I didn't see anything wrong with this movie. If it was a graphic novel of the time it would have read perfectly. In my head I could see the storyboards and pages. Set designs were on point. Really really enjoyed this. No ‘everyone who isn’t a super hero is collateral damage’ about the ending which was cool, and it felt much shorter a movie than it’s run time. Great acting all around. I would’ve like some more action scenes,Really really enjoyed this. And if a man did what wonder woman did to her “boyfriend”, you better believe it would be called rape. Look at Key and Peele’s “Gremlins 2” sketch and that will give you some insight into the decisions made for this movie. Save yourself 2hrs. Seriously.… Expand

This movie is way too long and way too chaotic. It tries to make several points but keeps repeating itself just to make sure everyone gets it. Jokes are also repeated over and over. It's insulting. Not much the actors can do with such bad material.

Most of the movie feels like they shot a bunch of scenes to decide where to put them in the movie lateron.

Last but not least, the special effects are bad/mediocre at best, sometimes they even seem to be akwardly absent.… Expand

This movie is beyond terrible. Everything is jumbled, the story is bad and also poorly structured. The way this movie has to refer back to feminism and SJW propaganda is ridiculous. There’s numerous plot hole and things that don’t make sense, and the entire film was a complete bore fest from start to finish. The only redeeming qualities this film has are Gal Gadot’s wonder woman and Chris Pine’s Steve Trevor, both of whom performed very well and were somewhat entertaining for the first half of the movie. I can gracefully say though that this of the worst movie in the DCEU by a huge margin.… Expand

It's not as good as the first Wonder Woman from Gal Gadot. Yes, this one is flimsier in every way...but the underlying message is a good one and is essentially Jeremiah 17:9.

La película empieza con una escena muy buena que es bastante entretenida y nos deja ver que desde pequeña era muy habilidosa, después no empiezan a mostrar lo que causaría problemas la película hasta ahí la película iba considerablemente bien, pero desde ahí fue cuando la narrativa empezó a enredarse hasta el punto de hacer que la película se sienta muuuuuuuy lenta hasta el punto de aburrir. La trama de la película era un poco floja debido a que no eran problemas realmente entretenidos y las peleas eran bastante aburridas ya que no parecían escenas de acción y el problema final tuvo una resolución muy mala y absurda.… Expand

Unfortunately, this movie not just sets in the 80s, but feels like it was made in the 80s too. This Movie is bad! I wathed it just yet and i am shocked. The first part was way better. I just so stereotypic. You watch half an hour and know how the movie ends. It's not good over all. This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Wonder Woman fights two people in this movie, one guy who grants wishes and a cat girl(?). There are so many mistakes in the movie that I wonder if the writer was a grown-up. First of all, the worst villain ever cames from this movie. Explaining the concept of the "wish guy": he thouches a wish stone and say he wants to BE the wish stone. So people who touches him can make a wish and it becomes true. Looks great at first, but eventually the guy does just like Jim Carrey in Bruce Almighty. But instead of ruining Buffalo, the villain here ruins the world! Even after he sees a chaos bad enough AND big enough, he keeps going, like he didn't care about the consequences. The reason of it? I don't know... If you understand that, please tell me! That being said, let's begin the other insane mistakes of WW84. Diana wishes to be with her romantic partner from the first movie, who has died. So for the wish becomes true the writer came up with a "realistic" solution (but end it up being insane instead). The "great" solution was to put the mind of the dead caracter in the body of a random dude. (What happened with the real guy's mind? His consciousness was trapped in a dark place for I don't know how long? Really?) My question is, if the concept of the movie is not realistic, if a woman during the film becomes a tiger person, if the jet becomes invisible, if so many insane things happened, what was the problem with making the dead guy appears from nowhere? The Jet? Oh yeah, the invisible jet happens (Wow) but everything about this part is laughable! First of all it gets invisible and it disappears from the radar. Seriously? No-one around though about the concept of the radar? It flies just as fast as a normal plane. (Wtf?) Not to mention the jet was already filled up, laing on the airport for no reason. Watch and take your conclusion, or your laugh. Oh, I remembered more wishes problems. At first, each person can only do one wish ever, than, the second villain was able to do a second wish, for pure convenience of the movie (just a few scenes before one guy was anable to make a wish because he has already made one in the morning hahaha) The concept is that you need to touch the villain to get your wish done, right? Well, not at all... By pure convenience again, this is forgotten or changed (maybe it was explained but I didn't care for). Even so, no reason is plausible for changing this "rule". Oh, I just remembered Wonder Woman whispering in the floor, with no mic, in the back of a TV scenario and her voice beeing transmitted either way HAHAHAH. The biggest mistake of the movie, in my opinion, happened lasting like 40 or 50 minutes. The bad guy TOUCHES the good guy AND SAYS: WHAT DO YOU WANT? I swear to God that I pause the movie right there to think about it. I couldn't believe the script made this villain THAT stupid. But than I looked at the screen and realized that this wasn't the end, because it had 40 or 50 minutes afterward... I'm sad for this scene untill now. (I watched 5 months ago) A lot of other mistakes are visible by anyone, I'm not going to do that. I wish I could tell them all, but I got something to do... a week from now.… Expand

