This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Jurassic World is more science fiction than the first Jurassic Park. I mean, we have the "Dr. Frankenstein" Dr. Henry Wu that I found surprisingly the true villain in the movie. The computer animation could use a little work, but it sure does look better than the Lost World does. I loved to see the dinosaurs, and even the new hybrid looked pretty cool! It is sure worth looking at it in 3-D, and it will more than likely have your heart pounding in some scenes. The raptors I can't understand, though. They are not near as fierce as they are in the first, and they look different. It's not like Jurassic Park 3 though. They looked ridiculous. Some people think this is a monster movie, but I think it is a movie with our relationship with animals. Some people don't see that, but I do. And Jurassic World was very well made. Expand

Loud more than anything, Jurassic park strikes out with the third sequel in the the Jurassic park franchise serving as more of a satire of the original rather than a respectful follow up. Movie goers will suddenly find the lost world didn't seem as bad as you look in shame upon the big screen, but hey what else can you expect from a "summer blockbuster" or in my geographical location "winter blockbuster" other than load noises and expensive CGI, surely not interesting characters or a plot pulled out of someones ass, of course not. With the little things to look forward to being the occasional nod to the original film and the great performance of Chris Prat. There is no better way then to describe this film than in the words of Shakespeare as a film full of "sound and fury signifying nothing" Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The movie is a nostalgic feast of epic proportions. It's beautifully made, its plot is generic but doesn't fail to entertain and Pratt and Howard dazzle, and the climatic finale fight sequence is mind-blowing and the best fight scene in the Jurassic Park franchise. One of the years very best films. Expand

But the story concluded made me feel like it was Godzilla 2014. The first Jurassic park is no doubt the best and the two others were bad. This one finds itself in the middle. If you were a fan on the original you will be pleased and if you were not a fan then might not like it. References are the best especially if they are not canon. Bringing back things no matter how small make you look back on your childhood after watching this. But in every now and then action movie there has to be a child actor for the kids. But for once make a movie without kids and just make the badassery with Chris Pratt and stop luring away from the action to something we don't care about. What we want in a dinosaur movie is dinosaurs. Expand

While I enjoyed watching Jurassic World, I felt it took an approach that was chiefly targeted towards kids.

Historically, the Jurassic Park series had a great foreboding nature consistent right through to the end of the films. By contrast, whenever Jurassic World came close to achieving this standard, it was undone by silly, kiddish, slapstick humor. The seriousness of the theme deteriorated further by the director's insistent desire to make dinosaurs and humans work together in ways never thought possible. This of course goes against one simple premise Jurassic World's predecessors consistently preached, there is no survival, there is no cooperation, it is survival of the fittest.

The approach they took to the film was however refreshing and provided a new look on an already well covered pre-opened park.

Its a bit of fun where one can switch off and enjoy the ride.

I was quite surprised at how short the film lasted, and a bit disappointed at how weak it was in comparison to the other Jurassic Park movies.
I had really hoped that Jurassic World would be unique, however, without the several layers of amazing cgi action, there isn't much content otherwise.
In summary, a perfect 'popcorn' blockbuster, bursting with scenes of truly brilliant animations and effects, which I've got to say, are stunning. Sadly, the depth of the storyline was less than amusing, and I will be looking optimistically forward to a better film in the future.
Nonetheless, a proper summer hit!

Not that this line tears down the entire movie, but the dialogue is so mediocre in this movie it makes me wanna punch myself. Thankfully, that's not much of a problem, as this movie delivers stable performances from Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard and Vincent D'Onofrio (funny enough these guys already played different Marvel characters) and offers enough narrative thrills to entertain. I gotta say though, there are some dumb people in this film. The guy near the end who opened the van's door when the raptors were on the loose? Yeah, why the hell did he do that? Anyway, this is really a solid movie and I would recommend to anyone who's a fan of monster movies or Jurassic Park trilogy.

7/10.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. This is honestly the best movie I have ever seen! And I am a big fan of the other JP movies! Chris Pratt was awesome and so was the rest of the cast. My only complaint is how unrealistic it was, like when Owen was riding his motorbike in the bush with raptors running along side him, and there were no bumps...in the bush...COME ON!!!! But that aside it was extremely entertaining. Although, it is probably not suitable for younger audiences. I am 14 years of age and did not find it at all disturbing. It did not show anyone get eaten but did show blood. Overall this is a truly terrific movie that does the original Jurassic park proud. Expand

"Jurassic World" 10 Scale Rating: 7.0 (Good) ...

The Good: Chris Pratt is on fire right now, and it's easy to see why. His screen presence and charisma really shine through here and he's become a bona fide leading man. Like it's predecessor 22 years ago, Jurassic World has effects that are ahead of it's time and were absolutely dazzling. Like the first film, I expect the look of this film to stand the test of time. Initially I was dubious about Pratt's character and his ability to "train" the raptors. That aspect was actually very well done and realistic ... well ... as realistic as such a film can be. They were also able to explain why the dinosaurs and their appearance have not progressed with what science has learned. I appreciated that and the explanation made sense. No feathers on the dinos, but the reason why was completely acceptable. Ultimately, Jurassic World is a solid action film. It's a good start to a re-launched franchise and a fun popcorn flick.

The Bad: A handful of things prevent the film from truly being great though. For starters, despite the decent build up, the story unravels and makes less sense. After all that occurred in the previous films, the people behind the dinosaurs and the park itself are still careless and greedy. It's a story beat that I wish would stop repeating itself. On that same note, several scenes are repeats of things we have already seen in the original trilogy. I wouldn't mind an ode or two, but it seemed to happen far too often. I would have liked a little more originality. Lastly, the supporting cast was hit and miss. Bryce Dallas Howard was horrid in a lead role and I kept wanting her to get eaten. She was vapid, unintelligent, and annoying. The children (placed in the movie to be saved ... repeatedly) were also uninteresting and somewhat off-putting. Like I said, it's a solid Summer film, but it could have been so much more.

The mindlessness of it completely removes all the tension from the film. Any time the film gets you close to the edge of the seat, it firmly pushes you back into it by terrible plot turns or cheesy dialogue.

The original movie applied it's pseudo-science, its laughs and its sentiment with deft hands. This one slathers it on with complete disdain for the intelligence of its audience.

The best thing about the film is the visuals, particularly the dinosaurs which look and sound great.

