I enjoyed this movie a lot. The dinosaurs looked awesome, not fully real though. The actors are great, and funny! The story is great and provides thrills throughout the whole thing.

This movie was amazing! Jurassic World is just as Jurassic Park. The CGI was amazing even though the movie was also a little scary. Do yourself a favor and buy this movie.

This is also a continuation of the trilogy Jurassic Park. In the previous Jurassic Park, the park was never able to open to the public because of the lack containment of the animals. This year in Jurassic World, the park has been authorized to be released to the public. Replacing the old park, lies the new park. Jurassic World is a park contained with genetically modified, prehistoric dinosaurs. Claire is a park operations manager, and the aunt of visitors Zach and Gray Mitchell. Scientists created a hybrid to become a new attraction to the park, because “No one is impressed by a dinosaur anymore,” said Claire. The dinosaur’s name is the Indominus Rex, and has been in captivity all it’s life. The Indominus Rex is transfused with many mixed dinosaur and other animal’s DNA. The base geno is the Tyrannosaurus Rex (a.k.a the T-Rex). Other genetic mixtures are cuttlefish, tree frog, and many other genes I will not specify. The dinosaur is up for review with the park owner Simon Masrani. He feels former military man Owen Grady (Chris Pratt) should observe it to examine for vulnerabilities. The dinosaur happened to escape its cage and has started wreaking havoc to everything that moves. One of the things I really loved was the visual graphics and effects. First of all, The dinosaurs look amazing. The texture of their skin, the claws, and facial expressions of the dinosaurs were amazing. Especially, when the Indominus showed its face. The bone structure looks almost perfect. The jaw on the dinosaurs are expanded to the fullest point. When the dinosaurs roar, the screen shakes and trembles. The detail of the teeth are picture perfect. It makes the intimidation level seem much more frightening. When they roar, you see the slob and blood fall from their teeth of their last kill. I think it is really cool how they made it. It almost makes me feel like I’m looking at it myself. The final dino battle was legendary. The way they were bumping each other into the buildings and destroying it looked really divine. The lights had an electric spark upon impact. It made the room light up in the dark. All the wood and bricks were falling. The dinosaur’s blood is glistening in the light and blood leaking everywhere. I just thought the visual effects in this movie were epic. Another thing I loved were the sound effects/music. The sound effects were on point. The way the dinosaurs stomp on the ground is intimidating. For an example, one of the scenes where the Indominus broke out of its cage, Owen is trapped under a car after being chased. He’s laying on the ground trying not to be spotted by the Indominus. The dinosaur is walking around the car trying to pick up a scent. The way the dinosaur’s foot collided with the ground was really loud, along with a rumble as an aftershock. I had my TV at almost max volume to experience it as if I was in the situation myself. The TV stand shook and vibrated upon the dinosaur stomp. You should have saw my face. I was in a shock on how realistic it felt. Also, I like the theme music. Every time the Indominus is searching for the characters, the music starts playing. For instance, when the Zach, Gray, and Owen were hiding in a building, the dinosaur is slowly picking up their scent. The music played and the dinosaur is slowly inching up to the building, while showing its deadly teeth. The music gave me chills. This is how you know that something is going to happen. The music attracts me to sci-fi and thriller movies.

Overall this movie was fantastic. Hammond previously had a dream that he can open up a park with dinosaurs. It failed because the dinosaurs escaped its cages. So the park has never opened up. Finally, Hammond’s dream has finally come true. They have prevailed Hammond's idea to attempt to open up the park again. So they decided to spice it up and do something different. I enjoyed that they made a genetically hybrid dinosaur, and is scary and very unique. The thing is dinosaurs cannot be contained. They are powerful creatures, especially the Indominus. “Hammond, after careful consideration, I've decided, not to endorse your park,” said Allan Grant from Jurassic Park.

