It is a movie made by fans, for the fans and is clearly a project made with a lot of passion. It has one of the best stories of any super hero movie and is absolutely full of references not just to the previous Spider-Man movies, but all forms of Spider-Man media to a point where I imagine it would be nearly impossible to catch it all. The acting is on point. The directing is on point. The writing is on point and without spoiling it at all, the ending is a perfect set-up for future Spider-Man movies. Even if you've been disappointed by Spidey's other outings in the MCU, I think this will be the MCU Spider-Man movie for you as it does fix most of the issues people have had with the other MCU Spider-man movies. There's also a lot of really good action scenes with some of the best fight scenes of any modern media. This movie is really the first chance Tom Holland hays really gotten to show his abilities in hand to hand combat and it's fun to watch. The music is also entirely perfect. Someone really put some work into the sound track. Speaking of things someone has put work into, someone REALLY did their research for this movie. Every character feels well researched and well developed, including all the characters from the original trilogy of Spider-Man movies and the Amazing Duo. I imagine that as this movie was written, someone had to rewatch those movies quite a few times as this movie gets everything from them right. Even some common Spider-Man related memes are referenced several times through out the movie.

However, I did say this movie was nearly perfect, not absolutely perfect so clearly there are a few minor flaws and I really only have a few issues with it. The lighting in the final fight scene certainly could be a bit better and it's weird to see only 5 villians when they could have easily included a 6th to make it a sinister six movie. I feel like Dane DeHaan's Green Goblin from Amazing Spider-Man 2 would have been the perfect inclusion, particularly to see him interacting with William Dafoe's version of the character. I also never noticed the original Spider-Man theme song in this movie at all, which was a bit of an odd choice given the amount of fanfare this movie has. All of these are very minimal issues though and some may come down more to my personal tastes than the quality of the movie.

All in all, this movie might be the closest we'll ever see to a perfect movie. For any fan of Spider-Man, this movie is a must watch, but I don't need to tell you that. If you are a fan of Spider-Man, you've probably already seen it.

Fan service done well, but the writing could've used another pass. Doctor Strange acts very weirdly and some of the later plot points are clearly only there to introduce some of the later characters.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. There was a lot of hype behind this movie. What was the expression used in the film, "expect to be disappointed and you won't'? That would sum up my feelings about this cinematic experience. There was too much of that old cliche dialog "no, no, no, no" and the same cliche dialog structure in many of Marvel or should I say Disney movies today. The plot was corny, save everybody, win the day and the consequence wasn't enough to justify it all. Without going into spoilers, Doctor Strange's character was way too dumb and was just used to get the plot going.

Not to be cynical but it seems the whole reason this film was rated as high as it was is because of the three Peter Parkers all in the same movie. Maybe I'm a bit biased as I didn't like all but 2 of the spiderman movies thus far.

With the MCU becoming increasingly like a serial TV show, you really do need to stay on top of things in order to get the most out of the film. If you are though, you'll really enjoy this film, as it has heart, is well-acted, respecful and unique in the way it handles the Spiderman franchise.

Still, if you aren't fully committed to the MCU, you'll struggle to get all the nods, references and implications. I'd even say you might miss the gravitas of what's at steak, as this film serves as soft reboot of the MCU Spiderman.

