I don't think I've ever seen such a large difference before. It's like the critics are analyzing this from the perspective of emotionless robots with checklists to go through while the users are living breathing humans coming from a living breathing world where "WarCraft" has been possibly the most successful video game franchise of all time and a fondly remembered part of tens of millions of childhoods and young-adulthoods. These things matter. The quality of a piece of art is not only in the art object itself, it's also in the social environment, in the art consumers' expectations. If it fits the audience and generates intense resonance in the audience, it's good art, regardless of any boxes ticked or not ticked on some dead-inside "quality inspectors"' checklists. Expand

I don't know what's the deal with people complaining with the CGI, it's freaking perfect. Either they're blind or stupid, because it fits perfect with the Warcraft universe and with humans. This is the Warcraft movie we all dreamed of, for a very long time... visually.

And although the movie felt great to watch, just with a fully polished storytelling could've been a masterpiece.

And it would be wonderful if this film crept up to the amazing Lord of the Rings. Of course, Warcraft is not the Lord of the rings, I can't compare them. However, this is a very good fantasy. Even the hobbit was much weaker than Warcraft.
Probably a lot will not be understandable to people who are not familiar with the lore of the game, but it does not hurt to enjoy the movie! I don't know lore, but the questions to the movie I have almost was not, and some dramatic scenes I was in shock. The film is very beautiful, orcs are very realistic. Well, what kind of graphics not lost the plot. It keeps the screen on, and after I want to review the film. Warcraft is a great movie. It's from fans for fans, and it feels.
Was it possible to shoot better? I don't know. Ideally you need a series. But what happened is good, the best fantasy of recent years.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. This movie could not even get their characters right. First we are shown how "hardcore" the orcs are. They never fear death. They even like the idea of dying, because if they would fear it, that wont be honourful. But than, when the old magic-orc appears, everyone is a coward.
Honor is their highest value, but their mentor kills the protagonist-orc and no one cares.
Another stupid scene: we are shown a powerful orc. One that was more mighty than others. Still, the human protagonist killed him in 5 seconds. I am not even joking here. Take a lot at the watch.

It's instructive to watch the deleted scenes - two that should not be in the movie made it into the Blueray, and two that would have added real value remain cut.
Note that the blueray has issues on PS4 and Xbox with picking up after an interruption - all you'll get until you clean the internet cache is a black screen.

Warcraft is far from a perfect film, with some wonky dialogue and hammy acting performances, but it is nonetheless a faithful adaptation of the source material that captures the odd mix of the serious and the goofy that is the Warcraft aesthetic.

I can easily see how someone who doesn't play the games would be confused. Then the artistic style, while it scores high with anyone who plays the games it's so outlandish and cartoony that I could see it being a turn off for those who don't. Some of the acting was great like Durotan, Lothar and Medivh, but some was pretty awful like basically everyone else. It general it's the problem with video game films is that they try and fail to capture the scope of the game. They need to narrow their focus to a single narrative or this will continue to happen. You can't capture a 100+ hour gaming experience in a 2 hour movie.

So why a 7? Cus for me as a former wc3 and wow player I loved the locations and how faithfully the universe was recreated. There were tons of props to fans with mention of locations like goldshire, redridge, elwyn forest and that murloc drop was awesome. The shot of Ironforge in the second scene made my hair stand up, I just wish we had returned there more. But again this is me with exposure to the universe. For any normal person this movie is sadly going to score pretty low.

Those movies managed to balance a great deal many kings, kingdoms, magic, and fantasy races and make it all appealing to mainstream audiences. A huge achievement. Warcraft is not likely to have the same mainstream appeal. That's because in comparison the Lord of the Rings movies, it's much dorkier. Based off of the video game franchise, Warcraft is bursting with nerd appeal. Not a bad thing. It's just that the perhaps less grounded appearance of the certain aspects of the world and the stories full embrace of many different forms of fantasy magic as a driving force behind everything is going to be too much for some. Warcraft is likely to be a very niche film.

