I Liked baze and chirrut. Really boring though, nothing interesting in the movie to bring home. Was just Disney's attempt at making more money on the new logo they bought.

The beginning of the movie planet-hops a bit too much, some characters feel underdeveloped, and the action scenes could've been more interesting.

Really fun third act though. Special mention for Donnie Yen and Jiang Wen, they did a great job playing their characters.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Disney's acquisition of the Star Wars franchise was looked at with skepticism when I first heard it happened but first Episode VII and now this? yeah I'm on board. Though the pacing could have been handled better I feel the story was well put together and was realized as it should that there wasn't going to be a happy ending by the end of this movie. They did a great job of not pulling any punches and can't wait for the next one to come out! Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. A gloomy and probably unnecessary StarWars story it is. However the film is so well acted and well done that it's definitely not bad. While there's some pretty bad ass Vader appearances. Which makes us forget the disappointing last time we saw Vader on the big screen in 2005. He gets way cooler lines than "Where's Padme ?" and "Noooooo!" ”
I also liked how they used to bring back dead actors from the original or to make certain actors from the original look younger. They should make a First Order film leading into Force Awakens and use that effect. My complaint is something that hit me after the film. This a big spoiler: Just that after anyone part of the Rogue One team does their part of the mission, then they're expendable like right after. Time for them to die. Which happens one by one after each character has done what they were supposed to. I didn't expect any survivors from the start but the way it was done was some-what lazy.

Rogue One was enjoyable, but certainly not memorable, and for me doesn't come close to the other Star Wars films, especially after the utterly outstanding seventh instalment.

I know that this will conflict with popular opinion, but I thought there was little or no character development, mostly due to the OK performances by the lead roles, save Felicity Jones, who put in a great performance as Jyn Erso. I thought Diego Luna was particularly sub-par, especially after some very positive comments made by trusted friends. Humour was very good, mostly from K-2SO's awesome one-liners and remarks.

Probably the best aspect of Rogue One was the special effects: completely and utterly amazing, IMO some of the best in recent years. Scarif was very butt-clenchy, and had me absorbed from start to finish, avidly watching the unfolding scenes. All in all, a generally disappointing film with some brilliant moments/sequences, but not one that you'll rush back to see.

Despite its middling second act (a problem associated with any film by Gareth Edwards), it then proceeds to a great third act, essentially one of the best set pieces ever in a Star Wars film. Its neat to see it from a different perspective, but the acting, is just horrid.. the female protagonist, is one of the WORST actors Ive ever seen.. The dialog is laughable (even Darth Vader at one point, says something completely juvenile.. Using Force Choke "Dont choke on your asperations, commander"... So corney, and not Vader at all).. The opening 30mins is a constant jump around, with no clue by the viewer whats going on, and who is who..

Forrest Whitacker does an equally cringe job acting, as the female lead.. Basically, the entire movie, is the lead designer of the original Death Star, and how he was conflicted in doing so, and so built in the ridiculous plot to the original Star Wars.. Deliberately designing the weakness for the rebellion.. Its just all around bad, even if it was a neat idea to see the original Star Wars, on a different point of view, and around a single point of interest... It just wasnt good... AT ALL!

I thought that it's hard to be worse than Episode 7. But in reality, it was amazing! It had the REAL atmosphere of a star wars series without the cheesy disney part. Yes, since it is followed by a episode, the ending can be expected, but it really feels fresh and right. I don't like all of the actors, but the acting itself was great! There was emotion, there was spirit, and the atmosphere was kept with the true star-wars atmosphere. It might not be on the level of the old trilogy, but it certainly deserves a place somewhere in between the old and new episodes! One is over-hyped, over-marketed, so much $$$$$ spend on mass advertisement. This one, I didn't even hear about it, at the same time I'm sure I'll remember it for a very long time (unlike the episode 7). And reviewers such as "San Francisco Chronicle - Mick LaSalle" rating 100 for episode 7 and 25 for this... Just would never consider a review by you.. so far from what I think... Expand

