Despite additions like crossplay and a 60fps performance mode this is merely a halfhearted remaster of a once very good arcade racer. Having said that, the still terrific autolog system keeps you motivated, while the pursuits are still highly enjoyable.

As a full-fledged action rpg à la Diablo this is merely average. Where Zenith shines is the humor and its delivery. Similar to The Bard’s Tale (2005) nothing in the genre is untouchable and will be used to get a punchline out of it.

The mixture of dungeon crawler, hunt for loot and dualstick action works surprisingly well, eventually you don’t think about the mobile roots anymore. But towards the end the weak balancing takes a lot of the fun away.

The art direction shines, although it could be closer to the source. And even though in local co-op it is as entertaining as any Lego game, the movie conversion can’t hide that mechanically it is merely a risk free collection of everything we got to know over the last few years.

It has its flaws, but in its best moments this is an intense VR stealth game with loads of phsical movement and a cool teleportation system.

You’ll encounter tactical and AI issues, but nonetheless Ancient Space delivers challenging strategy where each and every ship you command is important.

A good Assassin's Creed for those who prefer stealth, parkour and a small but still formulaic open world.

A decent remake of the best Yakuza episode in terms of storytelling.

Story and humor are less entertaining than in the last years, the mechanics are a mix of well known elements on one side and entertaining new ones on the other. And while the trap masters are little more than overpriced doorkeepers, the trapping concept is cool and technically very well presented.

In its best moments Outlast 2 is one of the most intensive horror experiences out there – mainly thanks to the excellent design. But mechanically it relies too much on trial and error and redundant elements that tame the terror.

It is short, visually stimulating and very relaxing. A different approach to gaming that works quite as well on PC as it did before on Wii U.

Reincarnation is trash and proud of it. It celebrates its roots and is consequent in what it tries to achieve: To be a thoroughly entertaining waste of time. Well… Mission accomplished.

I like the open character development where I don't have to wear a class straitjacket as well as the quiet discovery of mysterious dangers. But more often that it wants to, The Secret World is "just" an ordinary MMO.

In terms of content this is the game that it should have been in the beginning. Unfortunately problems with too much grind, missing comfort functions as well as redundant planetary exploration still remain.

Every minute in this uncommon setting is more satisfying than the usual map crawling in other action adventures. But in the end the story can’t deliver and with the omission of the PS3s’ motion controls an essential part of the experience is missing.

A year ago on consoles the potential was basically untapped. Now, especially with the addition of a campaign, it is a much more engrossing experience.

The sabbatical that EA gave its basketball franchise was a year well spent. In certain aspects like presentation and fluidity on the court it still is inferior to Visual Concepts’ 2K series, but overall it is a big step forward in almost every area. I found myself spending a lot of time in NBA Live trying to become The One.

If you don’t mind sudden changes of direction and loopings, you should definitely take a look. It is a tad too minimalistic to challenge the likes pf WepEout or Fast Racing Neo, but nonetheless this is an intense future racer for the fresh VR headsets. [Tested with Rift and Vive]

If you focus on the main and the wasteland missions you’ll discover a tight and gripping story with characters that George Miller will certainly approve of – as well as the intense and explosive action. But if you stray from the path you’ll only find generic collecting in an open world that doesn’t offer too much variety.