I started looking at my watch pretty early on. I thought the point of movies like this was to give the audience the feeling of "What if?" -- In this case what if humans recreated dinosaurs and opened a theme park and the dinosaurs escapedI started looking at my watch pretty early on. I thought the point of movies like this was to give the audience the feeling of "What if?" -- In this case what if humans recreated dinosaurs and opened a theme park and the dinosaurs escaped their enclosure? How would you feel? How would you react? What could go wrong?
The first Jurassic Park did a great job of painting how different individuals would react in that situation. Remember the genuine terror those kids felt? -- screaming and exhausted and frightened. The fear in Sam Neil's eyes. The lawyer who leaves the kids to fend for themselves. Anyway, I could go on. The point is all the characters showed a range of emotions that the audience could relate to. They are the emotions we believe we would feel in such a terrifying situation. The Lawyer represented our baser urges of wanting to run, in spite of those we leave behind. Sam Neil represents responsibility of those he's been entrusted with. Laura Dern, represents a woman's maternal instincts. Wayne Knight's feeling of ingratitude and greed. So we live vicariously for two hours through those characters because we understand the way they feel... even the baser emotions of the bad characters.
In sharp contrast, Jurassic World treats every character like the two dimensional page it was written on. There's no genuine fear displayed. There's no feeling of "Oh that's how I would react". I mean when Chris Pratt is under the car when the I-Rex escapes and he just looks at that guy for a moment before the guy is eaten, I couldn't help but feel if that guy was Bryce Dallas Howard's character, then Pratt's character would have tried to distract the dinosaur, or at least do something... anything. Instead he just watches as the I-Rex finally eats him. Not much of a hero, but the character that was eaten was only a bit player, so his death means nothing. And that's the problem: every death in this movie means nothing. It's barely acknowledged when people start being killed. You would think even one death should have some effect on Bryce Dallas Howard's character but she remains unaffected. Oh wait a second, she did cry when she came across that dying dinosaur. An emotion that had no development whatsoever -- it just suddenly appeared. Nice to see she can cry at the death of a dinosaur but not an ounce of evident remorse when people started being killed.
We as the audience don't just go to observe the unraveling of the plot, we go to experience every scene vicariously through the characters. For that vicarious feeling to work we need to relate to the characters emotionally. The same way we get emotional when watching our team play a game of football or basketball etc. We're emotionally invested in our team, so it means something to us. Watching a game without our team playing doesn't have the same effect on us. On top of that we usually have a favorite player who we're even more emotionally invested in. He or she is usually the player that does the things we believe we would do if we had the opportunity and ability. We get even more emotionally invested in the player if he or she is a great person off the field -- especially if they're funny and charismatic. Again we're feeling "I want to be like him or her". Same goes for characters in a movie. The hero has to be a person who does the right thing, no matter what the cost. Pratt's character made no effort to save that poor guy. And the fact is he didn't even have to save him, but he had to try to save him. Anyway this is just one example.
Bryce Dallas Howard's character has no redeeming qualities until near the end of the film. She's given the same aloofness that Sam Neil's character had in the first film when it comes to kids, but Sam Neil was given the opportunity early on to show that he has a heart of gold.
The moping teenager was a chore to watch -- what was the point of having a moping teenager who does practically nothing in the film other than mope? Oh he fixes a car, so teenagers are useful after all was the message I guess. Is the point to have a character for each age and gender demographic? When I was a kid I watched mainly characters in their 30s and 40s -- I didn't need a character my own age to vicariously experience the events of the movie through. Nor did I need a male representative when I was watching Ellen Ripley outsmart and slaughter aliens. I was happy to experience the film vicariously through her, despite the fact she is a woman and I'm a man. I'm not saying don't have them in the movie, I'm saying do have them in there, but represent them accurately and entertainingly.
It seems, it's not about having a great story anymore; it's about trying to represent every possible demographic, but only to a point that couldn't possibly be offensive to any individual in those demographics.
Is it at least fun? Fun is watching an entertaining movie. It's not fun feeling bored because the movie was emotionless, uninvolving and just so poorly written.

TL;DR: If you like youtube videos of dinosaurs punching other dinosaurs in the face, this film may entertain you - if you can switch of your logical thinking so you don't go: "Wait, why ...?" or "Wait, what ?"
If you prefer a good story arc, good characters or or at least decently portrayed dinosaurs, you may spend your money better somewhere else.

After seeing it at XKCD, my expectations weren't high, but my friends wanted to go. Sadly, the film is quite good at expectation limbo.

Strong points:
- some good CGI, though often Jurassic Parc looked better and sometimes the movement didn't look like actual animals but more like gummisaurus
- If you like to watch videos of people in theme parcs, then this is for you; in the first 60 minutes, you have this a lot
- 1 characters I liked (Omar Sy alias Barry - why didn't he have more screen time than 5 minutes?)
- I liked the idea of the raptor-whisperer, though it became ridiculous in the last 45 minutes - action feeding on plot, destroying the sense of all former exposition

Weak points:
- The musical score - just copy from the first one! Instead 2 min of the original, most of the time mediocre, and sometimes so bad you notice ("And in the blue corner, Mr. T.S. Reeeeex *fanfare*)
- The plot is like swiss cheese (admittingly, the original one had some problems too, but often it was at least try to provide a reason and the pathing was so well crafted that one didn't wondered about the actions all the time)
- Dinosaurs are, literally, terrifying - they don't need to be concrete-breaking, camouflaging, suicidal gremlin-monsters. And though I can accept that a potentially social animal can learn how to use a door handle, but you get a headache when a giant turkey outsmarts 1 manager, 1 animal trainer and 15 security NPCs (ok, the latter nicely grouped together and used essentially pointy sticks = close combat weapons against a 10m dinosaur, I guess they weren't the problem)
- too many unnecessary (=emotionless) deaths of NPCs and small characters
- Spoiler: There is not 1, but 4 pathetic endings: one involving Mr Pratt having pink lip gloss, another one dino-dino-human-giant-water-saurier team work, with concluding imaginary hat tipping and fist bumping (it was only not in the movie because T-Rex forelimbs were too short).

If you want to read other reasons why I consider this one of the worst films I've seen in a while, you may read shadowsfall444, Alan2306, jblac02, ...

