As a successor to the glorious Ridge Racer franchise Unbounded is quite disappointing, the controls are sluggish, the AI is unfair, the destruction feels superficial. Almost everything that you once associated with Ridge Racer is gone. Thanks to the editor and the well executed online mode it might still be worth a look for some.- 4P.de

I am certainly not disillusioned by the fact that I only get a Civ light on the tablet. But rather by the little progress the game has made in five years and the price politics: You’ll get the in most aspects better predecessor for free. I was hoping that Dying Light would be more than Dead Island in a big city. And while the parkour elements as well as the stealth are a welcome but in some cases underutilized addition to the proven zombie killing formula, a lot of the core gameplay is run-of-the-mill open world: Mindless fetch-missions with almost no coherent or suspenseful story.- 4P.de

It is annoying to see how Ubisoft sacrifices the logic of an open world for the sake of a chain of missions with little challenge. Within the blink of an eye open areas become restricted, people disappear and the heroine is not allowed to change her clothes anymore – which, by the way, is a great idea to camouflage her weaknesses.- 4P.de

I don't know if it was the best idea to move away from the comic style of the predecessor. But this engine with its' technical problems starting from bland textures up to framerate issues, not to mention the really bad voiceovers certainly won't help Ayumi to find an audience. F1 Race Stars strives to be an alternative to Mario Kart. But the weapons systems are unbalanced, the AI relies more on cheating itself to the top spot than battling it out on the track. Iron Galaxy knows how to make the most of Kinect as simple gestures make technical shortcomings of the motion detection hardware almost disappear. However, good controls don't constitute a good game: The deconstruction of too many similar castles does not translate into the same kind of ridiculous fun you get from Pain, Flatout and others.- 4P.de

How this design could move beyond concept phase is beyond me. A lightning fast retro shooter that you have to play slow. Really? This is a boring hamster wheel of procedural synthesis.