I will add that I feel a lot of the user reviews are a little exaggerated, because if you ignore all the references, the core story isn't that great. Still, it's well executed and sometimes that's all it takes.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. This movie is, even if it sounds crazy, the worst Marvel movie to me. I think that all projects have something to offer, maybe it’s the humor, the visuals, it’s characters, dynamics, action sequences, can be anything, but with this film it feels almost empty. It has very little things to offer, apart from the always great Zendaya, and sometimes the humor that characterizes the new spider man movies. The rest, feels very unauthentic and it sometimes even if the lead is almost in screen all the time, he is actually never the real star, it’s not his film. His journey, which I found very very interesting, especially seeing him with Tony in Civil War-Homecoming-Infinity War and later without him in Far From Home, was shaped and destroyed only so the movie could focus on the co-stars, rather than him. The villains plot was very exhausting, Green Goblin was great (maybe) back in the 2000’s, but right now, feels overused and kinda boring. His character seems overwhelmed by the other, at least on my opinion. Doctor Octopus and Electro shine, as Sandman and Lizard get forgotten in a corner, take on count that Lizard is my favorite antagonist from the SM franchise. When MJ falls and Peter’s aunt dies feels so fake, like, it’s not emotive at all, and should be. Strange was also super wasted here, his character had a big potential, but was used only when it matters, then gets trapped and magically returns just when they need him. It’s not the worst movie I’ve ever seen, but clearly a disappointment. Wish we can forget this ever happened and never mention it again. Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Unlike the 1st two movies, this one really took the cake. Bringing in all the Spiderman together to fight all the villans. All the Spiderman actors did a great job, glad to see Tobey Maguire, Andrew Garfield back in action. I was a bit disappointed with the 1st two movies but I'm glad this 3rd entry didn't kill the Spiderman characters with bad writing. MJ still needs work on her acting, she doesn't know how to project proper emotions. She's feel bland in her acting. Tom Holland on the other hand did a way better job than the 1st two movies. But the movie is really enjoyable. Great action. I'm giving this one a 9/10. Can't wait for the next entry. Expand

This is just a first impressions, so Tom Holland is Spider Man this has to be his best performance by far the emotion in his eyes in certain scenes I just think he gets bette each and every time. Willem Dafoe and Alfred Molina give top notch performances especially Dafoe, it feels like he just got out of Spider-Man 1 it’s great. Same with Molina it feels like he filmed it with Spider Man 2 I just can’t praise these performances. And the action scenes like when Spider-Man goes against Doctor Strange it’s drippy it’s wild and it’s such a fun ride. Overall this is the best Spider-Man movie of all time it has the comedy, the most amazing action scenes, it’s got some cheer worthy scenes and it has the emotions making it the best movie of 2021. Holy **** I watched this on the 17th, I really REALLY want to have a rewatch but I don't want to use up all of my money on this.
This was such a great experience, the first couple of scenes go by really quickly, which really helps with how much content this movie has in it. Really succeeded in what some other movies failed in having this much content without it feeling super cramped. All the villains are great, except for two and if you go see it, you'll know why. All of my problems are: a couple of lines of humor didn't stick with me, but that isn't really a big deal since there was a lot of other jokes I did find funny.
in one shot, doctor strange REALLY looks like he is on a greenscreen, which he absolutely is but it shouldn't be this noticable, it is a little bit like that one scene from black widow, where yelena drops off of the spaceship or whatever it was.
also, in one shot, electro's lightning looks super strange, and what makes it even weirder is that it looks really great in other shots.

Overall an amazing movie, possibly a little bit too much fanservice but i didn't think it distracted from the whole experience.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The build up to this movie since the trailer has been very hyped and for good reason. If you are like me and have memories as a child of watching Sam Raimi's Spiderman trilogy then the trailer would've given you a near heart attack from excitement. My memories of the first Spiderman film with Tobey Maguire have never left and still remains one of my favourite superhero movies or all times, and yes it is very goofy and campy but it is timeless, I have watched it so many times and still love every minute of it, include 2 and 3. As for The Amazing Spiderman movies, they are not that fun to watch, but have some good moments and Andrew Garfield could have been a great Spiderman in my view, but wasn't given that justice which I believe was out of his control. Why is giving my views on old movies so important in relation to this one? Well, I personally don't know how you could not talk about your history with the older movies when it comes to No Way Home, because it is nostalgia and fan service that will make you weak at the knees.

I typically break down my thoughts into sections based on the content but I am gonna do this a little differently because I honestly cannot pick apart this movie. It exists for fans of the older movies and the newer Spiderman (like myself) and puts it into a blender to create a glorious 2 hour and 30 minute experience that makes you shout in excitement and go teary eyed at parts.