What could have done to make it a decent film even without better dialogue or characters:
- cut out unnecessary characters (parents, assistant, pig-guy, control room girl...)
- cut out unnecessary deaths
- cut out unnecessary side plots
- copy+paste original score
- portray dinosaurs with state-of-the-art science (you may make them smarter than a chicken, but give them feathers and don't let a nude eagle lift a cow!)
- 1 or max 2 endings should be enough (see the original)

I personally prefer JP3, and if it is only for Sam Neill acting. Would have given it maybe a 3, but some reviews just smelled like payed reviews to me, and I think the 59 critics rating is more to the truth.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. You know, I admit I was skeptical before going to see this movie, simply because of the fact that the previous sequels were terrible. But I was pleasantly surprised. Better plot, better acting, better direction. The characters were believable, the kids were as likeable as Lex and Timmy were in the original. It is what you expect from Steven Spielberg. I was wondering if they were going to include a cameo by any of the characters from the original, and they did, although it was a minor character. Remember the smug Asian scientist in the lab in the first one, who said, "Are you implying that a group composed entirely of females will...breed?" He is in this one also, 22 years older, still working in the lab. Lots of references to the original movie that felt nostalgic. I also noticed that some scenes must have been filmed at Universal Studios (This was a Universal movie) - we just returned from vacation during Spring Break where we visited Universal Studios, and we immediately recognized the long, steep escalator that takes you from the lower level where the JP ride is, to the upper level where the rest of the park is.

I did count about 3 plot holes, but what's a JP movie without plot holes, right? However, these were easy to ignore, and I didn't think about them until after we left. [SPOILER ALERT!]
They are as follows:
1. When the kids replaced the dead, corroded, 22-year old battery on the old gas Jeep, what did they use, another dead, corroded, 22-year-old battery?
2. When they discover the field full of dead Diplodoci, apparently killed for sport by the Hybrid, looking like the buffalo from Dances with Wolves, did each dinosaur patiently wait his turn to be attacked and killed, instead of fleeing, seeing how much time and effort it would take to kill each one? They're not going to die from being scratched in passing. Something caused them to drop all at once in the same place. Was the Hybrid using a machine gun?
3. When the boys' mom was crying while talking to her sister, she seemed really upset that the boys were left alone, saying that the older boy could be "really mean" - except we never see any evidence of this throughout the movie, and in fact he seems to be like a pretty normal teenager for the whole movie, changing from "disconnected" to compassionate toward his brother by the end.

I also noticed that the boys' mother had a bizarre relationship with her sons - she doted heavily on the younger son, giving him more respect (in fact, when we are first introduced to him, I assumed the son was autistic or something, because the mom was giving him "extra-special attention"). At the same time, she was treating her teenage son like crap, being condescending to him, treating him like a 3-year old and giving him no respect. I felt sorry for him. No wonder he wanted to bury himself in earphones and switch off to the world. Also the matter of the parents seeking divorce was never really addressed. For those who read Michael Crichton's original book, we knew that Lex and Tim's parents were divorced (or seeking a divorce), but it was never mentioned in the movie, and the kids certainly never shed any tears over it.

On another note, as a creationist, I had to ignore all the references to "millions of years ago" and the implication that dinos turned into birds (not physically possible, but that's another story.)
. But I was otherwise impressed with this movie, and It even received an ovation at the end. So if you just want a "fun" movie, go see it.

To start things off the effects of Jurassic World are really good and the performences were good, Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard and Vincent D'Niofrio (I definitely didnt spell that right) but my main problem is that Vincent D'Niofrio character is so over the top cartoonish that it got to the point where I was hoping he was going to die. The movie was a bit predictable at times and the movie is only 2 hours and 4 minutes but so much happens that movie feels 20 minutes longer than it actually is. The begining was really cool where the doors swing open and it's like Christmas came early. The kids didnt annoy me as much as I thought they would. The ending fight was a great part, better than the 20 second fight in Jurassic Park 3. The Indominus Rex was a really good feature and Mossarasus Dinosaur got a really cool kill on a very minor character. My main problem is the dialouge sometimes isn't the greatest and the comic relief didnt always hit. If they do another sequel like there planning on doing I hope they do get another directer, Colin Treverrow did do a good job but I ended up getting to hyped up and I was disappointed but the movie was enjoyable for what it was, A Jurassic Park movie where the main dinosaur antagonist is a monster not an actual dinosaur. Finally, we get a Jurassic Park sequel that isn't completely idiotic and mind-numbingly boring. Jurassic World ignores the events of The Lost World and Jurassic Part III and introduces a new theme park 22 years after the first park closedFinally, we get a Jurassic Park sequel that isn't completely idiotic and mind-numbingly boring. Jurassic World ignores the events of The Lost World and Jurassic Part III and introduces a new theme park 22 years after the first park closed where dinosaurs roam free, although it's more similar to something similar to Disney World than the original park. In order to spike attendance again, the park has created a new, bigger and scarier hybrid dinosaur, the Idominus rex, but the big guy escapes his enclosure, and it becomes a hunt for the dino before it makes its way to the resort. Jurassic World does take its time until the action really begins. The first act is completely dedicated to showing the park in its normal operational design, and while it is slow, it does try to capture the sense of wonder that the original Jurassic Park had. The dinosaurs in Jurassic World do look fantastic. It's great to just be able to marvel at them for the first 30 minutes. But this is a Jurassic Park movie; we want to see some dinosaur action. Luckily, the movie knows that point when to crank up the action, and it's actually quite jarring. It goes zero to a hundred really quickly. One moment I was watching the dinosaurs, a bit bored by this point, and the next I'm bracing my seat because of the sheer intensity of the film. Jurassic World is a seriously violent and visceral film. It's probably one of the most violent PG-13 movies I've seen since The Dark Knight, but the violence is about on par with the other three films, so you should know what to expect. The slow opening act makes the rest of the movie extremely effective and thrilling, and while Jurassic World didn't have anything as terrifying as the kitchen scene in the original film, there are plenty of scenes that will melt your face off. If you have the chance, go see it in IMAX 3D. It's definitely a movie you need to be completely immersed in to get the full effect. If you're a fan of the original Jurassic Park or you like newer monster movies like Cloverfield and Godzilla, Jurassic World is the movie to see this summer. Expand

It was not a film I had expected. The excitement was very little; the screenplay was awful, the 3D effects were not so strong.
The music was just tolerable.