The first thing that comes to mind is because of the setting, the characters have no additional "baggage" of the greater series of Star Wars, this allows the characters to simply exist outside of the jedi/sith universe and are so personable, while being connected. I love the main character's story - the nuance portrayed with good people trying to do good within the Empire and showing the shadier side of the Rebel Alliance, this makes the whole Star Wars universe look more grounded. I enjoyed how you leave the movie identifying with the Alliance as a greater struggle, the lack of central character build up highlights die-hard rebel life and sacrifice, a friend called it a Star Wars "war movie" and I could see that. Last, props to the diversity of the cast, they weren't exaggerated stereotypes for the sake of racial and gender diversity but had lots of heart (e.g. Felicity Jones, Forest Whitaker, Donnie Yen). Lastly - I teared up during the last scene, guess you'll know why once you see it. Kudos Rogue One! Expand

What makes the film shine is the characters and story. Much like the video game Halo Reach from 2010, this is a movie that aims to make us sad with an expected plot and it works. The characters are likable, and the main character is one of my favorites in the universe now. The plot manages to also take turns despite its obvious end point.

The action is amazing as well. All of the scenes are well directed and explosive, with everything popping and being a joy to watch. The music was great as always.

So if the story was a little trite no one really cared because they were too busy being wow-ed by the spectacle of it all. But it's now 40 years later and we've had 9 "Star Wars" films, a bunch of Star Trek films, Blade Runner, Independence Day, Battlestar Galactica, X-Men, Guards of the Galaxy, Transformers and God knows what else. And Rogue One ends up seeming like just more of the same and not particularly enthralling.

The first hour is a bit of a bore. I didn't feel any particular interest in the characters or the story until finally someone opened her mouth and started talking about heroes and sacrifice and this kind of thing. But even with the pace picking up in the second hour I wasn't terribly impressed. Even the interludes of robotic comedy seemed kind of tired. So ultimately I'd say if you're into Star Wars give Rogue One a shot but save it for a day when you've got nothing better on tap.

With a good cast and everyone does a good job, but it seemed like no one really out shined anyone. The characterization of the film was the biggest flaw in the movie with almost none. Felicity Jones's character got the most backstory and it was enough to make you care about her. Gareth Edwards does a great job on showing the whole scope and scale of everything just like in his Godzilla movie. The practical effects, CGI, and costume design as usual is top notch. I am a little disappointed that Vader was only in the movie for about 5 minutes. But I am ultimately happy he was in it. The movie does a spectacular job on leading right up to the beginning of Episode 4. Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The movie is slow to start. It was boring and too militaristic.

The lead actress is pretty with bright eyes, but she lacks charisma. There was a chance for character development when she turns from a young girl into a woman, but this wasn't shown. The black guy helped her after her mom died, but then he just disappears. We do not get to see the girl grow up or form any connection with him. She just turns into a woman in an imperial jail cell.

The action picks up when she meets the chinese guy who is blind. He can still fight like how the Daredevil fights.

Darth Vader shows up for like 1 minute, and then it gets boring again with all this rebel planning. The jokes fall flat.

The rebel ships are on a mission to steal data about the Death Star. They arrive at a planet with islands and palm trees. They start fighting. That was interesting. But then all the crew members die except for 1 guy and the girl.
She manages to use the satellite to send the information about the Death Star to the rebels, but then the Death Star itself arrives and sets off what looks like a nuclear bomb on the planet. The girl hugs the guy and then dies, so this movie was a tragedy.

Then there's this short scene where Darth Vader uses his light saber to kill some rebels.

I give the movie 1 star for the lasers and explosions and another star for the action sequences. It has a simple plot without any twists or turns. The dialogue is uninspiring. It still has a Star Wars flavor, so fans of the older movies may enjoy this more than I did.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. [Excerpt from Full Review]

I will do my best to avoid the majority of spoilers, but for the most part the plot of the film is pretty straight forward and simplistic, similar to that of the original film. Whereas the original’s premise was to complete a suicide run and destroy the evil Empire’s operational battle station known as the Death Star, Rogue’s goal is to obtain the plans for said station. This film also really puts it into perspective just how close the Rebel Alliance came to failing every step of the way leading up to the destruction of the original Death Star. Rogue One puts this into the limelight in ways that the original film never seemed to seriously do, and as a result is much darker than any Star Wars movie we’ve watched to date. It may not be “killing younglings” dark, but the tone is definitely a lot more gritty and the stakes are a lot realer despite us knowing how it will ultimately end.