Seeing Tobey back just made my day, I never thought I would see him in this role again and I grabbed my girlfriend's hand in the movie theatre and shook it in excitement. Andrew Garfield was given justice for his prior two movies, he was playing a Spiderman that you could just tell he was loving and that carried over to me as well. Tom Holland was exceptional, this was one of the most emotional experiences that this version of Peter/Spiderman has had to face so far and Tom took it on his shoulders and carried it so well, he wasn't a side character to Andrew or Tobey, Tom was the lead and never did his spotlight get completely taken, he was mostly solo in the spotlight or just sharing it with someone else.

How would this movie be without all this fan service? I honestly cannot answer that question, the content of this movie is purely based around fan service in my view, this movie was made the way it is for this purpose and taking it out would mean an entire script re-write aside from a few plot points that could've occurred a different way. For people who say this movie is terrible because it is just fan service, well again I would say this movie is not trying to do anything else other than be what it is, it is completely intentional and transparent, and we are all eating it up because it is just so incredible. This is an event, something us Spidey fans never thought would happen, this movie is for us. If you didn't like it, then that is fine, but the people making this movie knew their audience that they wanted to target and not only were they accurate, but they did it with such grace. If I had to have a complaint (very minor), it would be just the end with Peter being erased from everyone's memory. How exactly does someone like Happy know who May is despite meeting May through Peter, like how does his brain process that. Even at the cemetery when both Happy and Peter were there and Happy asked "How did you know her?", so even the thought of how May was known was on his mind, even if it wasn't himself, you'd think there would be some brain malfunction going on when he tries to remember how he met May himself, but yeah I don't know how it works exactly. In terms of Peter starting fresh without anybody knowing who he is, I have absolutely no problem with that, I am happy to play dumb and not overthink how it works, but just enjoy what is to follow.

For everyone who read through this whole thing and felt similar to myself about this movie, then I send you a fist bump with a big smile, we got something truly amazing.

If you don't know anything about Spiderman, and haven't watched the Sam Raimi trilogy, the 2 Amazing Spiderman movies and none of the Tom Holland Spiderman movies...You should probably watch those first before this one.

However once you put more thoughtIt has all the epic and heartwarming moments that Spiderman fans have wanted since Sam Raimi's original trilogy. The movie has enough soul in it to make you cry, laugh, smile, gasp and make your jaw drop. However once you put more thought into the film it becomes evident this movie is a narrative mess. There is evident plot holes and some characters are a real miss like Sandman and The Lizard to the point you question why they're involved with this movie in the first place having little to no substance. Where this movie really finds its success though is in how it portrays emotions in characters and their character development. Tom Holland's Spiderman finally gained the substance that was missing from his character since his appearance in the MCU. However it's hard to not feel it was 2 movies too late. In conclusion this movie is an epic adventure that makes Spiderman, well Spiderman. It has memorable moments but as a whole is dragged down by what feels like a rushed story with many plot holes and characters more forgettable than a Men In Black Neuralyzer. Expand

Review by Jon Donnis

Following on directly from the previous film, Spider-Man's identity has now revealed, and with that Peter Parker sees his life and the life of his friends starting to unravel, Peter asks Doctor Strange for help. Create a spell that will make people forget that Peter Parker is Spider-man, however when Peter tries to change the spell in the middle of it being cast, everything goes wrong, and now the multiverse has been opened.
Enter some of the baddies from previous incarnations of the Spider-Man franchise, and eventually previous incarnations of Spider-Man himself, and you have one of the best Marvel films ever made and a bunch of Spider-men, although Holland refers to them as Spider-mans.

However one major problem with opening up the past in this way, is it really makes you realise how good the Tobey Maguire Spider-man was, and how terrible the Andrew Garfield one was. Not to mention the Maguire Spider-man has by far the best looking suit, as well as being the only one who could fire real webs from his wrists.

Tom Holland however has cemented himself as the modern day Spidey and being way closer in age to what the character is supposed to be helps massively.

Big action scenes, decent story, old faces and new ones. Potentially a good reset for Tom Holland's Spidey with regards to future films, it is hard not to recommend Spider-Man: No Way Home.

