Katy Perry deserves nothing but love and respect!

This is such an amazing album. Some songs are real bops, like Not the End of the world and Cry About it Later, which has the best production after Never Really Over. Only Love and What Makes a Woman are the est ballads.

I mean, Katy Perry gave us an album and promoted during a pandemic and while being pregnant.

The album is truly one of the finest released this year. Katy Perry has really achieved pop perfection again with this album. I don't know why the critics are targeting it but I can't agree with their review for the album. The songs feel personal and for someone who as been through as much stuff as Katy, it really feels like a deep dive into her emotions during her post-witness era. Katy Perry's fifth album left us nothing but a Smile on our faces. I think this is her best album since she told us that it is a combination of Teenage Dream and Prism. Amidst the pandemic that we are facing, Katy delivered us a bundle of joy. This is one of the best thing that happened this year.

    She's Got That Smile !

I geninuely have no idea why these critics have been so harsh. This album is full of healing, fun and fabulous floor fillers. It really shows just how much Katy has grown over the years and there is definitly potential for a few chart toppers in here. I would highly reccomend this album as it's full of fun and really brought a smile to my face !

This is, in my opinion Katy's best album. It's no wonder she's getting awarded for leaving a positive impact on society through her music when she has so many beautiful, uplifting songs and this album is no exception. SMILE truly makes me happy

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. This is one of, if not her best work yet. The songs are meaningful, the production is phenomenal, the melodies are gorgeous, the lyrics are poetic. This album represents her strives to overcome the darkest period of her life and you can definitely tell. These songs are uplifting and exude light. This is the music the world needs right now. As she says in Only Love - “let me leave this world with the hate behind me, and take the love instead. give me only love.”
This album will be a timeless classic in her discography. Mark my words.

Um álbum que foi lançado em um momento especial na vida da katy, músicas esperançosas e dançantes, o pop que a artista sabe fazer de melhor. Cry about it later, Not the end of the World, Champagne problems e Only Love são destaques nessa obra completa e incrivelmente maravilhosa.

Liking music is subjective. Professiona critics are neither above nor below all thr average listeners of songs on a daily basis. SMILE is a great album! If y’all gon rate the record based off Katy and not the album itself, then the credibility of each critic is just pure nonesense.

I have been a Katy fan since 2010 when she released Teenage Dream which made pop history. After the sad flop of Witness (very deep and not for everyone), Katy wants to come back stronger than before. Highly recommended! An advise: DON'T READ CRITICS REVIEWS! They are paid to write negatives reviews, trying to drag Katy's hard work. Trust me Expand

Katy just served one of her most personal works, telling a story of resilience, overcoming and a
fight to depression. With this album, she remember us one of the most importante purpose of the
music: bring the real essence of the listener during many experiences in their lives.

Favorite songs: Cry About It Later, Teary Eyes, Never Really Over and Tucked.
    Worst songs: None.

Without fleeting moments of bad taste, Perry does indeed sound mature, but she's also not quite as fun. That's a conscious choice, though. Smile is intended to evoke memories of her frivolous younger days while pointing toward a sustainable pop future.

While Perry finds the occasional moment of quality here (Smile and Tucked both feel like the best possible music we could get from Katy Perry in 2020), Smile is an album searching for an identity—and when it fails, it falls back on lazy writing.

Like Joanne before Chromatica, Smile plays like a necessary centering exercise, indulging her insecurities and less surefire instincts. If Witness was overdetermined, Smile is an earnest exhale, for better or for worse. It delivers an image of her journey towards inner peace that is honest (if corny) and catchy (if not exactly inventive).