That's not to say Warcraft isn't a very well made movie. Everything it sets out to do it does so excellently with only some minor flaws to get in the way. For example, early on in the movie there are references to the larger lore of the series that go unexplained. It's not too important as the movie does a great job of focusing on the core plot, but those of us unfamiliar with the games are going to be left with some questions.

The story itself still remains easy to follow though, so long as you have a stomach for high fantasy. Like I said before, the plot does hinge on a lot of magical mumbo-jumbo. The conflict is still interesting though and filled with strong characters. I can't speak as to the movie's faithfulness to the source material, as I have never played any of the games.

The action is also impressive and the touches of humor that are neither too much or too little are appreciated, giving the movie a more human feel. This is also some of the best CGI you'll ever lay eyes on. The entire cast gives top-notch performances. While possibly a bit too nerdy for some, Warcraft is excellently realized fantasy entertainment. It's also a notable high-point for video game movies in terms of quality. With a great story, likable characters, an interesting conflict, and plenty of room for a sequel, Warcraft proves to be a very enjoyable start to what is hopefully a strong new series for medieval fantasy fans.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I got the DVD this past week and popped in on one TV while the other TV was showing the Alabama-Florida SEC championship game. I'm a huge sci-fi fan, but fantasy movies for me have been on the wane for the past 40 years or so. This movie had a lot of potential and kept my interest through most of the movie. Dying planet, aliens looking for new home, beautiful Blue-Green jewel called Earth. Sound familiar? Yeah, we've seen that plot over and over again in the past 60 years of science fiction movies. This time it's a hoard of Orcs using a portal-gateway something to invade Earth. At any rate, it had a moment of two, but I can understand why it didn't do well in the theaters. I don't see much of a market for a sequel, unless it's on Netfilx or Amazon. Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I generally liked Warcraft. The acting and visuals were fine. I felt like I was stepping into a videogame. I thought the film stumbled in that it depended on the audience knowing the backstory of the games. They provided some of the information, but the overall plot is just absent. I still have no idea why Medivh did what he did. How did he become corrupted by the Fel? It doesn't make any sense. It is just setting up the next movie. Expand

I love Blizzard, and for the most part the entertainment products they have provided through the years are generally felt to be of high quality and standards.

This rating of Zero is more a symbolic gesture, meant to offset at least one of the auto-erotic-blizzard-is-infallable-and-my-life-is-empty-otherwise 10's

This movie was, in a hyphenated-word, Fan-Service.

Several other reviewers down here have made far more articulate points about How and Why this was a really...really...Really Bad Movie.

Do I truly believe it's a 'Zero' ... No. More like a high 2 or a low 3 with the weight of that resting solely on the incredible CGI team - but as stated above, this is really a symbolic review and rating meant to - at the very least - offset an undeserved 10 that was based on someone having a massive nerd-gasm rather than approaching it objectively.

One fights for their new home and the others to defend theirs.

I never played Warcraft game in my life, nor read comic book, but I enjoyed this new fantasy universe. Azeroth is the world where this story takes place. When the Orcs planet was destroyed, they use a magic portal to get to Azeroth and make a safe home. But that is where humans and other intelligent species live peacefully. A new race means a new conflict to solve the differences. So the battle commences at no time to gain the power to rule the land. Between the two great powers, who wins is the film to tell us in the rest of the parts.

It was something like 'Avatar' and 'The Lost of the Rings' coming together. Despite having alien race, it is very much an action- fantasy film, not a sci-fi. From the games to film, it was awesomely made which is obviously a latest trend in the filmmaking. The graphics were good, but not perfect, and that's fine, because it succeeds to give the game look than the realistic one. I think that's the point, otherwise no disgrace to call it was inspired by the games or comic book.

I know it is not a masterpiece like 'The Lord of the Rings', but there's a promise like the quality and story and its characters. There's no big names, but these actors who are known mostly for their supporting roles has given their best. Like I said I'm new to this Warcraft universe, so I don't know anything outside this film, but I'm kind of neutral on the war between the humans and orcs. Because one's world was destroyed and they're seeking a new home and the other ones are defending theirs. So everything makes sense from both the perspectives for their actions.

