    As, after a vary flat and low phase, Rebel Heart was a return to form, in terms of melodic solidity and catchy hooks (worsen by the heaviest production possible), Madame X is a statement of musical freedom, curiosity, maturity and boldness; as Rebel Heart was at the continuous reasearch of impact effects and emotional picks, Madame X is anticlimatic and rarefied, deconstructed and full ofAs, after a vary flat and low phase, Rebel Heart was a return to form, in terms of melodic solidity and catchy hooks (worsen by the heaviest production possible), Madame X is a statement of musical freedom, curiosity, maturity and boldness; as Rebel Heart was at the continuous reasearch of impact effects and emotional picks, Madame X is anticlimatic and rarefied, deconstructed and full of unpredictable turns; as Rebel Heart was discontinuous and chaotic, Madame X is a full run, a coherent and flowing experience. I'm surprised by how all the genres presented in the album seem to integrate each other in such a smooth and graceful way. Here and then some lyrics are cringy, it's got to be said, but the whole thing breaths life in and out: courage, commitment, sharing, solidity,
    experimentation, sensuality, hope, strenght.

    Madonna is so brilliant and original and Mademe X brings it to a new level. Not afraid to be experimental. So many of the songs are masterpieces, specially God Control. The whole album is a masterpiece itself. Definitely the album of the year!

    It's original, full of powerful messages and very well produced. It's Madonna's genius mind free to work and create. It's textures and layers gives you so many different feelings sometimes on the same track. Sit down 'cause it's gonna be a ride.

    It's taken me almost a week to digest this rich body of work. It's a dark masterpiece. Odd, thoughtful, mesmerising. It needs to be appreciated as a complete body of work and listened in it's entirety from beginning to end to fully absorb and appreciate the message.

    Fresh air blowing from Latin America. You may think the album sounds bizarre, weird, unusual, but at the same time, Madame X is fresh, original, experimental, and unique.

    At almost 40 years into her career, Madonna has put out a masterpiece. This album is BETTER than Ray Of Light and Confessions On A Dance Floor. Not her best SINCE Confessions like many reviews are saying, but the best album of her entire career. God Control and Killers Who Are Partying are perfect songs that no other pop star would have the courage nor intelligence to create.

    Bold and authentic. Madonna embracing these cultures is natural and never forced. Wish Killers Who Are Partying had better lyrics, but the production makes up for it. God Control and the latin tracks are personal favorites.

This musical trip around the world shows us that there's no boundaries when it comes to music and there's no limits when it comes to Madonna. I was pleasantly surprised to hear her singing in an uninteresting language for the musical mainstream like portuguese. And as a brazilian that I am, it made me feel a certain pride.

    Madonna had promised us that this album would be an American Life's "successor" and it was successfully fulfilled only with the outstanding track God Control, whose lyrics sound like a national (or global) anthem of the nowdays. I also highlight the intense Extreme Occident and I Don't Search I Find, the 21st century's "Vogue".

    Masterpiece ... experimental, dark, haunting, but still stylish. Nothing an average pop star would dare to do nowadays. One of her best!

    This is a wild experimental album, full of different sonic surprises. I hope she continues to explore this way, it suits this woman better than reducing herself to fit in with the standard. I'm glad she's owning up to her eccentricity

    More than 30 years after, she keeps being experimental, outrageous, sexy and bringing questions and controversy about our society...
    In a world with so much artists doing the same boring thing is good to see Madonna trying new roads on her carreer...Some critcs called Madame X bizarre, if this is bizarre, so bizarre is a good adjective

    This is her best album this decade, and her most experimental ever. She touches everything from personal issues to world problems in a very intimate and original way. Props to her for using her platform year after year to raise these issues and making people think. Both sonically and lyrically, it's Madonna's doing her best. Love it!

    Overall, Madonna’s fourteenth album Madame X feels as if Mirwais had mostly completed a decent run-of-the-mill modern pop record, albeit with a cool hotch-potch global feel; hip nods in place to fado, dub and other micro-genres dunked amongst the trap and retro disco. But then just before sign-off, Herself went through the top-lines with a sharpie. ... None of these carefully curated flourishes feel as if they truly live inside the ‘whole’ of this music. Instead it all feels plonked on top of a template.
