Unfortunately, this movie not just sets in the 80s, but feels like it was made in the 80s too. The warrior amazon is gone, instead we get a woman longing for her lost love and who can't find her place in the world without his man. Though Pedro Pascal gives a nice performance, he can't save this movie from being not just basic, but boring as well. Oh, and for some reason the movie thinks the peak of the female empowerment is when one can walk in heels.… Expand

This was bad, from the CGI to the story. I wish it was better, the first one was good, and a fun watch, with only a little dodgy CGI, but this felt like the death of anything good that could have happened

The only 2 point was worth was Gal and the fashion itself. Otherwise it just waste ur time to catch this film. Or just rewatch the first one for better satisfying.

Suicide Squad got my vote for worst DC movie (at least in recent years), but Wonder Woman 1984 has now taken that spot and may remain there for a long time. This movie is just bad, I thought the first movie was decent, but the sequel is a poor follow-up. I found all the principle characters to be rather uninteresting aside from the main villain, indeed Pedro Pascal's performance was the only reason I watched it all the way through and that's setting The Mandalorian show aside completely. I find Gal Gadot to be mediocre as Wonder Womoan, Kristen Wigg just seems to be herself and Chris Pines really doesn't come off as much different playing Steve Trevor or Captain Kirk. The story is interesting but the movie comes off as a mix of clunky, flat, corny and also ridiculous. The invisible jet sequence was silly, the lightning lassoing was silly and I found is straight up ridiculous when she starts "flying". The ending was rather mediocre. I felt nothing when Wonder Woman had to let go of Steve Trevor, indeed I only really felt something when the villain reunited with his son. The movie is at least a half-hour too long and that is really being generous. The CGI and effects are at least decent, but this leads to one of my biggest issues with this movie and the first Wonder Woman movie: slo-mo. Every action sequence in this movie and the previous movie uses slo-mo all the time and it SUUUUUUCKS! I can't stand the overuse of slo-mo in these movies is just drags things down and doesn't make the action seem anymore impressive, if anything less so.… Expand

I sat down and watched wonder woman and then wonder woman 1984 with my daughter tonight. Oh my, the first was great but what a load of junk 1984 is. Total garbage, I recommend to avoid like the plague.

Editing this review. I was able to watch WW84 for free and it sucked. N9t worth the time. I just paid $20 to watch Greenland an it was way better and worth it. I tried so hard to like this film but it just wasn't happening. I think my biggest complaint is in the audio department. One moment it's whisper quiet - you can barely hear the actors' dialogue so I crank up the volume, then BANG!! Next thingI tried so hard to like this film but it just wasn't happening. Another politically correct lemon. It might have ticked all the boxes, but was let down by a woeful script, poor direction and bad acting by mostly poorly cast actors. Gal Gadot was a standout as usual, but the movie was a shocker overall.

The characters, writing, acting, score, well, everything was atrocious. Not the absolute worst production I've seen but definitely up there in terms of Hollywood garbage.

Man I liked the first one but this is obviously a money grab.

Well they found a way to make this movie worse than the first one. The first one was alright until the ending went and derailed the entire thing, but this film doesn't even actually have a plot. I'm not sure if it's a problem of too many cooks, or just someone trying to get a bunch of points nailed out so that they could create another movie. Sadly in this DCEU the later is the most common reason. Honestly I'm not sure who or how many people wrote the story for this, but it is non sensical and there's literally no point. Nothing that happens means anything. The character even gets a whole bunch of new super powers for literally one scene and never has them again. The consequences of the world almost ending (again) aren't in the future movies, and even after Wonder woman reveals herself to everyone no one even knows she exist. Frustratingly bad movie that's not even worth the free watch on HBO's streaming service. Seriously not even the CGI is good in this!… Expand

4. There was not enough time for Cheetah she was only shown for one clip which was a battle she lost.
5.The trailer made it look SOOO interesting which made it even worse.
6. Acting was okay but writing was horrible.
7.The third movie better be worth this one.

WW84 was filled with cliches and very predictable. It was a very long 2-1/2 hours. I would compare it to Green Lantern. I can't believe so many people are saying they liked it.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. WW84 is a very underwhelming movie compared to it's predecessor.
Let's start with the good parts:
-Gal Gadot is still great as Diana and her chemistry with Kristen Wiig is also great.
-The scene where she and Steve say their last goodbye is very emotional and well crafted.
- Cheetah's character arc was quite good - The ending is not a cliché

Now, to the not so good parts:
- The pacing. The first half of the movie is really slow and suffers from scenes that could've accomplished the same while being much shorter. Also, a lot of filler
- Maxwell Lord is too over the top to be an effective villain. I'm gonna blame Jenkins for this since we've seen Pedro Pascal can be quite subtle when it's needed. The attempt to satirize Trump is painfully obvious and is quite boring to anyone not living in the US.
- As good as Barbara's character arc was, she's completely sidelined.
- There's not enough importanche given to the fact that Steve is hijacking an stranger's body. What Diana and him do to that man is rape and it's not acknowledge anywhere in the film.
- Diana's power loss is all over the place and seems to disappear whenever the script needs it to, also she get's new powers when she's supposed to be losing them
- The CGI is subpar, given the ammount of time they had to improve it whit so many delays, it's unforgivable. Cheetah did look good though.
- The "monkey paw" storyline is overdone by this point, and this take on the trope brings nothing new to the table.
- Where are the stakes ? The whole conflict could be undone with wishing it (or not wishing it) away
- In several scenes, Diana is written completely out of character
- Opening scene completely and openly contradicts the first film
- Even if the ending is original, it's completely anticlimatic
- The movie is unnecessarily long

Overall, a dissapointing entry to the DCEU.… Expand

DC and WB can’t figure it out. I enjoyed the first outing but this movie is in the territory of Green Lantern. “Wonder Woman 1984” is a huge slap in the face for fans of the original movie. The movie starts off relatively simple but not necessarily bad, The movie is set in 1984, Where we meet Barbara (Kristen Wiig) a very dull and generic character“Wonder Woman 1984” is a huge slap in the face for fans of the original movie. The movie starts off relatively simple but not necessarily bad, The movie is set in 1984, Where we meet Barbara (Kristen Wiig) a very dull and generic character introduced in the most basic way possible, has to help the FBI find out about a mysterious artifact, that the movie later reveals can grant wishes. The movie has almost robotic side and background characters that look very uncomfortable. The movie also pretty much just copy and pasted the dynamic between Diana and Steve without adding anything new to their dynamic, ignoring the fact that they have been apart for decades, And when the movie tries to change the dynamic it's just Steve being an Idiot for 5 minutes straight. The main “Villain” Max Lord (Pedro Pascal) is decent as a character and like all characters in movies or television has some generic character traits. Also, The actions scenes have a lot of unnecessary slow motion shots ,The CGI is very low quality for a movie with an Estimated budget of $200 million and I felt no emotion during this movie. I noticed that Gal Gadot seems like she is really trying to make Wonder Woman seem real and have some personality but with all the random slow motion in fight senses and her terrible side and background characters her whole performance is just stuck in between all of these different things that make the movie bad.The narrative of the movie is so generic it made me cringe when I saw it, and In the end the movie ignores all the chaos that Max Lore caused. I think “Wonder Woman 1984” is a disappointment and a terrible sequel to the original movie, I give “Wonder Woman 1984” a 2.5 to a 3.… Expand