This is just a beginning, there's lot more sequels to come. Though, it's a pity that it failed in America, the native product, but internationally proved it is one of best of its kind, I mean games to screen adaptation. The director of 'Source Code' did a great job and all the actors, including those motion-capture artists. I missed Zoe Saldana in this, to be as another blue or green skinned alien specie, instead Paula Patton did well in a similar role. The character name also very similar to the one from 'Guardian of the Galaxy'. I know it's going to get even bigger in the follow-up, so I can't wait for it. Hope it will release in less than couple of years.

However this film isAs a popular game, fanatics must have been either thrilled to see this or worried to death. With Duncan Jones at the helm most fans should have been in the former camp with his previous works being of excellent standard. However this film is an epic mess on all levels. A script that spouts poor and cliched dialogue. Characters left with little to empathise with. A narrative that attempts to force too much in whilst also failing to bring anything together to form a coherent structure. Acting which doesn't belong on a production of this magnitude. A non-existent score. Editing that offers poor transitions between storylines. On the plus side Travis Fimmel gives a decent performance and the effects are rather good. But this can't save it from a very poor adaptation. There is never a real lead to proceedings so your loyalties don't lie with a single camp, keeping you firmly on the outside of everything that's happening. There is far too much magic and world building that all becomes confusing and laughable and this doesn't help the non-existent plot. This is basically franchise bait. There is no real resolution and characters are still in dire need to grow from the one dimension they are in, prompting that sequels will be in the offing but hopefully these will not see the light of day because this is a rather boring film that I doubt will have audiences calling for more. With the talent behind this project, on and off screen, and a fan base that is global this film deserved so much more and it never once hit half the heights it should. One of the poorer films of the year in what is already shaping into a bad year for cinema. Expand

This is in my personal opinion the best movie based on a video game franchise so far. I don't consider myself fan of Warcraft, Blizzard or Video Game movies in general but I think they did a great job in every aspect.

The thing I like most about the story is that the producers didn't just want to try to please World of Warcraft players directly but instead cared about telling a kind of origin story for the whole series. In the movie you can see some nods and hints of characters and story that seem to lead to the events unfolded during the Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos game which is probably the most story focused Warcraft game.

Regarding "professional" critics: In this era where it is so easy to land a job as a "critic" with even bloggers without any formal film education are being taken serious and are even calling themselves "professionals" 2016 is probably one of the most embarrassing years for these people, especially with fiascos like the Ghostbusters fake universal praise and the hate towards movies like Warcraft. I wouldn’t be surprised if in a few years Metacritic is entirely based on user opinions rather than on “critic” reviews.

Apart from that, it was a nice fantasy-action movie. Expand

I really enjoyed the movie.

Awesome CG, great pace, nice combat sequences.

Also, the lore and overall plot worked better for me than other titles like The Hobbit.

And btw, not a fanboy of the WoW game. It is just my plain opinion :)

I loved the movie. It is good looking, many of the characters were captured perfectly even though some major events were altered to cut down on playtime. I wonder if a series would've fit the story better though, like this they'll have 6 or more movies unless the bumbling critics with fingers up their rear have their way.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. This is a fun movie. The style is unapologeticly fantastical; this and the effort to accurately represent the game world reflect love and respect for the source material. If you despise fantasy and video games (as some of the mainstream critics clearly do) you may not be able to get past this aspect to enjoyed the solid performances and emotionally complex story. However, making the effort is well worth your trouble.