Перва намного интереснее, масштабнее, красивее, во второй части всё это поубавилось, злодеи какие нелогичные, ладно там Макс Лорд, он подчинился камню, хотя он мог просто загадать желание стать успешным, ну или что то наподобее этого, но гипарда (вот, я даже её настоящее имя забыл) она ПРОСТО ТУПОЙ, НЕЛОГИЧНЫЙ, ПРОТИВОРЕЧЕВШИЙ САМОМУ СЕБЕ ПЕРСОНАЖ КОТОРЫЙ АБСОЛЮТНО БЕСПОЛЕЗЕН, хотя Диане ведь надо с кем то сражаться, верно? Когда я смотрел фильм он мне жутко напоминал нового человека паука 2, главная злодейка была неудачная, получила сверхспособности, стала злой, подкинули второго злодея, смерть любимого Диане человека (окончательная смерть), в новом пауке было тоже самое, только с другими полами! Картина хорошая, я б даже сказал то что получил от неё настоящий кайф, но первая часть останется для меня чем то большим, чем просто кинцо)… Expand

The original Wonder Woman remains the best of the recent DC movies, but this sequel unfortunately fails to live up to it’s predecessor. For a start, the central pairing of Gal Gadot and Chris Pine (that was a large part of the first movie) is given far too little screen time in favour of Pedro Pascal’s Maxwell Lord, a nemesis who’s ultimate plan never really seems to make much sense. Wonder Woman 1984 also lacks any real sense of humour, and just takes itself far too seriously for a movie about a superhuman woman with a magic lasso and invisible jet! Even the action sequences are a bit of a disappointment thanks to some ropey CGI. It’s only really Gal Gadot’s captivating screen presence that keeps this from being a complete waste of time to be honest.… Expand

Well, I actually got what she was aiming for, which was a version of Donner's Superman 2, applied to WW's character arc. Yet audiences wanted spectacles, not drama. Esperava algo mais!

No geral o filme não cativou tanto como o ultimo. Se no ultimo o único problema foi o vilão não ter sido o melhor, nesse o vilão até era bom/boa mas os motivos para as coisas que eles faziam não foram bem explicados, tudoEsperava algo mais!

My thoughts on this film are meh. I think the biggest hurdle about this film is the running time. On top of that, it's not too much action. His character hurt the development of Babara. In some of the scenes, the CG is pretty bad, and the third act fight scene is laughably bad and wasted so much potential. Am I going to watch this movie? Probably not. Very disappointing coming from the first film. Now, I'm not too sure about WW3 now.… Expand

Hélas, l’histoire est complètement con, de même que le scénar de crevard qui en a été tiré, un scénar complètement naze à faire mourir de honte les pires nanars passés, présents ou à venir qu’on n’ait jamais vus !

Il ne se passe rien, très peu d’action, beaucoup de bavardages, un festival d’inepties (ineptes), le retour de Chris laPine toujours aussi con, sans compter que Wonder nana a l’air souvent dépassée par les évènements et se voit sauvée par le blaireau (il est où ton féminisme, là ?) et qu’elle a l’air -souvent- dépassée par la connerie intrinsèque du script… bête et naîf à la fois, moralisateur à la petite semaine.

