    This album is a perfect masterpiece! It brings everything we were waiting from a Katy Perry record. It is strong, show many sides of a hard moment in her life and brought some smiles back. Definitely, it is the best album in her entire career! Great job, Katy, you made me smile in a hard moment.

    She returned to her best form, which is dipping into many different forms of pop and nailing them. She manages to traverse many styles and themes without it seeming cluttered or messy, which allows for an interesting and enjoyable body of work.

    This is one of her best albums. The way she didn’t stay to her usuals music really makes you want to get up and dance. The music makes you want to smile when listening to any of the songs.

    It’s pop music, of course they sound like same old Katy Perry songs. I don’t understand what’s the point to say that. Every BTS, Drake songs sound the same to me. If anyone’s gonna complain about this, do some research about pop music, dumbass. And wtf are those critics, stop pretending professional by comparing Katy’s old music when you can’t really analyze Katy’s new music.

It perfectly documents her journey of recovery from the Witness Era till now. All the trilogies serve a different sound to the listener and gives them a personal perspective of her life. It consists of nostalgic disco influenced songs mixed perfectly with mid tempo songs talking about resilience and hope and is truly her best work in her entire career.… Expand

    My mind was blown away while listening to this album. After a long successful journey, Katy Perry gave us SMILE in a tough time for all of us. She worked on that album while pregnant and released it as a young mom. All these emotions you can hear and feel. Nothing is fake, nothing is staged.

    Starting the song with Never Really Over was a great decision, because the song got it all. It is    My mind was blown away while listening to this album. After a long successful journey, Katy Perry gave us SMILE in a tough time for all of us. She worked on that album while pregnant and released it as a young mom. All these emotions you can hear and feel. Nothing is fake, nothing is staged.

    Starting the song with Never Really Over was a great decision, because the song got it all. It is simply a HIT with its production, emptilnal depth. Just like Harley's in Hawaii, a tropical masterpiece makes me wanting to have summer right know, is from 2019. Her strongest singles from that year, for sure.
    On the album, Daisies and Smile are perfect examples of the status quo of THE Katy Perry. Deep songs with a great message. Katy Perry served.
    All the other songs on the album support the theme in an awesome way.
    Cry About It Later and Not The End Of The World are absolutely single worthy and deserved a high budget music video, which Katy Perry always delivers.
    Only Love, What Makes A Woman and Resilient are emotional mid tempo tracks showing the true Katy Perry to her fans and all of us.
    With every listen you get a new wist and new sounds in a song, truly a surprise to see a now grown Katy Perry showing us: She is the Queen of Pop and nobody can do it lile her. Other female pop stars try to change their roots and main genres to get attention. Katy Perry WAS, IS AND ALWAYS WILL BE POP PERFECTION.

    Honestly I was Surprised about how good the album is. Cry about it later, Teary Eyes, Only love, Never Really Over, Not the End Of the World....all of this in one record

    Without fleeting moments of bad taste, Perry does indeed sound mature, but she's also not quite as fun. That's a conscious choice, though. Smile is intended to evoke memories of her frivolous younger days while pointing toward a sustainable pop future.

    Like Joanne before Chromatica, Smile plays like a necessary centering exercise, indulging her insecurities and less surefire instincts. If Witness was overdetermined, Smile is an earnest exhale, for better or for worse. It delivers an image of her journey towards inner peace that is honest (if corny) and catchy (if not exactly inventive).