This film absolutely succeeds as a fantasy tale doing what they do best: giving those who enter an alternative world in which they can wrestle more effectively with difficult issues. In this case, the difficult choices faced by the orcs fleeing environmental destruction and having to rely on a leader who is their only hope of escape, but is also corrupt. At the same time, the humans must decide whether to trust those of the orcs who just want a new home, while also dealing with betrayal by a champion on whom they relied. Almost every main character is also presented in terms of their connection to friends and family, and while not all are human, all have an essential humanity with which we can identify and connect. At the same time, the fantastical setting disarms what might be our usual resistance to recognizing humanity in any group that counts as "the other." It is a shame that many critics were blind to this.

The film does suffer some pacing issues, in sometimes feeling rushed, but since Director Duncan Jones has said 40 minutes were cut, I imagine that the scenes shortened or removed account for it. According to cast interviews, that actors playing Orcs spent a month working perfecting their mo-cap technique prior to filming and that they bonded over that. I think this shows, because the orcs all seem more convincing as a community. I didn't feel quite the same connection among the human characters, whic again was aggravated by some rapid pacing.

Overall though, the film was visually rich, and had compelling charcaters and story. It deserved a far better recption than it received. It was a great movie for the big screen, but better late than never! Digital copies will be available in mid-September and the discs are out a week or two later, so if you didn't see Warcraft in the theater, it's certainly worth a look now.

Warcraft is a fantasy film directed by Duncan Jones and stars Travis Fimmel, Paula Patton, Ben Foster, Dominic Cooper, Toby Kebbell, Ben Schnetzer, Robert Kazinsky and Daniel Wu.
The film is based on the Warcraft video game series and portrays the encounters between humans and orcs taking place in different locations that have been set by the video game series before.
I personally absolutely loved Warcraft from beginning to end, the incredible visuals that are perfectly mixed in with the amazing written story make up for one of the best summer blockbusters in a long while. All the actors do a fantastic job here, with Travis Fimmel as the leading character on the human side, who is really good on the role. I personally bought Dominic Cooper as the king and Ben Foster as the guardian who gave a very intimidating performance. On the orcs side the motion capture performances were absolute perfection, with the amazing Toby Kebbell on the lead as Durotan.
Without spoiling anything I was really caught off by surprise by the amount of deaths of the main characters on this film. I have never played any of the video games and I had no idea what I was walking in to but that really raised the stakes up for the finale against the ever so brilliant villain of the film Gul'dan portrayed by Daniel Wu. The soundtrack composed by Ramin Djawadi is also beautiful and epic at times. It fit in with the battles perfectly all throughout.
Overall I truly enjoyed this film and my only issues with it is that the beginning is kind of slow but everything else was amazing and just breathtaking to look at. I am a big fan of the film and I hope there will be a sequel in the near future to arrive.

Ok, first and foremost, I will begin this review by saying that I am not, and never have been a Warcraft player of any sort; meaning, I have not touched the online game, board game, card game or any Warcraft product since its inception. So,Ok, first and foremost, I will begin this review by saying that I am not, and never have been a Warcraft player of any sort; meaning, I have not touched the online game, board game, card game or any Warcraft product since its inception. So, going into Duncan Jones’ third directorial feature film Warcraft, I was a complete outsider amongst an army of loyal and very aware Warcraft users. Unlike most built-in audiences, each and every person who was in attendance of the early screening, possessed none of the typical geeky, fan-boy characteristics I have come to expect from franchises such as Star Wars, Harry Potter and the Lord of the Rings film franchises. So, how did I feel finally being an outsider and what exactly did the audience I attended the screening looked like?

The thing with the Warcraft universe is that everyone at some point tried it and you would never know who is a Warcraft fiend. Young, old, men, women, Warcraft is the type of obsession that could be just about for anyone. So, while I am somewhat aware of the massive universe Duncan Jones was responsible for brining to life on the big screen, I had no idea how expansive and detailed this world really is.

