Curse of Osiris continues to shine in both gameplay and presentation with its new Raid Lair content being some of the best we've seen. However, a short campaign, and Mercury being so small with a sheer lack of activities to do, make completing the quests for new weapons and gear a bit repetitive.

Destiny 2: Curse of Osiris has an excellent new raid and an interesting campaign, but is severely lacking in meaningful content and plagued by a host of larger issues that have yet to be addressed.

A short and easy story, dull assaults, boring multiplayer maps and a small social space. That means that The Curse of Osiris could have been great, but as it is, it's far from achieving that.

A lacklustre first offering that gets by on a few star turns and the same stirling gunplay.

Curse of Osiris landed in Destiny 2 with a thud. Its campaign and story are a bust, its new content is mixed and buggy at best, and it does nothing to address the community’s loud cries for fixes to the endgame. The few redeeming features are its more challenging and varied Adventures, and the Raid Lair’s puzzles and tough boss battle.

Destiny 2 Curse of Osiris is a huge disappointment. Its campaign is short and too easy and the story is lacking depth. Therefore this expansion is way too expensive.

Destiny 2: Curse of Osiris is a waste of both money and time. It’s a shame that Bungie couldn’t use the Infinite Forest themselves to find a timeline in which they had actually crafted a content drop that was as interesting and innovative in practice as it was on paper. Curse of Osiris does house some solid elements, such as decent voice acting and gorgeous design, but that means absolutely nothing when the content itself is meagre and half-baked.

And past Mercury is one of the most visually stunning things i have every seen. In one of the missions you explore a seed ship and i was in that mission for about an hour as i loved the scenery and was just admiring the area. However the lack of darkness zones inside the boss fights was a real downfall, considering that missions were 200-230 due to catering to casual fans it wasn't challenging.

This all being said you have to give it to Bungie that the infinite forest, Mercury past and present and the descendant and precursor vex look visually stunning.

And Bungie now definitely knows that something has to change NOW as they cancelled their raid stream because of the backlash, so the bright side is that destiny 2 will be getting better.

Bungie have has years to make a better game than Destiny 1 which i really enjoyed but they ultimately failed. However year 1 and 2 Destiny was like this as well, not giving content, no story, disappointing overall, but later Destiny 1 was amazing. So there is still hope this will happen again.

If your interested in the vex and destiny lore than i would recommend this dlc, however if you want it for the raid, you should look into it first as even though it looks really good im not sure that everyone will think it was enjoyable.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Even though you may not have to buy this anymore. The campaign is very short. It does not take a long time to complete it. I loved playing Destiny 1 but if the PvP in the game is not unbalanced then I will love everything about the game. I do not go for what is promised. You can go to Mercury in Destiny 2 since the time this DLC game out but it is just one planet to be added in Curse of Osiris. Expand

Very few items of value to the player (armor sets, ghost shells, ships and sparrows) can be found by playing the game. Its all in the store. The campaign is short, the world is small. Its a mall simulator. Buy the game to gain entry to a store (eververse), that will ensure that everything you do ensures you visit the shop. This "expansion" is more about the store than the game. I am embarrassed that we XBONE users have rated this higher then the PS4 peeps. Just read all the other reviews here, they are 100% spot on. Bungies incredible lack of any respect for their consumers continues to shine through with this terrible expansion but the fact they have locked out vanilla content with this release is bordering on illegal. Boycott Bungie. To hell with Destiny 1.5 Expand
