If it is your first approach to the saga, getting to this game directly on PS5 should be a unique experience. If you arrive from PS3 without having played the remastering you will notice a good jump. But if you come from PS4 and, especially from PS4 Pro, the change is not going to be so exaggerated.

Stray is a game that has surprised me both for the good and for the bad. I expected a game that simply tried to distract us from its failures with the idea that it would be enough to put us in the shoes of an adorable cat. And it has been that, but also more things: my skepticism regarding him has ended up leaving as I saw more of the world he wants to present. In the end, it's ironic that the thing I've fallen least in love with in a game about controlling a cat was, precisely, controlling a cat.

Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes proves that musou really does work for the IP. It already worked once with the first game, and now this sequel improves several aspects from a narrative standpoint as well as regarding its technical performance.

The content is a bit scarce on release, but gameplay-wise is magnificent. Mario Strikers: Battle League Football is definitely the best game in the series, and I believe it has the potential to become one of the top arcade competitive sports games. At the same time, it also has great potential as a game to play amongst family and friends.

The Quarry is A MUST for any fan of the genre. It is a game that constantly tries to one-up Until Dawn and, as far as it concerns me, it manages to do so. The game is intense but bearable even if, just like me, you cannot handle horror that well. The Quarry takes hold of you up until the very last moment, with the comforting sensation that every choice you have made along the way is actually represented in your gameplay experience.

Evil Dead: The Game comes to our consoles to remind us how much we love the original movies, and also to bring them to a new audience. It's a perfect experience for anyone who wants to fight evil (or be evil himself). Despite having a very simple Campaign Mode, the Online Mode is very fun.

Eiyuden Chronicle: Rising was supposed to be a simple introduction to the Eiyuden Chronicle world... but instead it becomes a tedious exploration of a TON of secondary, unnecessary quests. In the end, the beauty of its world as well as the simplicity of its design are not allowed to shine as they most certainly could.

Warhammer 40,000: Chaos Gate – Daemonhunters Massive hours of gameplay, simply wonderful isometric turn-based strategic combat and art design that will satisfy all fans of the 40k universe.

Nintendo Switch Sports is a game that arrives in a situation of need: two years after a pandemic that led us to isolation, Nintendo brings us something that encourages us to connect with others again. I will continue to play it until my body takes it... or until my friends get tired of me after taking the game with me everywhere.

Tiny Tina's Wonderland is an ode to tabletop role-playing games that will transport the player to a first person perspective. The casual and humorous approach of Tina fits just perfectly within the game, and with all of the general improvements over Borderlands this spin-off might as well surpass the main game.

Kirby and the Forgotten Land goes well beyond my personal expectations with both innovation as well as pure fun throughout the whole journey. Its world invites you to explore every single area thanks to the many minigames, puzzles as well as cooperative experiences that extend the overall gameplay in a most satisfying way. It's an ambitious game that will appeal to the long-time fans of Kirby, but also to newcomers.

Shredders has its fair share of good intentions; it is meant to be a love-letter to an exciting sport such as snowboard, but in the end it does not manage to excite the player, the main reason being its lack of virtues. It is a fun game... but also a very simple and monotonous one. Unfortunately, it does not manage to shine much within its own genre.

Martha is Dead is a midway game. A title that you can enjoy if you are a lover of the genre, but you play it knowing that something is missing, knowing that it could have been something else. If you are looking to be scared, you may find more tension than something scary.

Triangle Strategy is an amazing game, but it could be even better if it managed to get rid of the most classic topics of the JRPG genre. Its mechanics completely overshadow everything it wants to tell us; how it is played is a thousand times better than what it is played for. Besides that i really think that this will be one of the best silent games of 2022.

Gran Turismo 7 stands at the peak of simulation, and not just regarding driving games. Furthermore, the game goes above and beyond anything seen before, making it seem even slightly 'erotic' for car lovers: observing your cars, taking pictures of them and enjoying some relaxing moments are all core parts of the Gran Turismo 7 experience. In conclusion, the game is a perfect mix of both elegance and pure competition.

Elden Ring is the real next step for souls-like standards. It is unlike anything FromSoftware has created before, displaying an uncanny world that will keep on wowing players even as they pile up more and more hours of gameplay. Elden Ring is, thus, a prime candidate to become the 2022 GOTY.

Is a game always better if it has more content than its previous entry? In this specific case, I have to say no. Horizon Forbidden West still is a great game, there is no doubt whatsoever about that, but it did not manage to go to the next level. If you enjoyed the first entry of the series you are probably going to enjoy this one all the same, maybe even more. However, I feel a lack of ambition, mainly because I wholeheartedly believe that both Aloy and Guerrilla are capable of something 'bigger'.

Just like with Souls, you feel good when you manage to take out a boss or complete an area without taking damage as planned. The word is rewarding. The game is Sifu.

Uncharted: Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection is the definitive edition of two games that remind me that Naughty Dog are experts at creating great adventures. Now I have no doubt whatsoever, the legacy of Nathan Drake is eternal.

Pokémon Legends: Arceus is a masterpiece made for the lovers of the Pokémon World. The game lets us explore a huge world while we enjoy a wonderful story.