Upon the opening frames, seeing humans battle off against Orcs, and beginning much of the story in a fantastical world of Azeroth, I was one of few audiences members who was just along for the ride, and not for the love of the universe, but for the love of cinema. Having been late to the party with Lord of the Rings (truth of the matter is, I have never seen any of them nor have any interest to), one of the biggest complaints with many of my friends now with Middle Earth is, thanks to the massive success of HBO’s Game of Thrones, violence, sex and exponential gore is what audiences want with fantasy films. The action solely isn’t enough anymore. And while Daenerys Targaryen actress Emilia Clarke’s newest film Me Before You, a romantic drama was playing in the cinema beside mine, I couldn’t help but laugh at the fact that, fantasy doesn’t always sell anymore; but sex surely does. As I can assure you, I may have never seen an episode of Game of Thrones, but you can sure as heck bet I have seen pictures on the interest of Clarke’s bodacious naked bod.

With Warcraft, the premise is simple. Orcs, lead by a sadistic leader who possesses the fel, Gul’Dan (Daniel Wu), sucks the life out of other world’s inhabitants and uses their energy to open up a portal to a new world, inhabited by human, called Azeroth. To the dismay of Durotan (Toby Kimmell) an his pregnant wife Draka (Anna Galvin), they follow along with Gul’Dan’s plans only in hope of finding a peaceful life in the new world. Once through the portal, Gul’Dan wages war against the humans who inhabit that kingdom, putting him in a direct collision course with King of Stromwind Llane Wrynn (Dominic Cooper), and as well as his trusty and noble military commander Sir Anduin Lothar (Travis Fimmel). A fierce warrior and destructive orc killer, Anduin finds himself partnered with the fumbling Khadgar (Ben Schnetzer), a young and inexperienced warlock whose powers have yet to be contained. Advised by the council due to the recent threat of the orcs, Anduin and Khadgar head to Karazhan to summon the Guradian Medivh (Ben Foster) and use his wisdom and powers to help defeat the army of orcs and Gul’Dan once and for all.

Fantasy isn’t my preferred genre of cinema to watch. Being able to capture these films on the big screen is something wonderful though, especially amongst all its loyal and faithful fans. While the world of the Warcraft universe is highly new and almost unheard of to me, I can honestly say that I was very intimidated by its great reach and length, along with its history. After all, the first ever sighting of the Warcraft real-time strategy game came in 1994, when I was only a child. Imagine how much the world has grown since then? Like anything fanatical and with such a rich history, the more you know, the better. Was I a fan of the film as a whole by the time I left the theatre? Maybe not the biggest, but, does that suggest it was a bad film overall?

I believe that audience members, especially ones for this fantastical, built-in audience, is important to consider, especially given the universe’s endless possibilities. But, what is the difference between a built in universe such as Warcraft, or, say, the cinematic universe of Marvel or DC? Comic book characters that have been around decades and whose worlds mix, blend and cross-over to other universes regularly? Nothing really. So with that said, as a whole, was Warcraft an amazing fantasy experience? Absolutely not. At times, the film suffers from straining and overwhelming special effects, especially during its action sequences, its action is brute and forceful, giving audiences a bit of a spectacle overload. Where does the film succeed most? In its glory and beauty of showing off the orcs by the firefight.

Acting had a lot of room to improve as well as pivotal dialogue...weak delivery and uninspired performances made it feel much "cheaper" than I'm sure the bill of production would tout. Some great action and amazing CGI (mostly) kept me into it all the way through, but some very fast moving plot and weird editing caused for a jarring ride through this narrative. I hope it returns with some more attention to pacing and detail as far as storytelling and structure/acting quality goes, but this wasn't as bad as many will have you believe when it comes to video game movies. The film's greatest strength is in the love and care that have gone into adapting this world for the big screen. Its a difficult task to tryAs a fan of the Warcraft games (Both RTS and MMO) for over 10 years now I wear my bias on my sleeve. The film's greatest strength is in the love and care that have gone into adapting this world for the big screen. Its a difficult task to try and distill over 20 years of lore and storytelling from one medium to another. Even more difficult is trying to tell a coherent story from this material in the space of two hours. The film largely succeeds in doing so despite a few stumbles.

