After the release of Breath of the Wild back in 2017, the hype for the sequel was so extraordinarily high that many expected that Nintendo might fail to deliver; but those people were brutally proven wrong by the release of Tears of the Kingdom. At this point, Tears of the Kingdom is not just a video game; it's more of a benchmark or platform for other developers to look at and get inspiration and then probably fail to come even close to it.

The Last of Us Part 2 shows us one thing, that the video games industry (unlike Cinema which is moving forward at a much slower pace) has a lot more unexplored potential. Part 2 raised the standards of video games so much, and in almost every respect, including gameplay, visuals, AI, and the [insane] amount of attention to detail, that you would wonder how this much progress on 7-year-old hardware is even possible, and the good news is that this is not the cap, and we can even have better titles in the very bright future of this industry. Set in a cold, dark sci-fi world, the game clearly draws inspiration from Dead Space while still striving to carve out its own identity through a memorable story, epic boss encounters, and strong character relationships. If you’re looking for a high-quality sci-fi action-adventure with an engaging narrative and top-tier visuals, Pragmata is well worth your time and money.

9 years in development and expectations were high when Owlboy came out; and it didn’t disappoint. While gameplay is very classic and simple and story doesn’t have lots to say, visuals and music are where the game really shines. Easily one of the best platformers of the year, if not ever.

Just like the other two titles developed by Failbetter, Sunless Skies is not a game for everybody. It has a very slow rhythm and demands that you read a lot in order to understand the story. So if you are not into reading or patient enough, you'll probably get bored in the first few hours. But if you give it time and get along with its rhythm, you'll definitely have a wonderful experience.

All in all, Total War: Warhammer II is nothing revolutionary, but it certainly improved from the previous game. Solid story and the ability to choose from tons of different races will keep you busy for a long time.

With a sandbox gameplay, advanced enemy AI and a great narration, Halo Infinite is a worthy sequel to Bungie’s trilogy and promises a bright future for the Halo franchise.

Remaking a popular cult classic is never easy, but remaking one of the most innovative survival horror games—one that introduced new ways of scaring players with modern standards—while staying true to its original spirit is even harder. The reveal trailer for the Silent Hill 2 Remake didn’t receive much love from fans, but Bloober Team has done a marvelous job of creating a fantastic modern remake of an all-time classic. While it may not be as shocking or revolutionary as the original, it’s still a must-play for anyone who loves video games.
