The single-player story (with a few caveats), the co-op mode Extinction and the multiplayer that will have you staying up late into the morning hours for months to come all balance well with each other and act as a testament that Infinity Ward has truly delivered a title worthy of the Call of Duty games of old.

It’s a thoroughly entertaining game that provides a healthy mix of action and stealth.

There are several things that make Halo 3: ODST a winning combination. The story presentation and characterization clearly evolved beyond what we're used to witnessing in prior Halo games.

Forget working on my backlog this next month or so; I’m going to soak in as much inFAMOUS as I can.

Samorost 3 is a work of art, I like to think. Right from the first challenge I fell in love with the game and I enjoyed how the world is presented. Take my word for it, some of the wacky creature designs are sure to bring a smile on your face.

Mortal Kombat X does a lot brilliantly, and the game has brought back in more non-fighting fans to the fold and forsaken MK fans than really any other MK game or fighting game before it. It’s really too bad that a few poorly-put together ideas keep it from being a flawless victory.

The one area where this updated "Hitman 2" code shows great improvements is in the rag doll physics model.

The best bit is that you can experience the whole story again through the eyes of a completely different character, thus unwrapping further details about the plot. This kind of storytelling is not found too often and it was certainly a pleasure to undertake.

Even if you completely ignore the missions, you can still have a lot of fun just playing with the environment. See who can make the biggest stack of cars. Race to the top the agency building. Try to jump the farthest in your diesel truck.

Considering you get all this for thirty bucks, I see no reason why every action RPG or DS fan shouldn't go out and grab this one right now. If you're into addictive games, I can almost guarantee you won't be disappointed with LoA.

The AI still exhibits some faults during real-time combat. On the 'normal' level of difficulty, they were too easily tricked by my more mobile units into falling into ambushes and subsequently being surrounded. They would often unnecessarily try to cross the river even though that would significantly diminish their maneuverability and effectively take them out of the battle.

While some RTS fans may not be happy that it does not follow the same Build & Overwhelm pattern of many other RTS titles, the depth and strategy it offers is a welcome change.

The whole game looks and sounds cool. In fact, Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon is excessive, cheesy and utterly ridiculous, but above all else, it doesn’t take itself seriously and that’s really all we ask for, seeing as we’ve been killing dinosaurs with lasers for the last several hours.

Comic book fans will take to this one like a fat guy to an all you can eat buffet (in some cases we are talking about the same person), but players who are looking for an action RPG that offers great visuals, polished gameplay and solid co-op for the roughly 20 hours to complete the game should pick up Marvel Ultimate Alliance.

A worthy sequel to the original and an engaging tactical RTS game. The sequel is more elaborate, comprehensive and technically advanced than the original.

Beautiful visuals are accompanied by an amazingly atmospheric soundtrack, which perfectly blends with the furious style of rally racing.

Possesses the same degree of replay value as the original game. Once gamers have gone through the entire new campaign, they can find a lot of new and interesting things to experiment with the next time around - a characteristic that should define any decent RPG.

The gameplay is complex, nonlinear and addictive.

If there is a problem with the game it's that it offers nothing new to this style of game that hasn't already come from the Boob Raider saga. That's not to say it's a bad game. It a great game.

This is far from a reinvention of the RTS genre, but it is certainly a much needed rebirth for this series. At long last, the king has returned.

At least Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments can be broken up into manageable chunks in between your other gaming sessions. If you’re a fan of Sherlock Holmes or mysteries in general, I can’t recommend this one enough.

Bottom line is I had loads of fun playing BF 2142 in multiplayer.

Outlast is a game designed to frighten even those who deem themselves hard to scare. What we have here is a proper survival-horror game that thankfully doesn’t make the transition to the action genre like so many other horror-themed games these days.

Assassin’s Creed Syndicate does incredibly well most of what they set out to do, and Ubisoft has redeemed the series quite a bit with this new offering. It’s sadly still not as polished as it could be, which is most likely due to the annualization of this series.

Just remember, if you do decide to hang out in the Himalayas, stop and enjoy the scenery. The environments are absolutely breathtaking.

For gamers who dig various deadly weaponry, Buffy: the Vampire Slayer is packed with a diversity of vampire-icing thingies, most of which have to be handled with care or they can be quite deadly to you as well.

It's hampered with a number of issues that originally wouldn't have existed if only the game was designed with the PC in mind. But even as it is, Deus Ex: Invisible War is an intelligent, mature and engrossing project that deserves the attention of every self-respecting shooter/adventure game fan out there.

The multiplayer aside, the true appeal to the game remains in the single-player campaign, which is how it was and should be with a DOOM title.