Who did not love dinosaurs when they were little? Back in the 90’s, they had the first movie called Jurassic Park. then they later made Jurassic Park: The Lost World and then Jurassic Park Three. In my opinion, the third one is the best, but this movie is a close second. It basically is about these two boys who go to Jurassic World to visit their aunt whom they have not seen in seven years. Their aunt is the person who is in charge of the park. In the park, there is a dinosaur that is a mutation of a T-Rex and a Velociraptor. The creature escapes from the cage and brings terror across the island. Many are injured and a lot of dinosaurs die. The aunt, her friend Owen, and the two boys are trying to find a way to survive the dangerous dinosaur. I have grown up watching these movies, and the only one that has disappointed me was the second one. It never impressed me. I like the characters from the first one and the third one. Even though this movie does not have them, it is still a pretty good movie. The movie is pretty graphic though. You get to see people get eaten by dinosaurs. How cool is that? I never knew that humans could be eaten by something that has not existed for over a millions of years. Also in the movie, you also get a little romance. Watching this movie, I was very impressed with all of the animation. The dinosaurs looked so real. Since it has been so long since the last one had came out, no one knew what to expect out of it. When I saw the previews of it, I got so excited because I had loved the original movies so much. Watching these movies when I was younger made me love dinosaurs today, but it also made me very fascinated with them. Usually when there is a movie that is done 20 years later it is never good, but this movie is worth the time to watch. Expand

Jurassic World is dumb fun at its dumbest and sometimes at its funnest. It tries to be smart, but then it starts being the thing the movie is spreading a message against. It's hypocrisy in cinematic form.

Does Jurassic World have the magic of the original classic? No. But there's still enough awesome crowd pleasing moments and terrific visuals to keep you watching and entertained. And since that is the film's goal, it's a success.

Pros: None. (If you think I could at least have given a point for the dinosaurs, no. Go watch Jurassic Park. There's nothing new here!)

Cons:
(1) The whole film takes implausibility to the extreme, including the:
(a) Implausible dinosaur behaviour of a dino-cidal Indominous Rex and train-able raptors. Hah!;
(b) Implausible human behaviour of the dislikable female lead, the bumbling CEO, the lecherous brother and the cliched war-profiteer; and
(c) Implausibility of how a theme park like that could have been given the approval to operate, considering all the safety issues. You have a Mosasaurus in a giant pool/lake where people can fall into, fields with giant dinosaur where visitors are allowed to drive themselves around, etc.

(2) The film has this comical scene where our characters had to move left and right to avoid being killed by dinosaurs as the latter go about attacking other dinosaurs and the humans. This is in the tradition of the three previous films. It was already stale by the second film and it it had definitely gone bad by now!

(3) If you hadn't gotten the drift by now, the writing is poor and lazy. The directing is not any better. What a missed opportunity to reboot the franchise.

(4) Have I mentioned, how I hate House Prices Dallas in this film?

Who would think the film is great? Children.
Who would think the film is only so-so? Young adults.
Who would think the film is lousy? Old adults.

Rating: 2/5 (no half scores). Do not bother to even watch it on TV. It felt tedious to watch it on TV.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. The artistic medium of film is very subjective. Every audience member has a different set of criteria they use to measure their viewing experience. Not everyone shares the same set of criteria. If we did, what a bland and uninspired world this would be.

What I Personally Liked About "Jurassic World":
I really enjoyed the performance of Bryce Dallas Howard. She's a consummate professional who gives us a fairly well rounded character and her interactions with Irrfan Khan (as Masrani) are priceless. Nick Robinson and Ty Simpkins are also very good younger actors who involve themselves with their roles instead of allowing themselves to be dragged along for the ride. We also get a small sense of wonder at the scope of the theme park through their eyes which we haven't really felt since Sam Neill and Laura Dern first stepped foot in the original park back in 1993. Another thing I really like is the fact that the makers of the film more honestly own up to the genetic differences between their engineered dinosaurs and the real deal from millions of years ago. A lovely summation delivered by BD Wong's character sees to that.