Blizzard and Duncan Jones wisely chose to start from the beginning. The story is fairly simple but serviceable. If I had one criticism its that the story is fairly generic compared to those found in later games. But that isn't a slight against the film as the movie is a faithful adaptation of that story. It wasn't until Warcraft 3 that I really felt that the storytelling really became interesting.

The film can be a bit too fast paced in the beginning of the film which I do think may be disorienting to those who are not familiar with the lore. However I do feel that casual moviegoers can still have fun with it if they allow the film to exist on its own. If you can divorce yourself from the idea that the LotR is the standard of fantasy films I think you can have a great time with it and become invested in its characters.

The cast does a great job of bringing these characters to life in my opinion. Durotan and Drakka are notable standouts. Lothar and Khadgar have decent chemistry between them and I would have even liked to have seen more of it. I know Ben Schnetzer has been criticized in other reviews but I actually quite liked him as Khadgar. Another casting choice I have seen criticized is Ben Foster's Medivh. Again I actually thought he put in a decent part as Medivh. I would be remiss however if I didn't give praise for Daniel Wu's Guldan. They captured Guldan's cunning and ruthlessness perfectly.

The special effects are quite special indeed. I really do think the effects are a visual feast for the eyes. I saw the film in 3D and I even liked the extra sense of depth it added to the experience. I never really was taken out of the film by something looking fake or out of place. I found myself easily immersed in this lovingly crafted world.

The score was solid as well. If you have played the games you will recognize familiar themes from the games as well as some original music. The fantastic audio extends to the sound effects as well. Punches feel like they have power behind them and even the sword strikes and magic carry spectacular weight through the sound design.

Its worth noting that there is an abundance of fan service in the film and it never really felt too on the nose but there were some very clever subtle uses of it. Some of these may be lost on casual movie goers but I don't think they will detract from anyone's enjoyment of the film.

In the end Warcraft is a solid fantasy film and one I recommend to any fan of the property. For die hard lore fans there are some changes made to the lore but they too never detract from this adaptation. If you are a casual moviegoer my advice is to just go into the movie with an open mind. Not every movie has to be a Lord of the Rings. I do hope we see sequels so that we can get the Lich King on screen someday.

I myself never played the Warcraft game, but my brother does and he caught be up to speed with the game and movie. Movie doesn't really expand in the beginning. There could have been more 'fluff' added to the storyline (me personally a longer movie is better) just so that you can get a feel of what's happening. Instead they just throw you into the world. But overall, the graphics, the amount of detail, the fighting and also the animations boost this score up from a 4/5 stars to a 5/5 stars. Well, Travis Fimmel boosted the score up as well because he is a great actor in the TV show Vikings as well... so it's a win win situation when watching the movie.

This is one the best video game released movies (way better than Pixels) in a movie theater. Don't let these critics tell you other wise.

And even being familiar with the game word and lore did not help me from being rathed confused 30 mins into the movie. The basic plot is simple enough but the story flow and character development are non existent. The script and and acting are cringe worthy as well. The only thing this movie has, is good CG and good costumes. Anyone giving this movie more than 6 is a idiot fanboy who has no concept of what makes a good movie or story. Dont get me started on ppl voting this a 10. You must really be special... They are probably the same type of fool that thinks the old DND movie was a "masterpiece" cause u know it had dragons, spells and swords and stuff. In short it looks great but EVERYTHING else about it stinks. Expand

The movie delivers on what it promises - orcs feel lifelike and truly become relatable characters, magic is plentiful and portrayed in an interesting way and the world looks beautiful with stunning sceneries. Movie's director Duncan Jones has managed to perfectly captured the essence of Warcraft, taking all that makes the renowned video game so great and adapting it to a format suitable for big screen. Even humor is there and it's not over the top.

In its core Warcraft is a character driven movie. While on the bigger scale the movie is about conflict between forces of good and evil each character has their own motivations and personal struggles. During the movie it becomes evident that lines are not as clear cut as it seems at first glance. It's a great story of conflict and tragedy.