Experience the new casts to make new story, they really nailed it. I love all the casts. The action from the characters and also the dinosaurs, really dream comes true. It's even better than Age of Ultron *I must say*. Why? the antagonist character has the same weakness plot, that really easily defeated. But, the way the whole movie gave a strong performance, really COOLER than Age of Ultron. It makes me think of LEGO MOVIE. #awww *Lego Movie should win the oscar, sorry, Baymax!*
When kids came to the cinema, they really remember the whole story from first to end, and it really meant for children, nothing really adultery scenes, which means the movie succeeded to enchant the children. As we, the former fans from our childhood, me, I would say this is great. But of course, so many flaws.
For me, people should respect the second movie of Jurassic Park: The Lost World. Nothing can beats how adventure the second movie, not even two movies after can beat it. It is true that Jurassic Park, the first one was the most amazing movie until now, but the thrill and the dark things, the second one really nailed it. After that, I must say: Jurassic Park was meant for just duo-logy and nothing else.
So, basically Jurassic World is very fine, and watchable, but for once, it's too many flaws. It deserved the box office, it's better than Avengers. It defeats how not very attractive the third movie, but even though the third movie really gives great story behind the abandon two islands!
I WANT TO KNOW MORE ABOUT THESE ISLANDS, FOR GOODNESS SAKE! Let's stop make any park or everything, just digging more about the horror and mystery, that might be, might be can effect world civilization.
About the ending *Spoiler Alert*
The doctor was flew with InGen and it meant for there will be a chance to make another dinosaurs of the another place... it could very dangerous. It gives me a hint that one day, the dinosaurs will rule the world, like...Planet of The Apes *HAHAHAHAHAHA*
Because they keep talking about how intelligent they all have become, I'm afraid if the doctor will put chimpanzee DNA to do experiment. #LOL
So, well, the action, Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Nick Robinson, and Ty Simpkins were really dream team! We really enjoyed it.

The whole movie feels like slightly wasted potential, most parts are some what entertaining but consistent slow scenes and bad writing really take away from the enjoyment of the film. Multiple times I found myself doubting or laughing at somewhat serious scenes because of how out of place or bad some scenes felt. The special effects themselves looked good and most times it felt like they represented the dinosaurs accordingly but sadly it feels like most of the movie takes place in a studio full of green screens with hardly any on location filming. Acting from the Movies main star Chris Pratt is quite good as usual, Chris himself dose fall into that generic action hero role and doesn't stand out in this role as much as his others. Everyone else kind of just blends together and wont make much of an impression on you. The most enjoyable part of this movie is obviously just watching Dinos fight each other and kill people, witch is at some points is very bloody and gorey witch is nice to see they didn't try to hide the violence. All together Jurassic Park is a fun Week end movie to see with some friends but don't expect Mad Max Level Action or get your hopes to up. Expand

The statue of Hammond, the return of B.D. Wong as the geneticist behind these creations, and most notably the two boys in the film discovering the original visitor center from Jurassic Park now covered in jungle growth. They even find the original jeeps in the garage. There's also a moment where Claire uses a flair just like Alan and Ian do in the first movie. The park itself looks really cool and is obviously modeled after Disneyland with Main Street leading up to the pyramid-shaped main center. The dinosaurs look great and there is plenty of good dino action in the movie to keep you entertained.

Now for the bad. First, a big missed opportunity I thought in that when I first saw Claire in the film I thought she might just be Lex from the original, all grown up and now running the park her grandfather dreamed of building. Since I had temporarily forgotten Lex's name, I thought Claire might be her, and was disappointed when it wasn't. That would have been a great tie-in, even with her being played by a different actress. The character would then have been very aware of the dangers and pitfalls associated with this park based on her own childhood experience, which would have led to some much more intelligent dialogue and story development. Instead we get a park manager who is a corporate cliche and spends much of the movie being totally clueless to the growing threat to the visitors, when she isn't engaged in her preteen-level flirting with Chris Pratt's character.

I'll refrain from giving spoilers other than to say that the story and plot developments are preposterously stupid. When you look at the timeline for this park, we know that as of 2001 (Jurassic Park III) both islands were still off-limits. Factor in the several years it would have taken to get this park fully realized and it couldn't be more than five years old at the start of this movie. Yet one of the major premises is that the public has already gotten bored with dinosaurs so they need to start making super dino monstrosities to keep them entertained and coming back to the park. Really? Toss in a lunatic military contractor who I am assuming wants to drop lots of velociraptors on the Middle East, animal behavior that defies belief, outrunning a T-Rex while in high heels, and a final dinosaur battle that resembles a Godzilla movie (I was expecting Mothra to drop into the melee), and you have a big pile of dino droppings.

The movie is fun enough as an amusement park thrill ride, just don't expect the character depth, narrative excellence, or sense of wonder and adventure of the original.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. When i first heard of the movie and the gene modification stuff, teaching dinosaurs and so, i got really worried. I thought that it could go the wrong way or in a good way.Fortunately, for me, it went the right direction. The Indomitus, the most proeminent aspect of that new approach isn't an aberration. Instead, he is clever, dangerous and use several natures best hunting tactics and, foremost, he hunts for sport! It's a unstoppable killing machine and impose a lot of fear. Speaking of which, i saw i different kind of terror/fear in this movie and i liked it! The deaths are pretty scary, mostly because the directors decisions about camera angles. But not only that, the soundtrack and the situations cause a large sensation of fear, it captured the fear of death right before people got caugth by their nemesis. It deviates from previous movies, which, for me, were much more cartooned-like. It's a psicologycal terror, the fear before death that really added to the more dark atmosphere of the movie. In this movie, i felt the wheight of the deaths, the effects on people and it impacted me a lot. Another point that i feared that could go the wrong way was the raptors training. I expected that they did that in a silly form, you know, like, "hey rex, go get that bone". But it wasn't like that at all. Instead, that aspect is very intriguing, and the spectator stays apprehensive all the time, because you never know if the raptors will attack or if they will act accordingly. Its very unpredictable and sounds very much like how it would be if that really happened, so is another point of the movie that overlapped my expectations. The plot is acceptable and so the carachters. A bonus and praise for Crhis Pratt, wich, for me made a solid carachter and conducted is role very well. His caracther is cool, without loose that sense of responsability. For those who says he could be more funny like his previous roles, like Guardians of The Galaxy, i disagree. That role need a strong and responsibility man and a funny guy wouldn't fit in the genre. The dinos are fine e vast and the (spoiler) King is back, so i couldn't asked for more. They are everything i wanted to see. No feathers and others stuffs. Just the old and gold reptiliam gore!!!!!! I think that compare it to the first movie is a sin. Is like compare Alien with Aliens, both have their own merits and are good in their peculiar aspects, because they have diferent goals. That is the way i see Jurassic World, no need for comparisons. Ultimately, i think the movie pay respect for the previous movies and is very nostalgic at times, but without disconnecting from its own reality, and that is definitely what this movie is about! We are not in 1993. We have technology, people got tired of the same dinos and the movie brought all that new stuff without losing its soul. For all that said i consider this a very very good movie and i loved every moment of it. Expand