The Good

Great to see Tobey Maguire again in the Spidey suit, easily the highlight of the film.

The Bad

Rehashing old villains seems a bit lazy.

Overall

The best Marvel film in a while.

In one of the MCU's most emotional entries to date, Tom Holland gives his best performance yet as Spiderman, and Willem Dafoe is outstanding in his return as the Green Goblin. I also loved a few of the action sequences, particularly one that took place in the mirror dimension. A few decisions some of the characters made didn't make sense to me-especially Doctor Strange-and, as is commonplace in Marvel movies, there was an overabundance of CGI, but those are small nitpicks in what was an otherwise great film. Tom Holland and all of the other cast members whom I won’t name (whether an enemy or ally) all did a great job with this masterpiece . My Honest Review of Spiderman No Way Home:

It was an incredibly fun ride with great fan service. The plot and pacing is all over the place so I suggest completely turning off your brain when watching this. If you are someone who requires a proper movie structure with depth and groundedness, this is not the movie for you. There were times when certain logic holes seemed too noticeable to ignore, which did hinder my enjoyment of the movie a bit. That being said, as long as you turn off your brain and don't take ANYTHING SERIOUSLY, you will have a great time enjoying the biggest movie of 2021.

The theatre never settled from the moment it started to the last post-credit scene, people were cheering, crying, sometimes laughing, and clapping like crazy every time we saw a new character.
All the actors were great even better than their previous spider-man movies but tom holland honestly killed it in this one, he has matured very much from homecoming/far from home he is no longer iron boy jr as some people claimed in the past, in this movie we really got to see him become SPIDER-MAN. I don’t want to spoil anything for anyone but if you read the leaks and you think you know what in this movie, believe me, YOU ARE NOT READY.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Amazing movie! Something Spider-Man fans never thought they would see on screen, and it is still surreal! I feel as if Tom plays a great portrayal of Peter Parker and Spider-Man. This movie shows the best acting out of Tom across the three movies, and his emotions stand strong. I think also with seeing the other adaptations of the previous Spider-Men all in one movie can stop the comparison and bashing of the three actors. Seeing them together and how they interact with each other shows how they are the same, but also different. Everyone complains about how one actor doesn't play the role to a "Comic book accurate" Spider-Man, and that is a valid point. I feel as if it brings more diversity to how people see Spider-Man. In my opinion, to rank the three actors that played the role, they can each be interchangeable.
Some gripes about the movie is that I never got attached to MCU Aunt May. Even in Homecoming and Far From Home, I feel as if she was barley there. the only thing I can think of about Aunt May is that she's attracted to Happy. In NWH she was very important part and had the most screen time out of the three movies. With that being said, I didn't really care for her death. of course it was a sad I will admit, but I could not connect for some reason... until she mentioned the "Great power comes great responsibility" line. I say this is relevance to when Tobey and Andrew explain how they lost loved ones in their own movies and explain that with being Spider-Man, it is inevitable that a loved one will be lost. In my opinion, I feel as if that's the most significant thing about Aunt May's death.
Another is that this movies has a lot of characters for good and for the worse. Mainly on the villains. I feel as if the Lizard and Sandman had little to do with the movie. not to say they played a bad role or they sucked in the movie, but if they weren't in it, there could have been more screen time given to other characters.
Lastly, I think that Marvel provided too much information on this movie before it was released. If you're a big Spider-Man fan like me, every other week you were looking up videos and articles for how the story of NWH was going to pan out, also if Andrew and Tobey were going to be in the movie. The hype began to run down the more information I knew about the movie. It felt as if I knew 70% of the movie. Of course leaks, and rumor's are inevitable, but with the trailers, I feel as if every single villain didn't need to be shown, to add an element of surprise.
Those are just some nitpicks, nothing that distracts me from not liking the movie. the fact that Tom has empathy for the villain, and wants to cure them is a nice idea. Again seeing the other Spider-Men was something I never knew I wanted. the conclusion is great as well! Tom decides to go through with the spell and have everyone forget him. as he goes back to Ned and MJ he decides not to reveal himself for one it might be hard to persuade them to remember a person they don't know towards the end of the movie, and two, he knows the consequences of people knowing his true identity. Can't wait to see what's in store for the next movie.