What I Personally Disliked About "Jurassic World":
In the first half hour of this film, the writers seem to repeat themselves in their dialogue far too often. The same exposition feels like it's given on five or six different occasions and that is just a boring way to introduce your characters and set up your future angles. The first film let scenarios develop naturally and this fourth installment of the franchise would have done well to learn from its originator. Also, what is with Chris Pratt all of a sudden. It seems like the guy came out of nowhere and is now the manufactured flavor of the decade. The mass market audience might eat him up but those who crave real acting skills will be left with hunger pangs. When his inevitable crash and burn from pretty boy front man happens, it is going to be painful to watch (think Shia LaBeouf). Something else that really took me out of the film was the unnecessarily over-the-top death of Katie McGrath's character Zara. Seriously, a more innocent role has never had a less deserving death than hers. Next time do the cinematic world a favor and kill off Pratt instead. Sadly, there are a few other over-the-top moments as well, but there is very little sustainable tension for a two-hour movie. There should be a constant threat to our leading men and women instead of just sporadic bursts of dino danger. It really undermines the urgency of their situation on the island. Finally, the Indominus Rex itself takes center stage on my list of personal dislikes. This thing looks like a reject from the 1998 "Godzilla" atrocity when compared to the other beasts in this movie. All the build-up in the world couldn't stop the creature who was supposed to be the film's star attraction from being a hokey gimmick that limits the suspense value of key sequences. When it first attacked the team carrying the non-lethal weaponry, it felt like a joke. You're supposed to make your audience scream in terror at an attack such as that one, not pee their pants from laughing so hard. The long-awaited cameo appearance from the Tyrannosaurus Rex at the finale of the film is an all-too brief blessing.

My Overall Impression of "Jurassic World":
Between Chris Pratt and the Indominus Rex, there's just too much cheese on my burger. It makes it hard to taste the meat and really, the meat is what you're paying for. This sequel is the slightest of notches beneath "The Lost World: Jurassic Park" in terms of its level of enjoyment. The filmmakers should have been aiming much higher than that.

On thing I noticed right away was the two boy actors had horrible acting. The older boy acted like he had down syndrome, his face was just flat the whole time; The kind of look you have after you just played video games for a couple hours.
But it didn't stop there everyone else's acting was pretty bad. The story in no way paid homage to any of the earlier Jurassic Parks. We still get John Williams rehashed music which did not go well with the flow of the movie. The movie seemed entirely seperate from any of the other Juassic Parks because it was not believeable, the dinosaurs werent real looking everything was cged to death.

This review may be written all over the place but thats how I feel about the movie. The main role for female actor was bad. Female actor was sexist because it portrayed woman as the scared running woman we all know from the past looking for her hero.

The whole velociraptor whisperer thing was retarded. You cannot tame those animals ever lol.

To keep it short it would have been an okay movie if it was titled something else like dinosaurs and monsters theme park. With the Jurassic Park headline I was wanting to see something great being a fan of the original 90's movie. There was nothing great about Jurassic World other than I got it for free on piratebay and I gladly deleted it and threw the movie in the trash bin.

In no way is Jurassic World better than the original. Not that it was ever going to be, but still.

Jurassic World was a risky movie, as it could evidently derail the entire franchise as a whole and make it sink into cinema history. And yes, I'll admit, it was very sloppy and stupid at points. However, there's just something about Jurassic World that is appealing to any Jurassic Park fan like myself, as it does, on occasion, slip some great homage to the original.

The cast does great and are perfectly cast in their roles, especially Chris Pratt at the head of the main cast. The special effects are terrific, and that end fight scene for all those who saw it... you just have to admit that was awesome.

The kids' story in the movie is a bit rushed and convoluted, basically just being thrown in there so the film can squeak another twenty minutes of run-time. But it doesn't matter that much in the overall context and outcome of the plot.

It's a fun, exciting, even if oddly dumb popcorn flick, and that's exactly what it needed to be.

Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard and Vincent D'Onofrio star in the franchise's first installment in 14 years.

Intensely self-conscious of its status as a cultural commodity even as it devotedly follows the requisite playbook for mass-audience blockbuster fare, Jurassic World can reasonably lay claim to the No. 2 position among the four series entries, as it goes down quite a bit easier than the previous two sequels. The 14-year layoff since the last one may well have helped, in that the new film's perspective on antiseptic, theme park-style tourism and relentless commercialization, while hardly radical, plainly announces its makers' sense of humor about their own project's multifaceted mercantile motives. Although not terribly scary, and closer to PG than R in its frights and gore, Universal's big summer action release is sufficiently toothsome to make audiences everywhere happy for a return visit to a once-wild world that superficially looks as safe and domesticated as a Universal Studios tour.