I'm not going to say that this film is better than the original because there is so much material that is inspired by the first film. Many characters resemble the classic characters in the original film and there are several shout outs to the 1993 classic throughout the film. Chris Pratt said that this film was a film made by a Jurassic Park fan for Jurassic Park fans and that could not be anymore true. The dinosaurs look great, and the action is so outstanding that I had my popcorn finished before the movie was halfway done. Chris Pratt offers a bit more star power than this franchise is used to and he proves that 2014 was not a fluke for him. He does not show the level of humour that he had in Guardians of the Galaxy but he is still very funny and he grabs your attention in his scenes. Bryce Dallas Howard was also amazing and I really enjoyed her performance. There are also great supporting cast characters like Vincent D'Onofrio and the comedic relief Jake Johnson. What prevents a perfect score for me is the overuse of the original films magic and I found that the two young boys in the film take up a little too much of the screen time and although by the ending you can tolerate them, they are kind of irritating for the first few minutes. If you get an opportunity to see Jurassic World in theatres take advantage of it because it could be the blockbuster of the summer. Expand

Jurassic Park is one of the greatest movies ever made. Lots of people have mixed feelings for The Lost World, and Jurassic Park 3 is just plain bad. This movie actually has spirit, and it doesn’t try to top the 1993 classic.

As I just stated Jurassic Park came out in 1993. The movie came out over 20 years ago.The accident happened 22 years ago. And it looks like billionaire Josh Hammond’s dreams of the park have officially come true. Jurassic World is now fully operational, and full of dinosaurs.

The park has been mastered for a while now, and it’s extremely popular. The park is a success, the crowd is having fun (kind of). Why Kind of? It seems like the crowd is… used to dinosaurs. So Dr. Henry Wu and fellow scientists create the Indominous Rex (this obviously backfires).

While the film is very different to the original, the narrative is very similar. Many people are comparing this film to Jurassic Park, but I don’t think that’s fair. After all this is a Hollywood Blockbuster. Like Godzilla and Pacific Rim, I think you should walk in knowing it’s a monster movie.

How was the Chris Pratt training Raptors scenes? Not perfect, but better than expected. How was the CGI? I think the CGI was good. There were a lot of moments where you could tell that it was CGI, but it didn’t bug me as much as I thought it would. How was the 3D? The 3D was fine. While it’s not necessary to watch this in 3D, it definitely doesn’t take away from the experience (see it in IMAX though).

I thought the acting was good. Chris Pratt knocks it out of the park once again. As I stated in the weekend box office article, this man is a star. You can tell just with the $200M plus money it did domestically opening weekend. Bryce Dallas Howard is pretty good. I think she did a really great job with what she was given.

The only character that comes back from the original Jurassic Park is B.D. Wong playing geneticist Henry Wu. Like, Bryce Dallas Howard she/he’s not perfect but for what he was given he was good. Vincent D’Onofrio was Ok, he was a little bit too over the top, and sometimes annoying, but then again he is VERY over the top in Daredevil (great show).

So, is this movie worth it? Yes, the movie is definitely worth it, it’s one of the funnest movies of the year so far. The movie is fun, it’s actually pretty intense and at times very suspenseful. So if you have not already (you probably have, I’m a little late) go watch this film.

Overall, Jurassic World has spirit, fun, it’s aware of what it is, and I think that if you go see this movie, you will have a lot of fun.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Probably the worst movie of the Jurassic Park franchise, Jurassic World cannot lay claim to the magic the original films brought about. An abject opening ten minutes immediately casts a dampener on what lies ahead with Bryce Dallas Howard as the disappointingly robotic Claire Dearing. Seeing Claire's sister unnecessarily burst in to tears for Claire not personally giving her nephews a tour of Isla Nublar which has ,by the way, became a fully functional Dinosaur zoo and theme park(man, isn't this exactly what each of the other three movies professed people NOT TO DO) seemed artificial and downright pathetic. The first movie scored big with the two kids that irritated and ultimately won over Dr.Grant, but the Director's mission to win over the audience with the same formula falls flat this time around. Chris Pratt as the raptor trainer(ya, believe it, Velociraptors have accepted him as their alpha - gosh!!!!) brings some solace to an otherwise mediocre and horribly miscast movie which feature a clueless theme park owner and a pot bellied head of security,to name a few. Even though the story about a genetically modified 'Indominus Rex' (cool fake name) terrorizing the visitors and the other dinosaurs had a great appeal, the execution leaves a lot to be desired. The best chance for the movie to salvage something was in its climax where an inter dinosaur battle ensues between the mutated beast, the raptors and the park's resident super hero, the T-Rex. Even though die hard fans of the franchise might distinguish a T-Rex from other big carnivorous dinosaurs, most of the audience aren't paleontology experts and not mentioning that the beast attacking the villainous I-Rex(??) was indeed the Tyrannosaur seems a bit lazy on the director's part and adds to the lack of attention to detail displayed throughout the film. The Mosasaurus' spot at the end could have been the perfect finale to the film,if it had a competent director at the helm.
The visuals are probably the only positive thing about the film and the movie ends in a not so surprisingly confused state with nothing definitive about whether the park will continue to operate or get taken over by the dinosaurs, the latter being the conventional and not so bad outcome in all the previous movies. Perfect ending to a disappointing movie.

And by the way - The T-Rex, all of a sudden, develops a conscience and spares the good guys at the end - Come on!!!!!!!

It goes without saying that this is the kind of film that will keep you on the edge of your seat. It starts off a little slow, but it quickly picks up the pace. I thought it was just going to be a copy of Jurassic Park, but it wasn't.

At first, i didn't want to see it, but my wife wanted to go and see it, so we went together to give it a shot. It was well worth the trip and the money for the tickets. We did the 3D version, which makes it even better, especially after they turned all the lights out.

