective.

It’s still Madden as you know it, but thanks to an array of improvements to the passing and receiving game, Madden NFL 16 arguably represents the finest entry is the series to date.

Episode 3 has left me wanting more and I want to see what happens next.

Despite Kratos proving as wholly unpleasant as ever, God of War III remains a stellar action adventure, one that looks better than ever in 1080p and 60fps.

Sometimes the gameplay is a little too easy, but most times it is just right and I appreciate that. The story is good for one playthrough and is a fairly easy completion.

It’s not perfect then, but Tembo The Badass Elephant is about as close to the modern Sonic game that we’ve all wanted as we are ever likely to get. With its great level design, fantastic visuals and brilliant move-set, this is old school gaming done right.

I[f] you can get past the cold aesthetic and general lack of character, you will be treated to one of the most addictive and content rich platformers to grace, well, any console...ever.

The whole package is certainly worth the asking price, and certainly deserving of a place in any Indie game fans collection.

In an era full of DLC Witcher 3’s expansion Blood and Wine is certainly a shining example of the practice being done near flawlessly.

Ninja Pizza Girl is a fun 2D platforming game with smooth parkour and meaningful narrative.

Ar nosurge Plus: Ode to an Unborn Star makes you work for your rewards, but put in the effort and you will be remunerated handsomely.

One feature I was particularly pleased to see included was support for legacy controllers.

The fact that the entire game is made in clay is a feat in itself. It just adds a new depth to the visuals. Just having more variety in terms of gameplay and content would have pushed it over the top. At the end of the day Plastilands is an entertaining game that is worth a look.

It might not do anything particularly new for the now well-worn roguelike genre, but Shiren the Wanderer: The Tower of Fortune and the Dice of Fate does so many things right that it’s hard to get too down on its apparent lack of originality.

This episode is without a doubt, one of the most emotional, dramatic and tense episodes in the game so far.

It might lack the polish, budget and variety found in BioWare’s big budget work, but this group of highly motivated ex-BioWare developers have created something special all the same, something built out of passion and a will to do something new.

So this is a decent DLC. The story is there, the new location is there and the added weapons and armour are there. Fans of the franchise will enjoy experiencing more Fallout content to be played around with. The only major fault that I could really pick out was the performance issues and because that affected the entire DLC, it was quite a big issue.

It might all sound rather serious, but Black Pants Studios make sure that fun is their highest priority. So while On Rusty Trails may present a gameplay formula that’s all too common in this current day and age, the fact that the game has the guts to convey such a relevant message elevates it beyond your traditional indie platformer.

Every different aspect of this game just comes together perfectly to create this arcade masterpiece that is unlike any new game on the market and brings to mind all the great games of the past, thrusting it forward onto a new platform and paving the way to show all new gamers what older games used to be like.

Double Fine has once again taken one of their fantastic games and given it some nice additions along with some improved presentation.

A must buy if you are looking for an entertaining puzzler. With puzzles and fun galore, you will have a lot of fun sacrificing the knights for their king in search of immortality, and hearing their dying screams as you gleefully add another name to the roster of dead knights.

Raiden V remains a superior vertical shooter, one with a unique feel, a spectacular aesthetic and a pleasingly aggressive combo and weapon system.

Addictive is an appropriate word to describe this unique puzzler, and no other Indie puzzle game has dragged me in to the same extent, and made me go back and repeatedly fail the same obstacle until I find a way pass, as KYUB has done.

Fans of the 1997 classic will love the respect that Just Add Water has shown to their cult favourite and newcomers will get their first taste of Oddworld, a special series of games which could never be replicated or replaced.

It has its moments where it bares its drawbacks with muddy controls and foggy direction. Mostly though, Quantum Break stays the course and is easily Xbox One’s newest piece of eye candy. A system seller? Probably not. A must-play for a system owner? Absolutely.

The Age of Decadence is worth every penny.

It might have been developed in Finland, but this is a resolutely Japanese experience, and in an age when we are seeing less and less output from the land of the rising sun, it’s good to see someone else taking up the slack.
