Everything for fans, but not DC, but Snyder personally. I was pleased with what I saw. Four hours passed unnoticed, leaving behind good impressions. Thanks to Snyder for coming back for this movie. To the fans for persisting in getting their way.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The first half of this film felt like it dragged on a bit, but the 2nd half was incredible. There were actualy stakes now, as the mother boxes and Steppenwolf/Darkseid were explained in detail. The soundtrack really helped elevate the tension. In the original theatrical release the heroes fighting Superman felt cheesy and comical at times. In the Snyder Cut the fight had a lot more build up and was filled with tension, it was the opposite of cheesy and slapstick.

The soundtrack did get a little repetitive at times, such as Wonder Womans music. Some of the effects weren't that great. I found the film to be a wonderful watch, only dragged down by repetitive music and some effects not looking too great.… Expand

Buy HBO Max just for this, if nothing else. This is one of the finest Superhero movie and nothing like the forgettable Joss Whedon's Justice League. Quite simply spectacular. Outstanding character development, exciting action and endearing scenes that restore your faith in humanity. While a little cliche at times with questionable CG and a aspect ratio that can be distracting, the prosQuite simply spectacular. 4 hours and 2 minutes. It follows the same dense, dark movie idea and emo and depressive characters from "Man of Steel" and "Batman v Superman". Even so, this is a much lighter film than the previous ones; so much so that the hours are not4 hours and 2 minutes. Even so, this is a much lighter film than the previous ones; so much so that the hours are not noticeable and they go by quickly. Diana is all an Amazon war, not the **** they presented to us in WW84, Batman is no longer a walking joke, here if he is rude. Well developed characters, unexpected cameos and gory film. The soundtrack is another plus that gives everything an epic touch. Very good movie that should have been released 3 years and 4 months ago in cinema (that is, November 2017).… Expand

Thank you Zack Snyder for bringing the Justice League to life, this is exactly what I've wanted to see ever since I was kid growing up watching the Justice League cartoons. And more importantly, the heroes were inspiring and beacons of hope.

Infinitely better than the Whedon cut. Snyder's action is what makes it feel like a real super hero film. Flash is funny, cyborg's arc has meat, the plot is cleaner, perfect set up for a sequel. it's a shame Whedon's cut ended any chances of that.

This cut is 1000% better than Whedon's. No cheesy lines, no mustache-gate, no non-sense. I can watch 40 more hours of this. This movie is so good!!! I NEED A SNYDERVERSE!!!

If this movie lived in a vacuum this movie was a good solid movie. It's not DC's best ever. It's not DC's best ever. But it also doesn't live in a vacuum, it was incorrectly billed as a "director's cut" of the stinker "Justice League" shadow directed by Joss Whedon in 2017. Reality is however that this is an entirely new movie we've really never seen before, and add in that this movie was really given life by its audience, and it becomes a must see. It's a vastly improved, tonally consistent, far more expository adventure in the DC Extended Universe that is a must see if just for the unusual nature of its genesis and the whole sale rebuilding of the movie that occurred. Beyond the bare bones of the prior version still being there this is an almost completely different movie with even the shared shot having undergone drastic changes, for the better. I just hope it leads to more of its version of the DCEU in the future because this really should have been the version that they released from the get go.… Expand

Amazing and a huge improved upgrade from the theatrical version we received. Motives are explained and backstories are given so we understand and feel invested with characters. I am really not quite sure as to how the Whedon version was approved more than this? Not going to lie though I cried like a baby when Man of Steel OST hit and Superman returned. After the critical mixed reception and box office bomb of 2017’s Justice League, fans have been campaigning for the original cut of Justice League, known as the Snyder Cut, done by it’s original director, Zack Snyder. After years of many fan campaigns, the Snyder Cut have finally arrived and is available in HBO Max. What separate this movie from the theatrical cut is both of them are totally different movies and this movie is not an extended version. This movie is using footage originally shot by Zack Snyder only. None of the footage shot by Joss Whedon (who took over as the director of the theatrical cut during post production) will be use. Another difference in this movie is R rated and the runtime is 4 hours unlike the theatrical cut which is PG-13 rated and runtime is 2 hours.