Chris Pratt gave another stellar performance as the lead character, being the 'alpha' male to certain dinosaurs. Bryce Dallas Howard is a babe, and she was smoking hot in this flick. Steven Spielberg did another excellent job, and Colon Trevorrow did a darn good job directing this master piece.

The movie is fun and inventive, whilst taking on an exciting narrative arc combined with exciting characters and, most importantly, a fantastic array of dinosaurs. Whilst the film suffers from several plot inconsistencies and dialogue problems, it successfully takes the audience back to a world full of dinosaurs in an original yet nostalgic way. The re-imagining of what a park full of dinosaurs would look like if it were to exist in the future is portrayed with great originality. It also hints back at Jurassic Park throughout, particularly in a beautiful scene mid way through the film. Overall, Jurassic World is a fun movie that succeeds in taking viewers back to Steven Spielberg’s dinosaur fantasy. Expand

I was anticipating this movie everKeep in mind before you read this review that i have been a fan of all things Jurassic ever since the very first movie i love Jurassic Park and even enjoy the two sequels The lost world and Jurassic Park 3. I was anticipating this movie ever since it was announced. I waited in excitement for the trailers and even freaked out in excitement when the 30 second teaser was released. So when this movie was finally released i was one of the first people in line to see it. And for the most part i really enjoyed this movie the acting was good for the most part particularly by Chris Pratt and even the two younger siblings i thought did a good job. I thought that the love story was a little forced but to be honest it was such a small part of the actual movie it didn't matter to me. And the dinosaurs were awesome. The cgi has come such long way that they looked real. And it was amazing to see the park finally open in all its glory. Which brings us to a very important part of the movie. The Indominous Rex I thought that the Indominous Rex was awesome and added a new and interesting twist to the Jurassic Park franchise. Some people complained that they thought this was more of a monster movie than a Jurassic movie however i have to disagree i thing that this movie was a good ending note the the Jurassic franchise and i am glad that the position this movie holds no longer belongs to Jurassic Park 3

This movie had a lot of positives and a good fair negatives but over all i had a lot of fun with this movie and give it a 8 out of 10.

I enjoyed the first part of the movie a lot, the kids were cute and their perspective was great at translating that same sense of wonderment the original Jurassic Park had.

I enjoyed much less how the movie become a dumb monster movie along with a case of "too many cooks" with too many plot lines and too many characters competing for attention in the second half. They also could have done a much better job with Chris Pratt's and Bryce Dallas Howard's characters who are basically dumb caricatures, and I hated that cliched military bad guy.

Last complaint : too much CG, everything looked fake, especially the Dinos, everything on screen was too clean, too bright, too crisp. The last action scenes was particularly ludicrous, defying all sense of realism.

The CGI was actually pretty good, the actors did a good job for what they had, and the overall look of the movie is enough to make even the harshest movie critics leave at least some positive notes. Now, some elements were bad, like some cheesy humor, but, if you are a fan of Jurassic Park, you will most likely have learned to ignore all the negatives. The movie is most certainly not for people looking for a possible Best Picture contender, but is an enjoyable and fun movie. Parental Guidance is required if any young ones are looking to see their favorite dinos chase people around the mountains of Isla Nublar, but they shouldn't be having nightmares when they go to sleep (unless of course they are bothered watching humans become dino food. I mean, what kind of dinosaur movie has humans and dinosaurs on the same island and no one dies? Trust me, no one would watch that movie). So, this movie is not disappointing, unless of course you dislike Jurassic Park, or dinosaurs for some reason, but, if you did, then why the heck are you watching it? Expand

This movie takes everything you loved with the original, and modernizes it, re-introducing it to a new generation of kids who may have never witnessed the originals. This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. It's strange. As I was sitting in the bus on my home the plot deficiencies started coming to me. I could not put my finger on it, but something seemed to escape me. Storywise there was nothing in Jurassic World to elevate above the usual action flicks, no unique plot to really make it stand out. Looking back I started to feel empty. And yet as I was sitting in the cinema none of that really bothered me. These feelings came only later but as I was watching the film I felt completely satisfied. As far as action movies go I would easily put it amidst the best of the year.

But returning to the plot, first with the major negatives:

1.) Simple Plot. The story is fairly straightforward - they make a giant killer dinosaur, she escapes and wreaks havoc. Storywise nothing else happens. It could work, but only with more memorable characters that leap out of the screen. And while Jurassic World has good performances it does not have the kind of characters to make up for the simple story. And that is the biggest fault of the film.

2.) Clair and Owen's romance. When he kissed her it just came completely out of nowhere. Sure, it is established a bit that they once kind of, sort of had a thing, but that is never built up and their romance is entirely superfluous to the story.

3.) Dinosaur intelligence. Just how intelligent are they supposed to be? First Indominus Rex makes the velociraptors switch allegiance, even though she is supposed to have no social skills. Then the velociraptors waver in their allegiance, turn against Indominus Rex and have an "understanding" with T. Rex. It's just all too anthropomorphic for a supposedly serious film.

With the bad out of the way here is what I really liked about the film:

1.) How they explained the name Indominus Rex. It's just so perfect and self aware.

2.) Masrani seeing Indominus Rex for the first time. It was the perfect first reveal of a monster.

3.) Owen's character. He is probably the saving grace of this movie.

4.) Final fight between Indominus Rex and T. Rex.

So in the end Jurassic World - definitely one of the summer must- see's, a good action film but storywise don't expect too much.