The plot is made easier to understand for those unfamiliar with source material. The movie tells you most of the things you need to know while subtly hinting there's more to that and old fans can pick up those familiar clues. Attention to detail is just uncanny - there are probably hundreds of Easter eggs woven into the movie but none of them are distractive for the uninitiated.

The story is amongst some of the most faithful ones to source material ever seen on the big screen. There are changes but none are so major as to change the overall story, some are purely cosmetic and none are really out of character. Most of them really do work to make the story more fluid.

With all that said the movie is not perfect though. The movie's final cut is a bit too short for a fantasy epic of this scale. It shows in some places where the pacing suddenly seems off and it feels that too much was left out. Hopefully they will release an extended version later on Blu-ray.

Overall it's a great movie that does a good job with setting up the Warcraft universe on big screen and leaves you wanting for more. A delight for any true fantasy lover.

A movie that could've spat on the loyal gamers to appeal to a wider audience and have more success, but chose to remain loyal to their gamers instead.

Warcraft is a marvelous mixture of neat CGI effects (taking into account other videogame-related movies and the fact 99% of the movie is computer-made), a gripping story and comely humor, and while it may not appeal to the crowd that is unfamiliar with the series, it's like living history to those who know it, love it, and play it. A game for gamers, not for your average Joe that goes to the mall with his family to have dinner at McDonald's and goes "hey, boss gave me a raise this month, why not go the movie after dinner?!"

I understand the work and complexity that goes into a games story, and was amazed that i enjoyed it without being too overwhelmed by the deep lore.
So besides it possibly being a little overwhelming for some, It still was a fun movie, with great special effects and acting was fine.
The story grabbed me for the most part, without me needing to know more about the MMO or WC in general

The CGI is really impressive , the story is well written , even i did not know all the things (i'm pretty sure i should have to read one of the books the understand all of this ) but you are carried through the story with more than enough knowledge to understand the movie.
The characters are living and you really feel something for them , that's rare !
The plot , plot twist and 2nd plot twist ; ho , my, god !

I want to know what happen next !!!

Really , it's a shame it is a movie, because you could honestly do a really good TV series like Game of Thrones.

I'm looking forward for the next movie . :D

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Expand

The dustep music went really well with the trailer. When the rotten tomatoes score for the movie was shown, i thought to myself, "29%, is it really that bad?". I watched the movie and i have to say, i don't think it doesn't deserved to be panned so much. Is it perfect? No, but it was fun. The motion capture on the orcs is amazing to look at, the action is awesome and the cast tries it's best to stay true to the video games. There was times in the movie where it was just confusing to me but it was probably because i'm not really familiar with the Warcraft games. If your a Warcraft fan then your going to love this movie but if your a non Warcraft fan, like i am, then you will either think it was good or very confusing and it was both of that to me. The acting was so abysmal anybody could have done it better. The scripting dialogue was an incoherent mess of random words that barely described its richer fantasy universe's history, and timeline providing little explanation behind content that was just supposed to happen and not very well, when it contained so many modern cliches, puns, and gags. The lore was also quite wrong, as this film was toned down for 6 year old's, instead of making it into a niche market gaining its cult gamer status from using more appropriate ratings. The CGI was okay if you consider that its affects were marketed for those 6 year old's, where even the Frostwolves are smiling, and the orcs scratch their heads talking like some other JarJar Bink's am such a dumb orc orc, don't worry the humans weren't any better check the king of Stormwind, white guy with a beard check and all those boxes are now complete, setting the acting, stage, nuance, tone and body language, not at all he has a beard so he can act. Epic fail.

In short this is a hamfisted Disney attempt at trying to turn a dying profit by selling the children more toys as they make another skylanders from using its barbie dolls. Otherwise I have absolutely no idea what I have had the displeasure of watching except for a giant puke fest that has me vomiting. Because there will be pandas and butterflies next time. Not the undead demigods blighting the realm

Avoid, or you will also be left wishing that a dark portal open, satanically consuming this audience