On the night that Superman died, his death triggers the three Mother Boxes’ reactivation where the first two Boxes are guarded by the Amazons and Atlanteans respectively while the third Box is under the possession of Star Labs. Some time later, the reactivation of the Boxes attract Steppenwolf’s attention. He and his armies of Parademons successfully retrieve the first Mother Box from the Amazons in Themyscira.

Queen Hippolyta warns her daughter, Diana Prince/Wonder Woman (Gadot), about Steppenwolf (Hinds) and the upcoming threats. Having been warned, Diana learn some history regarding Darkseid’s failed invasion of Earth five thousand years ago and losing the three Mother Boxes in the process. Diana meets up with Bruce Wayne/Batman (Affleck) and inform him about the threats they are going to face. Together, they seek out the three metahumans with superpowers: Arthur Curry/Aquaman, Barry Allen/Flash and Victor Stone/Cyborg to fight Steppenwolf and stop him from obtaining the other Mother Boxes.

Meanwhile, Steppenwolf made his base in an abandoned Russian town. He reports to DeSaad, Darkseid’s loyal follower, about the his progress hoping to regain favour with Darkseid, who is also Steppenwolf’s nephew. With progress have been made, Steppenwolf hunts the remaining two Mother Boxes.

As I have mentioned earlier, this movie is a completely different movie. There are no scenes from the theatrical cut at all. That means there are no Russian family subplot, Superman being interviewed by some kids, Flash landed on top of Wonder Woman and more. This is definitely a Zack Snyder movie and his style of directing absolutely matched in this movie. The visual effects are now better and polished. The cinematography is beautiful and many of the shots are great something which Zack Snyder is good at.

All the major characters especially Cyborg have great character developments from the start till the end in this movie. In addition, the cast performance are even better than how it was in the theatrical cut now that many of their original scenes have been restored. Ray Porter, who voiced Darkseid, have done a great job in voicing the character considering that he was an unknown actor and audiobook narrator. Nevertheless, he gave a menacing and threatening voiceover performance in his role.

While the basic plot remained the same as the theatrical cut, some elements used by Joss Whedon such as Parademons being attracted to the sounds of sirens and smelling fear have been removed. Batman does not have some one-liners quotes and awkward moments anymore. As for Superman, he does not have weird CGI mouth and he wore his iconic black suit instead of the traditional suit. This version of Superman is more true to the version established in the previous movies. The humours in this movie is more natural instead of feeling more forced. Other characters such as Darkseid, DeSaad, Iris West and Nuidis Vulko have played some roles in this movie. The most important one is Steppenwolf. The character is no longer a generic villain. He is given a sympathetic backstory with his original intended design as depicted in his cameo appearance in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. He is even more threatening and a gruesome warrior in this movie compared to the theatrical cut.

The only bad thing about this movie is the movie is way too long. Putting a 4 hour movie in cinema is impossible. There are people to who are unable to watch the whole movie in one sitting even myself. Some scenes that did not contribute to the story can be easily remove to shortened the runtime. Fortunately, the movie is split into six chapters and an epilogue so that you can continue watching the movie on your preferred time. I felt the final scene is kind of pointless because the scene look more like a sequel bait considering this is the last time Zack Snyder direct a DC movie.