It was a horrible mixture of no character development whatsoever (on top of that only one character was even likable), worse dialogue than a Vin Diesil movie ("we need to stick together for survival"), lazy filmmaking, even when they make a mistake like the high heels they point it out to you 18 times. I've never walked out of a movie and when the tetradactyl scene came on I couldn't take it and almost left. The film works as a dumb dinosaur action movie with story and characters functioning in a way that the previous sequels didn’t. Unfortunately, the film cannot escape feelings of laziness/sameness. The film lacked any real effort as the filmmakers recycled plot points, clichés, and character types from the first film. It was hard to enjoy the film when it was just a lazy rehash lacking the heart of soul of the first one. Why sit through a retread when you can watch this same story with superior characters, story, effects and action. Jurassic World isn’t terrible it just doesn’t become anything more than brilliant. Its better than the sequels but it isn’t saying much. Enjoyment of this film requires turning off your brain, which is mostly possible, and forgetting the first film and its similarities, which is impossible. If you can do both you can enjoy this film, which as is the tradition contains meaningless 3D. If you’ve seen Jurassic Park you’ve seen this movie done better. If you are ok with more of the same you’ll have fun with it but if you want something no and creative this film won’t do anything for you. Expand

The first act of the film is kinda boring. I know when the movie start, there should be some introduction, some talking to introduce the characters and the park, but all those talking are unnecessary. It's like listening to scientist teaching us biology kind of boring. Lots of uninteresting talk especially about 'in-gen'. To be honest, it's kinda boring. The characters are undeveloped.
Normally, when a supporting cast died or killed in a movie, I would feel either relieve or disappointed. However, the characters in this movie are not appealing.
On the other side, the action scenes are fine. Some scenes are really funny. The park looks beautiful and well crafted.
Overall, if you like action and dinosaurs and some comedy... this is the movie for you, but don't expect it to be the best Jurassic park you have ever seen.

A bunch of decent action scenes.

The movie is basically a collection of plot holes mixed with bad writing and desperate attempts to appeal to broad audiences.
It's not even about the dinosaurs. We just have one super-pimped dino that kills everyone and then a final fight where it gets killed. It feels like watching Godzilla, but less enjoyable.

It's just incredibly stupid. Chris Pratt, you better start appearing in some better movies. This is the second one, after Guardians of the Galaxy, that feels like only complete idiots could enjoy them.

Mediocre monster movie set in a world where military veterans can't hit a 50 ft long target with a minigun and rocket blasts to said 50 ft target don't instantly turn it into crimson jelly.

While the (extensively used) CG is probably technically impressive and the film looks nice, there is no excuse for how stupid and creepy some of this film is.

Let's start with the creepy - the pterodactyl torture porn scene where the office assistant lady is picked up off the ground, dropped, caught in mid air, and then dunked in the water some 4-5 times before being eaten by a giant aquatic dinosaur. Disgusting. There was no need for a drawn out death scene for a character who honestly didn't do anything wrong in the movie, this wasn't comeuppance for some evil act, this was just straight up torture fetish filth. Even the big bad guy died in a covered up and nearly off-scene raptor attack. No excuse for this.

Okay let's get to the stupid, somehow supersaurus mega rex is able to cloak itself visually and from THERMAL cameras (how would it even know those existed come the hell on) and set a trap that fools a dinosaur trainer, it then gets stuck in the door of it's enclosure but rather than being choked out by the door closing mechanism, it manages to smash right through the reinforced concrete and metal gate that had been keeping it inside for how long with little to no effort?

invinciblesaurus then plods through the park murdering dinosaurs not to eat but to kill kill kill, apparently someone spliced in some of the zodiac killer's genes or something because as far as I know none of the animals they claimed it had genes of were particularly serial-murdery.

Somehow ultramegasaurus KNOWS WHAT A TRACKING DEVICE IS and RIPS IT OUT OF IT'S OWN FLESH.

Trained dino-emergency trackers/hunters and their nine zillion tranquilizer rounds have no effect on big nasty megasaur, it shrugs it off and murders everyone in short order, even the guy blasting it in the face with a shotgun which somehow didn't even give it pause. I really don't care how many cuttlefish or frogs you splice something with it will STILL go down to the power of pharmaceuticals.

When freed from sealed aviary, pterodactyls/pterosaurs or whatever somehow FLEW, not glided from a cliff like you know, they did in real life. They decided instead of scattering like idiot birds would normally do they would immediately head for the humans, how they instantly knew where they were (miles away) was uh, birdosaur magic radar I guess.

Birdosaurs somehow flying AND lifting full grown adult humans into the air.

Oh yeah, Birdosaurs seeking out and attacking a noisy helicopter firing a minigun full on, you cannot tell me those animals would not have fled from something making such scary noises.

An island FULL of angry deadly dinosaurs and only one minigun and chopper, not even a combat chopper but a civilian chopper with a minigun mounted in the door. Clearly we can't afford those with all these dinosaur holograms and genetic disasters we made.

The aforementioned torture porn scene with the office lady also qualifies for stupid.

The entire ~trained raptors~ arc, and the evilbadman's stupid plan to use them as weapons, the supermegakillosaur being able to SPEAK RAPTOR and COMMUNICATE WITH THEM and then ORDER THEM TO TURN ON THEIR TRAINER AND ATTACK THE HUMANS. How many super powers does killosaurus drecks have so far? I lost count.

The raptors put aside their betrayal and help their daddy human man to fight the big bad supersaurus, who beats all four into the dirt while being peppered with rifle rounds by their trainer.

The T-rex and Raptor TAG TEAM DUO vs mega killosaur. COME ON THE RAPTOR RODE ON THE T-REX'S BACK FFS. Then after the giant crocodile thing eats the super killosaurus for the final blow, the T-rex and raptor exchange nods of approval and bugger off into the night.

Keep in mind the original movie had a CASCADE OF FAILURES happen to even allow the dinosaurs to ESCAPE in the first place. The storm, Nedry's computer virus, ALL of the dinosaurs getting loose at the same time, the park wasn't even complete or open or fully staffed. In this movie the park has been successful for something like seven years, but this ONE dinosaur they somehow gave superpowers to through the magic of cuttlefish and frog genes totally ruins everything.

FINAL VERDICT: Avoid this movie unless you can turn your brain off / you live with your brain turned off.

While of course the VFX are killer, so unfortunately is much of the dialogue. While some is necessary, too much silly expositional dialogue which all these huge Hollywood blockbusters have nowadays more than ever really detracts from any seriousness and suspension of disbelief. The basic story is sound with some interesting implications in an over-arching subplot which foreshadows future directions for the franchise. The main problem is the execution while certainly proficient technically, it's ultimately lacking in boldness and real creativity.
Yet again the 3D is lame and doesn't nearly deliver what it could have thanks to the 3D aspect's timid direction and studio oversight, and of all things Spielberg's hesitation to push boundaries these days. The whole industry has the wrong idea about the use of 3D, taking the stance that subtle immersion is the way to go. No dummies, that's called 2D! If we're going to pay a 30% up charge and have to wear the stupid glasses then DELIVER THE FREAKING GOODS!

I expected much more horror scenes in this movie where the dinos stalk their prey and everybody is like "oh shiii what shall we do were gonna die". Nope, instead its just plain simple running away, forming a plan and saving the world. Sorry but im too old to be able to get exited for this kind of bullshi*.