The latest unlikely suspects to make the jump from quirky niche low-budget fare to big studio extravaganza filmmaking, director Colin Trevorrow and his screenwriting partner Derek Connolly in 2012 made the disarmingly offbeat and fringe-dwelling Safety Not Guaranteed, which scarcely looked like the kind of thing that would punch anyone's ticket for the cinematic planet occupied and significantly owned by Steven Spielberg. For this outing, at least, Trevorrow has sidelined slow-burn drollery in favor of the requisite five-speed transmission and booming speaker system. But while the scale and generic nature of this sort of franchise endeavor almost inevitably homogenizes a variable amount of a personal filmmaker's imprint, Trevorrow would seem to suggest that he has not irrevocably gone over to the other side but, rather, is testing some different waters for fun and profit.

It can also have only helped that the other screenwriters, Rick Jaffa and Amanda Silver, had so smartly navigated a new approach to another recent sci-fi franchise about allegedly docile beasts gone wild with the new Planet of the Apes series. The first wise move was pretending that The Lost World: Jurassic Park (1997) and Jurassic Park III (2001) never existed and that the world depicted here descends directly from Spielberg's 1993 adaptation of Michael Crichton's novel.

Despite the story's formulaic structure and the predictable nature of its cautionary stance on playing God, the old-fashioned Saturday matinee-like pleasures stemming from resourceful derring-do in the face of mighty odds retain an appeal — if done reasonably well — which is the case here. The action only occasionally rises to rousing, and the romance, such as it is, between the watered-down Indiana Jones type appealingly played by Pratt and the corporate mouthpiece less engagingly embodied by Howard, never gets off the ground. What's more, the two brothers are thinly drawn, with the older one in particular remaining off-putting for far too long behind his ever-present earphones.

Still, there's a certain low-key affability about Trevorrow's approach that marks him a likeable humanist rather than a director determined to hammer the viewer into submission, which unfortunately is what you feel with too many giant franchise projects such as this. This is, after all, a story about humankind's fallibility, hubris and inclination to bring destruction upon itself, and one at least feels little tremors of this awareness leaking out between the creatures' deafening stomps and roars.

On the whole, the film successfully steers clear of a significant CGI look and Michael Giacchino's score skillfully takes certain cues from John Williams' prior series work but develops a pronounced character of its own.

A serviceable stab at Spielberg's franchise

The only reason this movie was half way decent was because the dinosaur action sequences were mildly entertaining and the overall message of the film was actually something interesting enough to think about. Everything else about this movie was terrible. The script was god-awful and full of flaws. The characters had no depth whatsoever and were completely static. There were so many unnecessary subplots that didn't add anything valuable to the story (e.g. the divorce of the parents, and the Pratt's character's romance with the Claire girl). Also, what was the purpose of the older brother constantly ogling at girls throughout the film? I know he's a teen and teens tend to do that but it didn't add ANYTHING to the film and is even more ridiculous considering the film shows at the beginning that he has a girlfriend.

At least the acting was half way decent. The last 10 minutes was the only thing entertaining. "Jurassic Park" is 10x the movie that this will ever be.

It has been 22 years since Jurassic Park ushered in the modern age of computer generated imagery, becoming the first motion picture to use the then-cutting edge special effects technology to astound and amaze us. Director Steven SpielbergIt has been 22 years since Jurassic Park ushered in the modern age of computer generated imagery, becoming the first motion picture to use the then-cutting edge special effects technology to astound and amaze us. Director Steven Spielberg allowed us to believe that dinosaurs were real. Repetition made the second Jurassic Park installment, 1997's The Lost World, a step down and Universal's decision to cut the budget for the third movie, 2001's Jurassic Park III, seemingly put an end to the saga. However, after a 14-year gap, the T-Rexes, velociraptors, and their ilk are back. With Spielberg executive producing and Colin Trevorrow behind the lens, it's time to again return to a universe where amber-encased prehistoric mosquitoes have made it possible for extinct creatures to roam.

