Civilization VII represents the most ambitious leap forward in the series' history. Firaxis has managed to modernize the formula while maintaining the essence that has made the series great. The introduction of the Dynamic Eras system, the revamping of combat and diplomacy, along with improvements to urban development, create an experience that feels fresh and familiar at the same time.- Areajugones

Call of Duty returns with a game that comes back to its roots in terms of gameplay. The campaign, even though its too short and linear, is very well crafted. The multiplayer and zombies suffer the loot crate fever, but its content is really good. This is an improvement of the saga taking into consideration its recent years.- Areajugones

Digimon Story Time Stranger is not a turning point for JRPGs by any means. However, as a Digimon game, it excels with its ambitious storytelling. That which truly shines though is its Digivolution system, which is deep, engaging, and will keep you hooked for dozens of hours. Whether you're a longtime fan of the franchise or looking to reconnect with it, Digimon Story Time Stranger won't disappoint.- Areajugones

Obliteracers is especially fun on cooperative mode, although we would have liked to see more content. Speaking about the online mode, there weren’t enough players in order to play a complete match. However, it has several innovations in the arcade racing genre.- Areajugones

Quantic Dream surpasses everything it has done before with Detroit: Become Human. A huge script allows for a thrilling story to have multiple layers that, at the same time, deal with topics such as slavery, the human condition or the concept of identity. A real masterpiece of the genre.- Areajugones

Descenders is a fun and challenging mix between arcade and roguelike genders with freeride as the perfect excuse. High speed, risky tricks and an infinite amount of procedural tracks are the pillars of one of the best surprises of 2019 so far.- Areajugones

Hazelight Studios redefines with A Way Out what a co-op game should be. Leo and Vincent’s story has the players facing situations like we have never seen in a videogame before. This is undoubtedly one of this year’s best surprises.- Areajugones

Dune: Awakening is exactly the type of game the industry needs more of: ambitious, respectful of its source material, and willing to take real creative risks. It's not perfect, and it's definitely not for everyone, but for those who connect with its vision, it offers a genuinely unique experience. If you're looking for a casual survival game you can play an hour here and there, this isn't your game. But if you want to lose yourself in one of the most convincing and complex virtual worlds ever created, Arrakis is waiting for you. Funcom has created something special here: a game that honors both Frank Herbert and the survival genre, and sets new standards for what ambitious MMOs can achieve when developers truly understand their source material.- Areajugones

Retro Studios opts for a game that looks back to the classics, understanding that the saga’s greatest virtue lies within its own legacy. This fourth installment of the franchise will be remembered for years as the one that survived nearly a decade of uncertainty and ultimately became the best thing Nintendo could give us: a good old-fashioned Metroid Prime.- Areajugones

Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name is much more than 'just a spin-off'. This entry not only provides context for Kiryu's reapparance as a headliner within the Like a Dragon franchise, but also introduces tons of nostalgia as well as some new gameplay elements. Overall, it may not be as long as the main Like a Dragon entries (but don't fret, it cannot be considered 'short'), although it stands its ground as a video game that should be considered a must-play franchisewise.- Areajugones

Visual Concepts once again gives us the definitive basketball experience in the world of videogames. Coinciding with the twenty-third anniversary of the numbering of their games, they could only point to excellence. The gameplay looks sharper and more precise than ever, the vintage game modes take us back to incredible times and MyTEAM and MyCareer remain a safe bet. Without a doubt, essential for lovers of sports games.- Areajugones

Returning to play Deacon St. John and exploring the dangerous lands of Farewell felt like a trip back in time to 2019. The experience was more rewarding than expected thanks to its new features, extending the hours of enjoyment beyond the game's main plot even further. Days Gone Remastered delivers on absolutely every front, proving itself to be a more than adequate remake, not only for existing players but also for new ones who decide to delve into it.- Areajugones

Green Hell is one of the most suitable survival experiences for the most experienced players of the genre. This title focuses its mechanics on realism, making it as immersive as possible. Without having invented anything new, the truth is that the varied history mode gives that unique touch in the genre. Riders Republic is one of the biggest surprises of the year for me. A title with a gameplay so polished that it is capable of erasing all the bad preconceptions you could have about it. In the end, the most important thing about Riders Republic is that it makes you feel like the king of the mountain in every jump, every skid and every stunt that you manage to land safely on the ground.- Areajugones

Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream is one of those titles capable of hooking you almost without realizing it, slipping into your daily routine and constantly surprising you with situations as unpredictable as they are hilarious. It doesn’t need grand gimmicks to shine. Its greatest virtue is precisely that: turning the ordinary into something extraordinary, relying on chaos, humor, and the player’s creativity.- Areajugones