3/10 because of the really good but too short TREX VS Indominus.

Jurassic World ranks below The Lost World. I was quite disappointed. There is a lot of great CGI and some good action scenes, but the story, acting and direction really wasn't at the same level.

If you came for the dinosaurs and chris pratt you have found yourself in the right place. The story is dinosaurs, the action is dinosaurs and the witty banter is chris pratt.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I don't know why they said this would ignore the existence of 2-3. It made sense that nobody would be dumb enough to mess with dinosaurs after they invaded the city and took over another island... Every single character except the doctor from the original film was completely overrun by stupidity. The characters are so dim that they easily would have tried to run the park after three previous disasters. No doubt the film had great scenes of dinosaurs wreaking havoc but the human stupidity was beyond unacceptable. Who designs a ride that allows guests to have complete freedom to roam wherever they please unsupervised? Why did the owner of the park blame his lead scientist for doing exactly what he was told to do? Why are carnivorous dinosaurs all of the sudden not attacking humans? Why did they tell us that the T-Rex was coming back and not include it more? After watching for 45-60 mins you basically guess the purpose of the original monster if you haven't done so before even watching. Why is the T-Rex not destroying everything? Once again, I loved all the dinosaur scenes just not so much the look at the cute little velociraptor scenes (entirely too many of them) I wasn't looking for a smart movie, just one with maybe the most basic common sense. This movie gets a half decent rating from this reviewer because of the dinosaurs. The humans all score less than .5/10. Whoever approved this script should be fired but likely will not be due to the films disappointing success. Expand

(I saw it in 3d with a significant number of other people, but not at an IMAX, or other particularly impressive screen, and the sound setup was merely decent there. ) This is the kind of movie that is all about the spectacle, and has a very mediocre script. That said, the acting is actually pretty good, especially Chris Pratt, but including the others, which makes it all the more unfortunate they didn't spend a tiny portion of their budget to make sure they could get a good script. I'm sure that for a few million they could have easily hired a few great writers to bang out a script that would have had it rise above this mediocrity. Obviously they didn't need to, seeing its success, but I think it hurts the brand long term, as people tire of pure spectacle in the same universe.

This movie was about as good as I expected it to be, but was let down strangely enough by the spectacle itself. I will say that it is a good rendition of the Jurassic Park concept, and the effects are mostly very well done, but it seemed to lack the grandeur to make it a truly spectacular experience, and thus could not make up for the 'story'. It is an enjoyable movie, but it is not particularly worthy of recommendation. If someone is going to love this movie, I'm sure they already know it, otherwise, it is a decent way to spend a couple hours, if you have some cash to burn, and nothing else to do.

This movie is pretty, but that's about it. One of the bigger problems I found is it is definitely not a family movie. Some of the gore obviously freaked out many of the young kids whose parents unwittingly took them to see it. The other problem is Bryce Howard; she sucks in everything, yet for some inexplicable reason they keep sticking her in big budget flicks. Overall this is a lackluster offering save from being truly awful only by its special effects. The best way to see this movie would probably be while you are high. I guess if you're stupid that could work too. Otherwise, prepare to be disappointed.

I think people should watch Jurassic World with an open mind and the disposition to be awe. The dinosaurs are wonderful and are breathtaking; as for the humans, they do what they are suppose to do... Be eaten. Pratt does a terrific job on his role. In summary: Fun movie, great visual effects, tons of dinosaurs, dumb ye effective story. Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Twenty-two years after the events of Jurassic Park, Isla Nublar now features a fully functioning dinosaur theme park, Jurassic World. After 10 years of operation, a new hybrid is created to re-spark visitors' interest, which backfires horribly.

The film's set up is different to the previous sequels that saw our heroes thrown into danger on Site B, the deserted island where dinosaurs roamed freely. Now on Isla Nublar, we see the billionaire John Hammond's vision realised of a safari park families can visit just like Sea World. All is well at first but park director Bryce Dallas Howard and CEO Irfan Khan's misplaced ambitions backfire as their lab designed hybrid, Indominus Rex, escapes. It's then up to Chris Pratt's ex Navy SEAL and his trained velociraptors to bring down the savage beast. Pratt's colleague Vincent D'Onofrio sees the potential in weaponised raptors for military needs. Meanwhile, Howard's two nephews need to survive and make their way back to safety.

The film treats us, the audience, the same way it portrays the on screen visitors of Jurassic World. It knows nothing can re-create that awe inspiring feeling, seeing herds of dinosaurs for the first time, we've seen it all before. We live in a different world from the 1990s. So it's attempt to one up the original park is a disaster and that's the fun part. There are several nods to the original like the safari jeeps and rearview mirror shot, but not once did i feel it was wink wink pandering. The part horror tone and tongue in cheek humour of the previous films are all intact. The effects heavy action sequences were brilliantly shot. Most of the action is centred around the new creature, but there's plenty of fresh ideas left in the tank. The pterodactyls attack was impressive and frightening. The final battle involving the Indominus Rex, a T-Rex, a raptor and a Mosasaurus is worth the price of admission.

There are a few things that bring down my enjoyment of this film. The forced romance between Pratt and Howard doesn't help, neither does the cliche back story of divorcing parents for the two kid characters. Knowing the events that took place over 20 years ago, you would think the park would have more intelligent staff and better weapons for an 'asset out of containment' scenario. At times it's as if training raptors was the only new thing they learned all this time.

Despite those negatives, i had a good time. Going in with low expectations, i was pleasantly surprised and entertained by this latest instalment of the Jurassic Park franchise. Instead of trying to imitate the magic of the first, director Colin Trevorrow and his writing team have delivered a decent sequel that's fun, gripping and well executed.

I don't have to tell you that the Dino CGI is jaw dropping and add to that the production team has remained loyal to the original tenets of this franchise! -kids in danger-bad guys in danger-a woman warrior to fend off the impossible odds, but the production team has done what is the almost impossible task of creating new heart thumping situations based on the old story line. This is one movie where I came to the end and thought it was well worth the money I spent on admission for the 3D tix. I'm glad I ignored the naysayers and caught this exciting movie experience!! Awesome CGI effects. Story, dialogue corny and Jurassanine. Sappy, stupid, and lazily put together. CGI is the only redeeming quality of the film, unless you can suspend intelligence and a sense of plausibility.