Le méchant incarné par Pedro Rascal qu’on reconnaît à peine (!) est lui aussi une caricature complète de méchant complètement naze et tout cela, tout ce merdier n’en finit pas de se déliter sur deux plombes et demi en tout… Si on enlève à la louche la première demi-heure -presque correcte dans l’ensemble, il reste encore au bat mot deux plombes de merde à se coltiner et c’est pas une sinécure… même en avance rapide, putain ! enfin, même la réalisation n’est pas exempte de reproches et s’avère étonnamment médiocre, y compris les effets spéciaux pas vraiment au mieux, eux non plus !… Expand

Definitely not the greatest. It’s drags at times and it really feels a bit dumbed down without solid creativity. Theirs a few bright spots, fight scenes are okay but they don’t make Wonder Woman feel like the bad ass she is. Pedros character is alright, I feel like he would have been a better side character though. I’m giving it a 6/10 for the bright spots, it’s an easy to follow movie that does at the minimum have a cohesive story. But it really lacks in the wow moments that leave you saying “this was awesome”.… Expand

I don't know who started that WW 1984 bashing, but its way better than reviews make it look. Especially when compared to other super hero action movies, like Aquaman or similar. The script is not perfect, but better than most others.

I didn’t know how much I needed this movie while living these crazy year until now.

Il y a quelques facilités et trous scénaristiques qui piquent :
- l'électricité pour Cheetah,
- des personnages qui apparaissent par magie au bon moment,
- Steve n'a pas de passeport ??
- Steve qui ne sait pas prendre un escalator alors qu'il peut piloter un avion avec 70ans de nouvelles technologies

Les acteurs sont géniaux, ils ont parfaitement rempli leur rôles. Plus particulièrement Pedro Pascal qui est un excellent Maxwell Lord. Kristen Wiig aussi était pas mal mais d'un autre côté Je trouve que son personnage de Barbara n'a pas été assez bien utilisée, à moins qu'elle puisse revenir dans WW3, ça restera un personnage gaspillé.

J'ai été déçu parce que j'attendais beaucoup de ce film et aussi parce que WW est mon personnage préféré. J'ai pas mal de chose à redire dessus mais faut avouer que les 2 premières scènes (Games & Mall) sont juste incroyables. Le score de Hans Zimmer est incroyable (Themyscira, Games, 1984, Black Gold, Cheetah, Open Road, White House, Radio Waves, etc.) J'écoute l'album en boucle depuis sa sortie. L'utilisation de Beautiful Lies était sympa mais la scène manquait un peu d'épic pour être aussi marquante que dans BvS.

Virez Goeff Johns et qu'on en parle plus, ce mec est un virus pour DC… Expand

WW84 the 9th installment in the DCEU and 8th successful movie. Patty Jenkins knocks it out of the park again. Absolutely loved it, Gal Gadot as always beautiful and fits the role of the amazon warrior. Pedro Pascal oozes with confidence andWW84 the 9th installment in the DCEU and 8th successful movie. Pedro Pascal oozes with confidence and machismo as Maxwell Lord and Kristen Wig bounces back after the terrible Ghostbusters 2016 reboot in an awesome version bringing her own take of Barbara Minerva and her transformation into the primal Cheetah. Chris Pine coming back for a reason and intricate to the whole plot regarding the chaos shard. Leads very nicely to Zack Snyder's BvS and ties everything up. nice surprises and easter eggs. Cant wait for Wonder Woman 3.

Haters will spin anything to try and bash the movie but fact is its a hit and they cant do a damn thing about it except review bomb.....which makes no difference lmfao.… Expand

I didn't hate this film, I was just bored of it about an hour in and started to read reviews of the movie to check if it was just me or if it really is as boring as I think or if I was just in a bad mood and grumpy... It wasn't just me.

I didn't mind the acting, a couple of scenes were good but it just didn't feel like a superhero movie but instead a fan tribute where the fan just wanted to make sure it was as inclusive and suitable for kids as possible.

Go see it! When it's released on Netflix or something, don't pay for it.… Expand

If i'm being honest, I actually enjoyed watching this movie when it first came out. The acting was fine but the pacing, the effects, and the very iffy message didn't make up for what could have been. It also didn't make any sense...like at all. When watching superhero movie, it's easy to forget about suspension of disbelief but when watching this movie, there's just so much of it that it's like the directors were trying to make it incomprehensible in a good way but instead made a confusing, muddled mess. Also the message that Patty Jenkins was trying to convey in this movie was a reasonably fine message but can be viewed in so many different ways that it's hard to know what the message actually is, and many people having watched this movie can very easily take the message the wrong way and...something could happen because of that. Other than the entertainment, there is very little of this movie which is not awful… Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I don't normally write film reviews but after reading both critics and audience articles that totally tore WW1984 to pieces, I decided to argue in favour of a film I personally enjoyed.

