PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds on the PlayStation 4 is a port of a bad version of a great concept.- Attack of the Fanboy

Journey to the Savage Planet is absolutely dripping with charm and personality, but the repetitive nature of the exploration and the stiff combat hold it back from being truly great.- Attack of the Fanboy

If you can put up with a game that isn’t quite state of the industry when it comes to visual fidelity and performance, there’s a fun zombie survival game underneath it all.- Attack of the Fanboy

Days Gone has its high points and the open world looks better than ever, even if it is still filled with by-the-books gameplay systems and inconsistent execution.- Attack of the Fanboy

Being a game that will no doubt test your reflexes and tenacity, Disc Room will make the number of deaths you have in a Dark Souls game look miniscule in comparison.- Attack of the Fanboy

Far Cry 6 is just another Far Cry game, one that desperately wants to utilize the imagery of a revolution without having anything meaningful to say about one.- Attack of the Fanboy

Dynasty Warriors: Godseekers may not be what you expect from Dynasty Warriors, but it's a competent strategy RPG that should at least satisfy fans of the franchise.- Attack of the Fanboy

Rick and Morty: Virtual Rick-ality is a short experience, but it delivers on almost all of its promise. Those with a VR headset and little to play will find a lot to enjoy here, even if it's over far too soon.- Attack of the Fanboy

Taking an eclectic blend of different gaming elements, LBX: Little Battlers eXperience does a good job at introducing US gamers to this new world, while also being a great handheld option for kids.- Attack of the Fanboy

Yakuza 6: The Song of Life brings a satisfying end to Kazuma Kiryu's story, but it's not quite the send off I expected. Between its convoluted systems and cut content, it didn't feel like the saga ended with a roar, but with a whimper.- Attack of the Fanboy

Despite its altered gameplay and occasional flaws, Senran Kagura: Peach Beach Splash still offers more than enough fun and fanservice to keep longtime fans happy.- Attack of the Fanboy

While a robust digivolution system features plenty of layers to explore while raising your partner Digimon in a very faithful follow-up to the original, the lackluster battle system may hinder newcomers to the franchise from really enjoying Digimon World: Next Order.- Attack of the Fanboy

A great introduction to the 4x genre, Stars in Shadow succeeds at everything it aims for. The art style is amazing, the gameplay is fun and factions are interesting, held back by only a few lacking systems.- Attack of the Fanboy

MLB 15: The Show is the most accurate representation of the sport yet again, but feels more like a roster update than anything else, outside of a few improvements here and there.- Attack of the Fanboy

For those expecting a Kirby-like platformer experience due to the game being from HAL Laboratory, you will likely be disappointed. Instead, Part Time UFO feels more like a series of wacky extended WarioWare type levels that will keep you addicted as you strive to earn every medal in the game.- Attack of the Fanboy

Heavy Rain was quite the unique release in 2010 and is still worth a look for genre fans. This PC re-release improves a lot of things about that original experience, but doesn't go as far as it could in some respects.- Attack of the Fanboy

Beautiful but lacking, Star Wars: Battlefront will most certainly please Star Wars fans with incredible fan service from DICE. While it stacks up in terms of presentation to other contemporary shooters, Battlefront is an extraordinarily thin offering when it comes to content, making it less enjoyable the more you play it.- Attack of the Fanboy

World War Z: GOTY Edition has everything it needs to be a compelling AA darling: multiple engaging game modes, a solid progression loop, a well polished core gimmick, and competent sound and weapon design. But, much like its standout zombie swarms, the myriad amount of bugs can prove too much to handle.- Attack of the Fanboy

Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number lives up to original in a number of ways, even outpacing it in terms of stylistic violence. With a story that's all over the map, and constraints often placed on the player, Hotline Miami 2 takes away some of the fun from the original game -- just not all of it.- Attack of the Fanboy

Curse of Osiris continues to shine in both gameplay and presentation with its new Raid Lair content being some of the best we've seen. However, a short campaign, and Mercury being so small with a sheer lack of activities to do, make completing the quests for new weapons and gear a bit repetitive.- Attack of the Fanboy

Tariser has come a long way from the bubbly world of LittleBigPlanet with the dark and disgusting world of Little Nightmares. What it lacks in gameplay substance is made up for in visual and audio design. If that's a trade-off you're worth making, then Little Nightmares is a decent entry for the genre.- Attack of the Fanboy

The recreation of the mountains looks fantastic and it is a lot of fun to traverse them using the four different sport options, but unreliable input controls and many buggy moments are a steep hill to overcome to classify Steep as a great game.- Attack of the Fanboy

It’s hard to fully recommend Jaws of Hakkon when it feels so non-essential. There were no unique must-have experiences tucked away within the DLC that would warrant a purchase at $15. If you’re looking for more of the same, you got it.- Attack of the Fanboy

Fairly superficial gameplay and recycled ideas hamper Chroma Squad. The game is saved, however, by tongue-in-cheek writing and an excellent premise. Chroma Squad definitely won’t set the pond on fire but is still enjoyable.- Attack of the Fanboy

While Kirby's Extra Epic Yarn lives up to its name in delivering the original experience with something more, it doesn't truly stand out as the biggest and best version of Kirby's fabric-styled adventure.- Attack of the Fanboy

While the combat is well designed and the worlds feels more expansive and alive than ever, the pacing with the story and overabundance of dialogue prevent Sword Art Online: Hollow Realization from taking the series to the next level.- Attack of the Fanboy

Gust has decided to try something a little different in the spinoff Nelke & The Legendary Alchemists: Ateliers of the New World, but it is still a worthy entry in the series for its unique town building elements and ability to maintain the low key type of experience that fans will find familiar.- Attack of the Fanboy

Pokken Tournament is a fun mash up of traditional fighting games and Pokemon. The game actually takes a lot of risks, but some of them don't pay off. A larger roster of Pokemon to choose from would help as well.- Attack of the Fanboy

The complete lack of context and non-existent story give you nothing to latch on to. The variety of puzzles found in the game don’t have much replay value, and even on the first go round, the more ambitious ones can certainly frustrate.- Attack of the Fanboy

Persona 3 Portable stripped Persona 3 down to its bare essentials just to get the game running on the PSP. Playing that same game on a home console without any significant changes, even at a budget price, feels incredibly underwhelming, especially with Persona 4 Golden releasing alongside it. Yes, the skeleton of Persona 3 is still there. The problem is that there's hardly any meat on its bones. When you pair that with the fact that there still isn't a single definitive edition of Persona 3 on any platform 17 years after its release, it feels like Atlus is neglecting one of its most beloved games.- Attack of the Fanboy
