    There is no bad songs in this album. The concept is awesome, and all the lyrics are amazing. She really released her best album ever. Congrats Katy.

    Maybe the best record in her discography. It will give you your smile back. My favorites are Cry about it later, Not the end of the World, Tucked and Only Love
    Very personal and intense album. I recommend it to everyone ❤️

    It's a incredible album it feels so fresh, honest, transparent, all the songs are amazing and each one tells you something in a cohesive way. It's all a journey at the beginning you could feel sad but as you progress you can understand the purpose of the album at the end I'm sure that you gonna be happy.

I was very surprised when I saw the mixed review score on here, yet such a high user score, so I decided to read the reviews. Unfortunately, it seems like critics are only focused on Katy Perry as aSmile is an amazing album. All of the songs are incredible and bring their own special touch which is hard to find nowadays. All of the songs are catchy, well-produced and the perfect length. I was very surprised when I saw the mixed review score on here, yet such a high user score, so I decided to read the reviews. Unfortunately, it seems like critics are only focused on Katy Perry as a person and not her music— in one article even arguing that her relationship with Orlando and her battle with depression are the only aspects that are appealing about her. In another review, Katy is compared to every female artist under the sun. How about we just focus on the music? This is her best album to date. Glad to see the user score reflects that.… Expand

    This album felt like a journey I could completely resonate with, from the sad bangers like Cry about it later (that guitar solo, a serve) to the uplifting introspective slower songs like Only love. Katy brings once again an album full of fun songs, easy to dance to, but with a more mature sound and lyricism (although there's room to improve).     Perry did a wonderful job in formulating the perfect story of from overcoming heartbreaks to love with songs such as Never Really Over, Cry About It Later and Teary Eyes which all three of them have a unique European dance influence with the production and sound. not only that she also did a great in delivering message of resilience in battling hard times in life with songs such as DaisiesPerry did a wonderful job in formulating the perfect story of from overcoming heartbreaks to love with songs such as Never Really Over, Cry About It Later and Teary Eyes which all three of them have a unique European dance influence with the production and sound. not only that she also did a great in delivering message of resilience in battling hard times in life with songs such as Daisies the 2nd single of the album, and resilient with lyrics such as 'there will rainbows after the rain' that sends a massage for people to be hopeful and see the bright side of the darkness that each individuals faced. These lyrics may come from Perry's personal battles with the underperformance of her last album Witness (Which in my opinion is a great and misunderstood album). not only that but Perry also managed to deliver party anthems to celebrate those battles, with Smile, the title track, Champagne Problems and Tucked which all have 80s disco influence that might be perfect in the rise of those sound and genre. After all of the fun, here comes the love story. She started with the romantic Harleys In Hawaii that depicts her love story with beau Orlando Bloom followed with Only Love, a great song with a great message, telling people to leave all the hate and focus with taking the love only. She later finished the album strong with What Makes A Woman, a strong ballad for women and motherhood that beautifies the struggle of what does make to understand a woman. overall this album is a solid one and probably one of her greatest. I don't know why my fellow critics are giving it low score when this album has depth and cohesion.… Expand

    This álbum is a BOP
    “CRY ABOUT IT LATER” is the biggest on the album, it is worth mentioning the quality of "champagne problem" and "not the end of the world".

    Lyrically beautiful, the songs are so positive and upbeat. I feel very happy and instantly in a good mood while hearing the songs. It is Katy's best album, after Teenage Dream. Teary Eyes & Not the End of the World are single worthy with great production. This album is a masterpiece that deserves good critics. Katy has worked very hard on this album. Im happy for her :)

    Without fleeting moments of bad taste, Perry does indeed sound mature, but she's also not quite as fun. That's a conscious choice, though. Smile is intended to evoke memories of her frivolous younger days while pointing toward a sustainable pop future.

    Like Joanne before Chromatica, Smile plays like a necessary centering exercise, indulging her insecurities and less surefire instincts. If Witness was overdetermined, Smile is an earnest exhale, for better or for worse. It delivers an image of her journey towards inner peace that is honest (if corny) and catchy (if not exactly inventive).
