    The album explores themes of overcoming, achievements and explains something very profound as in the song ONLY LOVE, in my opinion and I believe of many, this album is one of her best, it is danceable, a happy album and it is to listen anywhere. I understood your Metacritic note, I think you guys still listen again before you give a shameful note like that, it's a lot of injustice.     katy proved by A and B that she is an artist who conveys truth and always delivers her own messages of light through her work, I am happy to know that she does not need the validation of critics to feel happy being a real artist, thanks for make so many people happy with your international smile

    one of her best albuns so far, she finally got back her smile! short but powerful. extra points for never really over, not the end of the world, cry about it later, teary eyes, harleys in hawaii, champagne problems, tucked and only love. there's no bad songs, but these ones deserve an extra point.

    Katy Perry is finally here with her 5th studio album, and the time we all have wait is worth it, Smile is full of magnificent songs, and it shows the new mature phase of her, she's literally the queen of making bop songs, one of the best albums of 2020 whitout doubt.

Katy is at her best. I love the new wave 80's style in some of the songs. My favourite songs are never really over, cry about it later, teary eyes, daisies, not the end of the world, harleys in Hawaii, Tucked and only love. I love this album so much.… Expand

    This is one of the best albums of the year! I don’t understand that why Metacritic scores it this much low cause it really deserves much better. I hope this album gets what it deserves❤️

    Without fleeting moments of bad taste, Perry does indeed sound mature, but she's also not quite as fun. That's a conscious choice, though. Smile is intended to evoke memories of her frivolous younger days while pointing toward a sustainable pop future.

    Like Joanne before Chromatica, Smile plays like a necessary centering exercise, indulging her insecurities and less surefire instincts. If Witness was overdetermined, Smile is an earnest exhale, for better or for worse. It delivers an image of her journey towards inner peace that is honest (if corny) and catchy (if not exactly inventive).