Although this film went the route of the prequels in having a relatively star-studded cast as opposed to unknowns in the lead roles, I think it helped for sure. Felicity Jones is phenomenal and each member of the rogue’s gallery that comprises the Rebel Alliance as well as some of the new faces of the Empire are fleshed out and portray their parts quite well. I was a bit disappointed but not altogether surprised that some of the more familiar roles and faces didn’t play as big a part as I had initially speculated that they would. Forest Whitaker plays grizzled guerilla veteran and leader Saw Gerrera (notably from the animated series), however his role seemed to be relegated to a little bit of backstory, tying the mission to Jones’ character, and tying up Gerrera’s arc in the universe as well. Despite that and despite Peter Cushing being given a little bit too much screentime and this bordering on irreverence considering he could’ve easily made his initial cameo and then the other scenes could’ve been pulled off without his appearance, my gripes are relatively few.

The characters themselves, while not necessarily so fleshed out seeing as this is a one-shot kind of one-time story for the majority of them, played their parts perfectly and seemed to mesh on-screen. I thought the melding of new and old characters was promising and worked much better than it seemed to with the original trilogy characters meeting The Force Awakens’ characters in episode seven. While I’m still curious as to what exactly Episode Eight will entail and what exactly it will be called, I cannot deny that Rogue One will be a success and admittedly deserves it. It has it flaws here and there but a simplistic story is not one of them. We knew where it was going to go based upon the time period and universe’s chronology and history, but even with that linear path set in stone and in mind, the story managed to do a lot of things that kept it fresh as well. Yes, by the end it is depressing and dark indeed, but there’s still that glimmer of faint hope on the horizon that will eventually blossom into the roaring wildfire of rebellion come Episode Six.

I was pleasantly surprised that the film actually concludes virtually with the opening scene of Episode Four, as that really put into perspective where exactly it falls in the scheme of things and also how brutally efficient the Empire is with cracking down on the Rebellion, despite never being able to train efficient Storm troopers in the art of hitting targets. I loved that the cast was as diverse and attentive to detail as it was, as well as the strong presence of Jones in the lead role, shining in more than a couple of moments in the film. I also particularly liked Donnie Yen’s character and would be interested to see some more detail and thought put into the origins of his organization- the ‘Wills’ and all that Force-related stuff has been mentioned before, just look back at Yoda and Qui-gon Jinn’s mention in Episode Three. There were plenty of memorable moments, special effects to make any fan drool, and tiny homages and moments made specifically with other moments in mind. All in all, not only is Rogue One a solid film on its own, but it is a welcome addition to the Star Wars universe and will hopefully prove that even stories outside of the main episodes and outside of the recognized or unrecognized expanded universe are welcome too.

By far the most realistic and possible the most moving Stars Wars movie ever produced; providing an extremely well integration of the first and second trilogies. This movie had absolutely no appeal no the 'stupid humor' or 'cute' appeal often found in the other Star Wars films. After watching the film for the second time, I can state that this is probably my favorite Star Wars film ever produced; due to its new definition of the force and the unstoppable force reprimanded by the empire and specifically Darth Vader. The almost impossible feats accomplished by the rebels, reinforces the 'underdog' feel of the rebel alliance provided in the original trilogy while also explaining how the force controls the fate of the galaxy. This film also had noticeable political claims which makes stand on almost the same level of greatness as the original film 'New Hope'. Expand

However, they have to be more of a challenge than ones that build the next chapter in a saga such as the Star Wars. I think that this could have been better by quite a bit and sadly does not achieve the high standards that some releases have. At one point, it seemed to me that I was watching a sort of crossover between a video game and a film. I tried to compare this with greats other than Star Wars ones such as Speilberg's Jurassic masterpieces, and it doesn't quite seem to measure up. Nevertheless it is an enjoyable experience to watch but not a thrilling one hence the seven mark which on reflection is a little generous. Had I been able to give a 6.5 out of 10 I would have done so

Some characters were well portrayed while others seemed a bit wooden, CGI and general sfx permitting. That may be an acting or casting thing,(or even direction?). I loved K2SO, Mads Mikelson as Galen Erso, and the character Baze Malbus. Felicity Jones as Jyn Erso was strong too, and Bail Organa was familiar. JJ Abrams "The Force Awakens" was a whole different ball game and up there with the best of the Star Wars saga