Jurassic World features only one returning character from the original trilogy - BD Wong as Dr. Henry Wu - but that's not a drawback. All the necessary types are in place: Chris Pratt's Owen and Bryce Dallas Howard's Claire fill the heroic roles, Ty Simpkins' Gray and Nick Robinson's Zach are the annoying kids, Irrfan Khan is John Hammond's successor, and Vincent D'Onofrio is the unappealing military-type with his own agenda. Really, though, the Jurassic Park movies have never been about the human beings, be they Sam Neill's Alan Grant or Jeff Goldblum's Ian Malcom. They have been about the dinosaurs. Jurassic World features plenty of call-backs to Jurassic Park (including, I assume, the same T-Rex) but there are no cameos for Neill or Goldblum.

Despite having a slim resume (the quirky indie Safety Not Guaranteed), Trevorrow handles Jurassic World like a pro. He hits all the right notes, giving the two-dimensional characters as much heft as they deserve (which isn't much) and handling the action sequences like a seasoned veteran of Hollywood tent pole features. He references countless other monster movies, including obvious ones like King Kong and Godzilla and less evident choices like The Birds and (especially) Aliens. His style is part Spielberg/part Cameron.

Although this is essentially a big budget monster movie, the filmmakers aren't above a little social commentary/satire. They identify a vexing challenge faced by amusement parks: always having to amp up the thrill level of the attractions to lure back easily bored customers. This could also be seen as an observation about sequels in general and the Jurassic Park films in particular. One T-Rex was enough for the first film. Now, three movies later, we need the bigger, badder I-Rex. Jurassic World also takes some none-too-subtle jabs at corporate sponsorship and borrows from Aliens when reflecting on the military-industrial complex and how the soldier's mindset considers weaponizing dinosaurs.

Composer Michael Giacchino recognizes the importance of embracing John Williams' iconic themes rather than jettisoning them (as was done in Man of Steel). Guacchino gives us not only full orchestral renditions of the most noteworthy music but more subdued interpretations when those are appropriate. The dino-effects, both CGI and animatronic, are superior to those in the earlier Jurassic Park movies but that's not surprising considering how much things have advanced over the years. The 3-D is an utter and complete waste and is best avoided. It exists only because of the Hollywood mindset that all summer blockbusters must be released in 3-D to be considered legitimate.

Jurassic World leaves open the door for future installments but, while this is an enjoyable popcorn experience, it works best as a stand-alone follow-up. Trevorrow and his co-screenwriters deserve credit for milking two more worthwhile hours out of the Jurassic Park idea but there's nowhere else for the concept to go. It's played out. Another sequel would be folly. That's a future consideration, however (likely to be determined exclusively by $$). For now, there's only Jurassic World, which has taken the fossilized remains of a beloved franchise and given it a new life than many doubtlessly thought impossible.

The science of genetically designing new species of dinosaurs - Indominus Rex - was pretty fascinating. I'd go so far as saying this film could've been a hit as a mockumentary. But instead, they have to play out the worst-case-scenario and that's when all the implausibility happens and everyone goes, "gimme a break", like when the two kids outrun I-Rex at first, and then every time after that. When leads Owen and Claire go all "Romancing the Stone" on us running through the jungle with no training and in street clothes, and when all the flying dinos get loose in the park mall, everyone's just running around in the open getting picked off one by one like Hitchcock's "The Birds" on steroids. Then the final dino fight scene could've been superiorly epic but the director had to keep weaving the leads in which just added more and more stupid. The film's SFX were fabulous but forcing the integration of humans with them was this film's primary failing, as it is in so many other films. Recent films that stand out by getting this right include: Pacific Rim, Into the Storm, and Mad Max: Fury Road. Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Jurassic World, though not even stand close to the giant shoulders of it's progenitor, Jurassic Park, delivered in a way I had not expected it to. It successfully acknowledged the impact of the original film and I feel Director Colin Trevorrow understood that he would never be able to recapture that feeling of awe and wonder the original instilled in our hearts (the scene where the Brachiosaurus stands on it's two hind legs and grabs food from the tree springs to mind) and so instead chose to create a more modern installment to the Jurassic Park franchise.