I like Tom H as Spider-Man. He delivers a credible performance. I enjoyed the multiverse aspect of bring back the previous flowers.
(Golden Aura) A princess stands here admiring the previous Spideys and villains: a great touch.

My only (logical) gripe: "Make the world forget I am Spider-Man"

...and the world forgets that Peter Parker also exists. Despite any academic history. Despite any employment history.

The premise of disassociation twixt Spider-Man and Peter Parker failed completely and ruined the logic of the entire plot.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. To be honest this movie did alright i would consider that this is not my most favourite mcu movie out there but i don't hate it at all, unlike other people i don't like the two previous movies especially "Home coming" but i was wrong all along cause this trilogy is the origin story of Tom Holland's spiderman. The rating score for this movie is high because of course cause this movie is just another overhyped mcu movie just like what Endgame did in 2019. I must say i don't dislike it at all because they did good with the fan service here and i think im gonna rewatch it when it's streaming on Disney+, but for some reason some part of the story is predictable in the trailer, the moment where peter is trying to catch the goblin grenade and aunt may is there in that same area i knew it that of course she's gonna die and yes i predicted it which is funny consider that it's the major spoiler of this movie. But in the end this is my favourite spiderman movie of them all on this trilogy and yeah can't wait to see spiderman back again in the theatre's later, a job well done. Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Let me just start with this. This movie is not a 10/10 movie. Their are flaws in some writing bits, directing just after the start, as well as both Sandman and Dr. Connors’ parts in the film. What it makes up with is a nostalgic trip that has a well put progression in it instead of shoehorning in the characters into the plot randomly (don’t get me wrong, getting both spidermen was some dumb luck) It takes some underdone characters and fleshed them out through their screen time, (namely Aunt May, Electro and Andrew Garfield’s Spider-Man.) even taking the great characters and giving them a spot to shine once again for the fans. (Doc Ock, Green Goblin, Tobey Maguire’s Spider-Man) the bits are reminiscent of some into the spider verse moments but doesn’t follow that all through the 3 Spidermen moments. The ending was also the biggest risk taken in the franchise since the last two avengers films. Which adds to a satisfaction that is uncommon when stepping out of was once a comfort zone for Marvel, into a wild card that is waiting for a moment when he is completely independent for a chance to show again that he is truly a great solo act. That’s a great part that raised the mark for me. Also the memes were also lol XD so funny wow what a treat.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Never has a movie ever made me laugh, smile and cry all within the 2 and a half hour runtime. This movie was a celebration of all that is Spider-Man. I never really cared for Tom's version of Spider-Man until the end of this movie. No Way Home made me realise that this was his origin story and that due to the many criticisms his version had, this is a reboot. This can not be avoided. But the worst kept secret in the world was that both Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield would be coming back and donning their red and blue spandex. Being a child born in 2001 I was brought up on nothing but Spider-Man, he was everywhere. Every moment in my life has a Spider-Man movie to go with it. Watching this movie I cried, multiple times. Seeing Dafoe back as the terrifying goblin made me tear up, hearing Alfred's classic Ock voice as he fought Peter on the bridge was as if I was back in 2004. The moment I fell in love with this movie was seeing the three of them putting their masks on and running off the scaffolding, hearing each of their unique yet simple screams of celebration as they swing together made me breakdown, I turned to my girlfriend, absolutely crying my heart out saying that this is the greatest movie I have ever seen. Nostalgia is such a **** However, let's take those rose-tinted glasses off for a moment and look at this as if it was its own stand-alone movie. This wouldn't work, 20 years worth of film history all in one movie would never hit the same as someone who has been watching these movies since iron man or later. I am glad that I and many other people spent the time to dedicate moments of our lives to this lifestyle of comics and pop culture. Expand