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. If someone is deprived of cookies for a long time and then they get a cookie - they believe that cookie to be delicious, much more delicious than it actually is. Well, deliciousness is subjective but at any rate they over-exaggerate it's quality, which brings me to Rogue One, which is actually quite a bland film that just cashes in on the franchise. Ok so I like the move away from CGI, but even that was wrecked by their insistence on resurrecting a very dodgy, fake looking Peter Cushing. How do we know he'd have agreed to star in this anyway? Talk about Liberties. So the characters are all pretty bland, especially the lead who has one facial expression for most of the movie. I don't know what Forest Whitaker's up to with that performance either, talk about over the top. Shame he couldn't lend Felicity a few of those facial expressions seeing as he has so many. Someone just make a good Star Wars film please. How hard can it be when you have all that money? Let's have something a bit original, a bit daring, not this spoon-fed pap. Expand

Daisy Ridley should take note because this is what a strong Female lead looks like, She had an actual heroes journey. Mother was murdered only to be raised by a terrorist as a child soldier and then turns into a hero. the Plot dragged in some places and killed the flow halfway through the movie but the final act alone made the movie amazing. This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. TLDR: Director was lazy and didn't build the hero character up to fit with the narrative, so much so that the movie has you scratching your head and the story becomes ridiculous and forced.

The movie would have been really good if they didn't ruin the story. So the main female character's father works for the empire which makes her automatically distrusted in rebel circles due to that reputation. However, to create a strong female character they completely forgot the story they are telling and suddenly she becomes a hero without merit but for some reason the rebels in one scene all gather around her so that she can inspire them with her wisdom as they kneel and look up at her in awe. Now remember she is a nobody at this point, she was captured by the rebels literally minutes earlier and thought to work for the empire and they wanted to use her to connect to the father but here she is giving motivational speeches to rebels that are about to enter battle. The story doesn't make sense. I would understand if she did some heroic act earlier, maybe saved a couple rebels or something then that pure respect and treating her like a hero would have some merit, however she did nothing. She was captured, called an empire spy and then became a rebel hero. Now the story is drivel, it's ridiculous and seems like the director was trying to push some political narrative throughout the movie. But I still recommend watching it for one of the best star wars scenes ever. The introduction of vader to the rebels. That short scene where he fights in the hall way had me jump out of the seat a shout at the screen. It was amazing. I'm not a huge star wars fan but that single scene was the best thing I've seen out of all the movies

I know GL's Star Wars movies weren't great, and sometimes they weren't even good, but they had heart and a feeling you were in a familiar universe. They felt coherent. Rogue One, on the other hand, felt like a hotchpotch of plagiarism from previous Star Wars movies, and everything plus the kitchen sink thrown in to try and create settings/characters. And BTW, resurrecting the past via CGI does not work. Disney, if you want to make a Sci-fi movie, make one, create something new and develop your own mythos. It did say that they did stole it in the opening credits of A New Hope but nobody ever knew how they did it. Well, almost 40 years later, we FINALLY know how they stole the Death Star plans. This is another Star Wars Prequel that you will ACTUALLY enjoy. The action was very incredible, the Darth Vader hallway scene and the final battle were the best action scenes. The characters are likable, even though not memorable. The CGI was awesome and they knew when to put it in there and not to put it in there. Speaking of CGI, they did pretty good with the CG Tarkin and the actor that did the motion capture and the voice for him did a good job impersonating Peter Cushing, who played Tarkin in A New Hope. Peter Cushing passed away in 1994 but Tarkin was a major player in the creation of the Death star and they knew they needed Tarkin. They also did a great job with the CG Leia, it really looked like she was there. They didn’t need to hire a person to do the voice because they used archive recordings from A New Hope for her voice. There is a sad moment in the movie but i won’t spoil it or anything. It’s obvious that this isn’t the best Star Wars movie and they can never beat the first two Star Wars movies but it’s still a great Star Wars movie. Go ahead and watch it, you’ll have an epic time. What I found was a cliche fest that didn't bother to create an atmosphere or develop its characters. This movie is all about the final battle, which is OK, but unfortunately there's half a movie before it.