Though at first I thought the Indominous Rex was an unnecessary addition to the film, I did eventually come to understand what significant role it played as part of the franchise, adding a modern element to the Dinosaurs (having been utterly genetically engineered) by reckless science in tandem with the massive modernization (and even futurism) of the facility itself.

The Human characters themselves were utterly arbitrary additions and generally this film lacked in any kind of solid plot or good storytelling. This was a film built for spectacle and on that front, it certainly delivered.

All in all, this wasn't a bad film but I would recommend leaving your brain and your expectations at home if you're planning on watching it.

I found these two mysterious kids as a left over that I don't even think I'll remember them, although it's confirmed that there will be another one. Now let's just move on to the action sequences. It gives it all, and it's more violent than the last three films which it did a great job in that. Its just so many hollywood cliches per minute. All the forced character development is really annoying.

Start of movie: two brothers who dont get along (young, kids, main characters), two sisters who dont get a long, one doesnt spend any time with family (the main character one), a marriage about to fall apart. Oh and two people (chris prat and main woman, who is also that sister who doesnt spend time with family) who went on one date and didnt like each other.

End of movie: Brothers are closer than ever, sisters are closer than ever, marriage crisis averted, and of course they fell in love somehow even though they pretty much hated each other the whole movie.

Nothing in the events of the movie actually moved any of these relationships along. they just got written to change with no explanation or reasonable on screen motive.

And just lots of really stupid "bad horror movie" stuff by people for no reasons. Its just hard to watch. I guess the dinosaur was cool.

This time around Spielberg was not only faced with the task of making this one better than the last but it also had to be good enough to draw attention away from the previous two movies and help the audience mend the mental scars that they had left behind.
Spielberg set on a quest to create something that would make the Jurassic Park fan base happy. With the new advances in technology since the other movies had been made, primarily CGI, this task was easily accomplished and provided an array of dinosaurs that were stupefying in composure and more realistic than one could have predicted. With a few key actors in the movie such as Chris Pratt, the movie instantly had a good amount of viewers anxiously waiting to see his most recent performance and determine how it stacked up to his other works. What makes the movie even better, depending on how you look at it, they even provided a little bit of romance as well as the family aspect in order to broaden the intended audience and attract even more viewers. As for the inevitable dinosaur throw down that is the main reason why people choose to watch these movies, Spielberg definitely follows through and delivers an amazing display of a dinosaur-death match. In all, the film has its high points also followed by lows but it delivers in the important parts that were vital in creating a good film.

The cast do a passable job, there was some awkward moments between Owen and Claire that where cringe worthy and most of the comedy in my opinion just wasn't funny at all. Vincent D'Onofrio for what little screen time he had was the only stand out performance in the movie and did a great job of what he had to work with.

There are so many implausibilities you finally come to the conclusion the filmmakers were trying to make a good "B" film. At one point a boy jumps in a lake, then a few minutes later his brother asks him "do you still have those matches", and the boy takes out a matchbox, which would have gotten soaking wet and ruined, but they are somehow perfectly dry. Then these two young boys get a jeep started and running perfectly that has been sitting for 20 years. I don't know how they could put air in the tires, much less start the engine. Dinosaurs actually talk to each other in this film. I could go on and on as many people have done. In the end I was entertained enough to make it to the end, but because it is simply a rehash of the original I can't give it a very high rating. Expand

If you get yourself hyped for this movie, don't because it will not exceed your expectations. However, it doesn't mean Jurassic World will disappoint you. Jurassic World is non-stop thriller that will excite and entertain fans.

Jurassic World is a good movie. It has got a good cast, good CGI, the story isn't bad at all, but it can't equal the magic of the first Jurassic Park.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Just finished watching Jurassic World...wow...what a steaming pile of **** that movie was.

If you are a fan of Jurassic Park and enjoyed that movie, like I do, do not even waste your time on Jurassic World.