I absolutely loved WW84 and the first thought I had a soon as I walked out of the cinema was that I actually liked it more than the first one. It is brave, humane, heart-warming, compassionate and full of positive elements.

Patty Jenkins does an exceptional job at creating the character of Diana Prince/Wonder Woman. She finally brings to life the heroine Marston (WW comic's creator) always intended. He believed women were more honest than men so Antiope teaches a young Diana that 'No true hero is born from lies'. Wonder Woman is fearless, strong, independent, compassionate and she sacrifices her own happiness for a greater good. She empowers herself and she fights the enemy in the way a woman would: not with sword and shield but with warm and compassionate words. Love over violence! Even though Diana is a demi-God, has the same weaknesses and flaws of any woman so she doesn't feel like that superhero out of reach but a character any woman could relate to. Wonder Woman is the ultimate heroine!

While her antagonist Maxwell Lord in the beginning appears to be a sinister megalomaniac villain, at the end reveals himself to be a troubled soul who's only trying to make his son proud. Pedro Pascal's interpretation is absolutely breath taking, truly humane and touching. He is the real star of this film. On the other hand, Kristen Wiig plays Barbara Minerva a character that, in my opinion, represents so many women who try to change who they are in the attempt of being more successful and more likable. But by doing so they completely erase their real self and lose their inner beauty. Barbara Minerva wishes to be more like her friend Diana, beautiful, extrovert and strong but the more she becomes like her the more she loses empathy, warmth and kindness until she finally turns into Cheetah.

Speaking of which, I have to say I am aware that comic's fans were disappointed by Max Lord and Cheetah because their depiction is not faithful to the graphic novels and I totally understand how they feel. However, I believe Patty Jenkins and the other scrip writers have done a brilliant job re-adapting these characters not only to fit in a modern narrative but these characters also embody fears and insecurities we all face at some point in our life.

The only real flaw I found in the film is a plot hole in the scene where Steve Trevor flies a modern jet but, considering he was a WWI pilot, it is not clear how he learned to do that. I know we are talking about a fantasy film but it still has to be coherent.

In conclusion WW84 is a film packed with action, very good acting, it is entertaining, humane, heart-warming, full of positive messages and Hans Zimmer nailed the score once more.… Expand

Emotional, Gripping, Powerful story, Gal Gadot and Chris Pine continue with their great Chemistry on screen from original. regardless of if you enjoyed the movie Pedro Pascal is one of the greatest comic book villains in film history. My only complaint is that some of the visuals are mediocre. also Hans Zimmers score will instantly make any movie watchable. Teaches good morals and its refreshing to have a Super Hero movie without everyone trying to kill each other.
there really is no "Bad Guy" just 3 different people all with extremely different opinions and views. the final "Fight" scene is actually a really powerful scene where Diana is confronting Maxwell Lord and she begs him to listen to her. that's a great scene.
Kristin Wiig also does a great performance.
finally SPOILERS: the credit scene with Linda Carter is impossible not to like. even if you hated the movie its a really great scene… Expand

Wonder Woman 1984 depends too much on emotions and pre-deceived stereotypes and roles to create its plot. Add to that horrible acting and bad characters. The movie was definitely rushed. The plot and set-up of Wonder Woman 1984 are similar; they are strong in the beginning but fall apart and turn cliched and superficial toward the climax. A film that contains several defects, starting from the poorly written plot, to the management of Diana's powers, such as making things invisible (?) or flying (if he succeeds in 1984, why does he never do it in the present? Against Doomsday he would have served ...). But the acting, especially that of Gal Gadot and Pedro Pascal, is not bad, indeed, it is even good. Definitely a step back from the first film, but it's not all to throw away, although most of it is.… Expand

I loved Wonder Woman and was blown away by its brilliant execution, and that was enough to make me anticipate the sequel with bated breath. And now that I've finally watched it, I feel thrilled! 2 and a half hours just went by like that without even realizing. That's what a big blockbuster is meant to do: make us forget all our worries, sit back and enjoy the ride.… Expand