The first part of the movie, where the development should be, is soulless exposition. WE'RE HERE, ON THIS PLANET, AND THIS HAPPENED, OH ANOTHER PLANET, THAT HAPPENED, ANOTHER ONE, THIS IS HAPPENING RIGHT NOW! It really feels like they went through a checklist of what they wanted to tell the audience and did the minimum effort possible to inform us. We hop from location to location, before we can even start recognizing each one, being told what we should be told and on to the next item on the checklist. A bunch of characters enter the story with no backstory, the starting ones have sudden changes of heart with no explanation. This first part needed to be a 3-hours movie or a miniseries to decently introduce everything they want to introduce for the final battle, but it's only part of a 2-hours movie and got cut to show us the bare minimum, and that decision is what ruined this movie.

The final battle is actually entertaining. Completely predictable, cliche and sometimes nonsensical - after you watch it, ask yourself how the male lead got out of where we last saw him and up to the place where he saves the female lead - but it's good CGI and lots of explosions in a beautiful location, what's not to like? In fact this movie would be easily a 7/10 if it started directly at the battle, without wasting our time before it.

This is a movie made to profit from nostalgia. If you're not a rabid fan, don't waste your time. Or go directly to the final battle scene.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I am not sure what to think of this movie because I was tired when I saw it. I did not know it was a spin off. I suppose for younger viewers they would love it. My title for this is "Mixed Nuts" because of the superimposed imagery of Darth Vader, Prince Leia, and others. Again I do not remember mention of Jedi Knights. The force was mentioned and one interesting character with it. For those who liked it, que sera sera. May the blessings Be Expand

The final sequence of this movie was......I can't even describe! is not a 10 for me because of the first act and lack of development for Jyn and the captain, Donnye Yen and K2 were amazing.

I am old school and one of those people who rejects the special editions and the 3 prequels as a horrible departure from the first three films. I place this film solidly at the number 2 spot in my favorites, behind Empire.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Pros:
-Star Wars
-large scale
-Nostalgia
-Darth Vader
-Grand Moff Tarkin
-Princess Leia at the end.

Cons:
-Totally uninspired and predictable story (nothing is a surprise in the film)
-Lack of character development to the point where you really don't care about the characters at all
-Questionable casting for some of the roles (not all)
-Felt like a cashgrab

Overall I didn't enjoy this movie at all. It felt rushed and by the end I was more then happy I was leaving the theater. I'm a big Star Wars fans and really enjoyed The Force Awakens but this movie was an absolute bummer in my honest opinion. If you're a big movie buff this movie has the potential to make you cringe over and over again throughout the entire film.

It starts with the iconic "A long, long time ago. In a galaxy far away." followed by... absolutely no text roll. Instead we are treated to a scene about a family getting invaded by some death troopers and an imperial officer whos backstory was never completed. Cut to present day and nightmares and we get... a character who is an jackass, backstabbing his own informant... A female protagonist who has absolutely zero clue how to act, a cyborg jihadist, who looks a lot like morgan freeman, who is never really expanded upon, and a semi-decent action sequence... Lets not forget the child standing in the middle of the street crying, with zero movement... I'm pretty sure a child, who is caught in a fire fight, is going to curl up into a ball on the side of the street... NOT SIT THERE CRYING WITH ARMS STRAIGHT TO THEIR SIDES, IN THE MIDDLE OF THE STREET!!!!!!

In the end credits, they tout they proudly used a casting agency in their movie... STOP USING THEM DISNEY!!! THEY ARE TERRIBLE AT AND THEY HIRE GARBAGE ACTORS!!!!!!!

Tarkin is obviously CG, it looks absolutely terrible... not sure why they couldn't adapt a story around Tarkin and just cut him from the entire thing... But hey, Lucas said the expanded universe isn't canon so Disney can have "more creative liberties"... How's that working out, Disney? The two star wars movies you released were GARBAGE!!!!

The battle scenes near the end and the minute and a half of Darth Vader going Sith Lord on the rebels was good, but the rest of the movie... The real kicker here is... no Kyle Katarn? Disney.. **** OFF! You are doing a great injustice to the franchise!

Rogue one's cast has more in common with Han Solo than with a Luke Skywalker or Princess Leia. The message of the movie: little acts of bravery can have important consequences.