The story was basically a rehash of the original, and the acting...I've seen better acting in old 70's porno's than what this crap-fest offered up.

As can be expected, the Special F/X were top-notch, but even that isn't enough to carry this poorly written & acted steaming pile of celluloid garbage.

Unless you have extremely low-expectations, or piss-poor taste, wait until this movie hits the $5.00 bargain bin at WalMart.

Fun movie with lots of action, laughs, and plenty of nostalgia. Pure popcorn enjoyment.

The only issues are with people who can't 'suspend disbelief'. Is it ridiculous? Absolutely. It's pure ridiculous fun!

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. This movie follows the exact same formula as the first movie: Expert is called to the park to give a green light to a particular aspect of the park, two kids are left under the questionable supervision of people who are not paying them any particular attention, and surprise! A large carnivore escapes and causes all sorts of chaos. The movie is bigger than the original: More dinosaurs escape, more people are in the park when it happens, and CG is overused with reckless abandon. Obvious nods to the first JP are milestones separated by groan-worthy story arcs (the two boys with the unhappy parents could have just not been in the movie and nothing would have changed, yet we're forced through awkward minutes of them discussing their parents' impending divorce) and are shoehorned in with such frequency that one could easily believe this movie is nothing more than a cash-in. Moments like these lead to one which took me out of the movie entirely, like one where the jeeps from the first park are made to run using twenty year old gasoline, oil, and batteries. Sorry, Jurassic World, not in this or any reality. The movie culminates in a grand climax that is ruined when a t-rex and a velociraptor give each other a 's'up bro' nod afterward instead of attempting to kill one another as they should have. This movie is potato chips: Everyone bought it but no one came away with any substance. Expand

Perhaps Ian Malcom said it best: " You didn't earn the knowledge for yourselves, so you don't take any responsibility for it. You stood on the shoulders of geniuses to accomplish something as fast as you could, and before you even knew what you had, you patented it, and packaged it, and slapped it on a plastic lunchbox, and now..."

And now.

Let me take you on a tour. The first thing you'll notice in JW are cliche stock characters: the woman so obsessed with her job she just needs a good strong man to make an honest woman out of her, the good strong man, the eeeevil, spoooky scientists, the money grubbing CEO......

Then you'll notice products. Products products products. Coke, Mercedes Benz, Samsung; at one point a child points out that a vine covered vehicle is a "1992 Jeep Wrangler..." because if you can't SHOW the product, you sure can have a child who inexplicably knows a lot about vehicles SAY the product.

Then, if you know anything about dinosaurs, you'll notice lots of mistakes. Like the mosasaurus being about 10 times bigger than it was in real life (the original JP took some liberties to make the dinos darker in shade than they probably were, but this movie is off the rails.)

Then you'll notice lots of logical inconsistencies. Like, after the Indominus Rex escapes, Bryce Dallas Howard's character is concerned that if they alert the crowd a dino is on the loose, the park will get closed. Are we supposed to believe that the resulting lawsuits from five peoples' deaths wouldn't shut the park down, anyway? Are we also supposed to believe that an ancient predator with a reptilian brain will just listen to Chris Pratt, because, reasons? Are we also supposed to believe that a military dude wants to steal raptors to use them in combat, even though they'd be unarmed and most wars are fought by drones, now, anyway?

Look, I didn't go into this movie with a bad outlook. I went into it hoping they might recapture some of the old magic. But this movie is all about loose plots with no emotional weight, big logical leaps, overdone product placement to the point you feel like you're watching a commercial, and to be completely honest, action scenes that are all special-effect with no exciting tension.

Stupid movie. If you are in a critical situation where you nephews are in danger, you don't waste time seeing a dinosaur die, you want to save your family! The acting was awful, and the part of two different wild animals from the past join forces to defeat another is so dumb! I know it is a movie for kids but come on, our children aren't stupid. The dialog and the plot are terrible also. Theres only one thing that I liked, the special effects, aren't the best but were decent. That's all, if you want to waste 3 hours of your life, go and see this movie.