Last but not least, this movie is the true version of Justice League. If you have been disappointed by the theatrical cut, then watch this movie. I guaranteed that you won’t regret it. Don’t bother staying back for post credits scene because there are none.… Expand

Not only does this film contain the exceptional cinematography that we've come to expect from Snyder, but everything is wonderfully fleshed out in a slow burn that builds and rises to an incredible crescendo by the final act. Everything is superbly executed here, from the consistent tone, the well-placed humor, the action (obviously), the performances, the character arcs and how everything weaves artfully together in the story. I only wish the runtime was more reasonable, so that it'd be easier for me to squeeze in second, third, and fourth viewings in the next couple of weeks. Yes, it was just that good. I couldn't be happier for Snyder that he was able to finally craft and present his vision, and I'm grateful that I was able to see it. Now, let's get this released in theaters!… Expand

Es sencillamente sublime, grandilocuente, épica, abre caminos inexplorados en el cine de superhéroes de DC, es oscura y brilla, es adulta y se permite bromas estúpidas, pero en su justa medida. Es sencillamente insultante la nota de 55 de los críticos, por suerte, los fans también podemos dar nuestra voz, y esta vez nuestra voz está clara. Ya casí 1500 personas han votado y en el momento que escribo esto, la película tiene un 9. Mi nota es un 10 como un maldito edificio. SUBLIME… Expand

My favorite comic film since the Watchmen and TDKR!
Zack created an epic development in 9.5 hours with his trilogy, while exploring many possibilities and setting up many sequels for the DC multiverse!

This version is 100% way better than the theater release. It's such ashame we didn't see this full version in the theater, it would have be up there with Marvel movies.

I take the League of Justice for perhaps the worst superhero movie. It wasn't bad, but let's say it's above average and overall bad compared to others. So when I heard that an extended version was to be made, I was quite excited, because thatI take the League of Justice for perhaps the worst superhero movie. It wasn't bad, but let's say it's above average and overall bad compared to others. So when I heard that an extended version was to be made, I was quite excited, because that was more or less the main problem of the film, because it simply seemed unfinished and as if something was missing. But here it all fit. After all, the film has 4 hours. I haven't seen a longer movie. But I can assure you that the 4 hours are worth it and it is not an unnecessary stretch of the film. On the contrary, the film uses time and will show you everything it should. The characters have more simplicity this time, so we can form a relationship with them. Such a Victor was, in my opinion, absolutely uninteresting in the original version. But this is no longer the case here, and thanks to his story original, I was able to create a bond with the character during the film. But Wonder Woman also underwent a change, or at least it came to me. I'm not sure, but it occurred to me that she had new music in the action scenes that definitely suited her. Batman and Aquaman are quite the same, but it doesn't matter at all, because they already have their film, so we only know about them so that we can be interested in the character. Negative luxury and more or less goes for sure. I won't lie that it's quite similar to the Avengers, specifically the Infinity War. Instead of stones, dice are collected here and instead of Thanos there is Steppenwolf. This combo didn't work very well then, but today it works now, especially the already mentioned length of the film, because everything was done and the film does not seem to be in a hurry or that it is missing something. The only minus that froze me slightly were the black lines on the sides of the image, which do not disappear, even during a delicious event, where it would be useful to see the thresher in full screen. Overall, he was surprised by the end, which still healed the film and is much better than the last one. Overall a huge surprise and Zack Snyder did something incredible. Finally, after a long time, we have a great movie, and I wouldn't be angry if Suicide Squad got such a longer version, but that's my opinion. So for me, a great movie that I can recommend.… Expand

Yes, it's long... but it's totally worth it... I enjoyed every single minute of it... The previous theatrical version of this movie is nothing compared with this one... probable one of the best super hero movies in the recent years...

The waiting was long but worth it Zack Snyder’s Justice League is a surprise vindication with a mature approach to its superhero drama, better-realized antagonists, and improved action. A perfect adaptation for a DC universe movie.

Se nota el esfuerzo que hizo Snyder en la película a comparación de la de 2017, en esta si metieron al detective marciano y le dieron un poco mas de protagonismo a flash y no se vio tan cobarde en comparacion al filme anterior

This movie blew me away. The orginial one, please delete it from your mind. This movie was so well done. The acting from Batfleck was superb. Ray Fisher did a MASTERFUL job. Absolutely amazing!

A masterpiece, the lord of the rings of comic book movie. Worth the wait and fighting for of the fans. It'll be a shame if WB/HBO Max wouldn't continue this epic storytelling of modern day mythology.