The MacGuffin that makes the movie go is to find the weakness of that big death star moon build by the father of Jen. Find the father, find the weakness. A message from dad reaches the rebels in the form of a pilot and so Jen has to be found as to gain access to dad by way of Saw Gerrera, a rebel so extreme that even the Rebel Alliance frowns on him. Since he happens to be Jen's surrogate father it might be that he listens to her instead of pulling the trigger.

Does that sound overtly complex? Well, it does, but if you just tag along with the movie it is just one of points in the tale that you get dragged along. And tag along is the only thing that you can do as the movie does not let go. I would say, it keeps almost the same frantic pace as that crazy movie Fury Road. And that is the main weakness of this movie. Despite interesting characters there are too many of them and not enough time for any of them. The upshot is that you don't care if someone sacrifices his life, which happens a lot in this movie. They join up and they get killed. Next! Even when there is an important emotional moment in the movie it quickly gets trampled over in a desire to keep the pace. Without some dwelling on emotions heroes become two dimensional figures and their sacrifices have no emotional impact.

Still, Rogue One one is one of the better Star Wars movies in my opinion. It would have been better if there had been some more time spend on character development and less on jumping from one place to the next out of fear that some moments of reflection will scare the audience out of the theater. A pity because the essence of this movie: little people can bring hope loses a lot of its emotional currency.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I've been a huge fan of Star Wars since I was a child, since the day I saw the first installment and my mind was blown. I've loved almost all of them (I like Episode 1 and 2 but they're nowhere near as good as the rest of the films) but Rogue One is a piss poor Star Wars movie and a **** movie in general. Let me start off by saying the things I liked about the movie. - Good acting
- Great visuals and CGI
- Great settings - Ben Mendelsohn as Orson Krennic
- Alan Tudyk as K-2SO

Now here are the things I didn't like. - Boring characters outside of Orson and K-2SO
- Boring script and poor writing
- Terrible pacing throughout
- Darth Vader's cheesy joke
- Little to no mention to other films in the series
- Plays everything too safe - Not one Jedi in the film
- The actions scenes look great but nothing important really happens in them
- All of the action scenes are basically the same as the previous action scene
- Overall cheesiness throughout

Now, it's not a terrible movie but it's not good. It was so boring that my girlfriend fell asleep for the last half hour and I almost fell asleep in the middle. I don't think I've ever wanted to go to sleep during a Star Wars film to get out of it. My only suggestion is to find this movie at a Redbox or something and try it yourself but do not go into it with high expectations.

It's an OK movie, with some great scenes. As a whole the movie is a mess, with weak story. The acting is great but the characters aren't very interesting. The villain is weak as a character, even though the acting is good.

Someone was not paying attention to scriptA film only Star Wars fanboys will enjoy, 'Rogue One' seems like a film that was cobbled together from a grab bag of script starts that do not seem to fit together and have too many missing pieces. Someone was not paying attention to script continuity resulting in many lost opportunities to tell a really good story filled with emotional content. It is telling that despite the very good cast, the most memorable characters are all secondary to the main plot line. All other characters are often forgettable. Donnie Yen is a standout as a blind samurai as is Jian Wen as his rebel sidekick. Both of these actors connect with the audience. The rest of the cast tries hard but do not ever reach the emotional resonance of the original Star Wars trilogy cast members. Forest Whitaker is wasted as a mentor and father figure of Jyn Erso, a role you would never guess at from the limited screen presence that he occupies. Instead you will ask yourself 'Who was that?' I suspect that he was part of a larger story that was never filmed. Felicity Jones role as Jyn Erso was also too short to allow the viewer to identify with what should have been the film's main character. The film is also plagued by poor editing with many scenes cut in sequences that will confuse you. However the film excels as a good special effects extravaganza and looks very good on the screen with the exception of the ghoulish use of CGI for 1 dead actor. Too bad the story is not nearly as compelling as the visuals. The best part of the film is the last 30 minutes that successfully duplicates the first Star Wars film 'A New Hope'. IF you can get beyond the overly complicated plot of the first hour or so, you will definitely like the rest of the film.
The production makes several crucial errors. Perhaps this was due to interference from Disney Studios known for micromanaging film productions. For example, the original Star Wars films was designed to show a used fighting force of space fighters that have been dented and scuffed up. This film has changed 'used looking' to 'dirty and unkempt'. Everything is dirty, the ships, the towns, and the people. If you ever were in the military, you would know that scuffs are inevitable but dirt is unacceptable.