Anyway, having said that, I enjoyed this one. Chris Pratt was very good in it and so was Bryce Dallas Howard. There were, of course, a few flaws: There's this thing where the kids' parents are getting divorced that doesn't have any relevance to the plot, the ending line fell flat and-the most ridiculous thing-how on earth was Bryce Dallas Howard able to outrun a friggin' T-Rex in HIGH HEELS? But, problems aside, the movie delivered just what I wanted-people running for their lives while getting chased by dinosaurs. I don't know how it compares to the first movie but it's an entertaining film all the same. Expand

So I just finished watching it and I'm still actually in shock of how terrible this movie really is! From the miscasting, to the screenplay, to the storyline, to even the CGI effects...nothing is redeeming about this film! I mean, come on...it's obvious someone was a Julianna Moore obsession but as in Hollywood, she's to old for this genre so they put in a copy of her that can't act her way out of a paper bag. Chris Pratt, really like the the guy and think he's a good actor but not for this part. The kids, forget it cause you really do forget about them during the film. So save your money especially if you've seen or read Jurassic Park because it literally is a complete clone of the movie. I was waiting the whole time for the parks computer system to lock everyone in...shame on Spielberg btw. Expand

I have no beef with cgi and the critters, small and large, look impressive for this day and age. Give me some more.

The MacGuffin is a mini Godzilla, a human created predator broken loose and on the prowl. Godzilla is a very smart cookie and possessed with the mentality of a rabid dingo on a blood drive, always an ideal combination for a predator the size of a small hill. It wants braaaiins..eh blood.. lots and lots and mostly human at that.

Godzilla is also blessed with various other advantages, such as being bullet proof and being provided with a 10000 mega whack density field, which makes living things increasingly more dense the closer they get to the big meat eater. Humans tend to behave in remarkably stupid ways when near the monster. Like there is this guy handling a gatling machinegun who fails to make proper use of it even though it should not be too hard to hit a thirty feet tall creature with it.. Also whenever anyone has a gun that he or she might shoot the big creature with, he or she forgets to use it or just misses the giant monstrosity.. and even whey they finally manage to hit it by firing lots and lots of bullets, they just bounce off the armored hide..

During the movie Godzilla realizes how pathetic the screaming hairless monkeys really are and tasks itself to end their suffering by biting their heads off. Make the pain go away! It must have thought, after it consulted the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM) IV. It also manages to convince a bunch of raptors to assist it in its noble goal. And they even get assistance of a flock of flying dinosaurs who dutifully lift some of the hairless monkeys and toss them into a big basin where a huge whale like dinosaur has just finished eating a large white shark and appreciates the humans for afters.

Meanwhile there is a red haired profit oriented control freak, who is the female lead, who convinces the free spirited motor bike enthusiast dinosaur whisperer male lead to forgo a potential shag in his rickety-rackety outhouse so as to help her save some kids from being eaten by the nasty big thunder lizard. We can then witness the embarrassing trite acting of these two as the stuck up biatch mellows into pools filled with tear eyed admiration when the biker drives into the jungle accompanied by his raptor buddies to stop that big brute.

When the raptors betray his trust he has to high tail it out of there, but somewhat later the lizard whisperer convinces the raptors to become suicidal and attack Godzilla again. Which works as expected: killing the little buggers, until biatch incites a T-rex to stop Godzilla from eating the last one. Everyone tries to follow this big fight on their handhelds and mobiles, only to discover that at random moments they fail. What a bummer, they must have thought, but they can always buy the movie and watch this all over again.(And they are welcome to it).

Things get eaten and things get smashed to tiny bits as part of product placements. If you didn't already know it.: that car the biatch drives is a Mercedes and gets flattened in scene 3! And the shop that raptor Delta wrecks in scene 76 is Starbucks. And the undies lizard boy is stripping out of during the intimate scene with the red head, has a male name on the front, but that one is edited out because this movie is PG-13. The male lead does shag the female lead, but that is reserved for the producer's cut or the redux version that will hit Amazon in 2017. And the computer network that hampers communications is called SkyNet..oh wait.. that is from another movie.

The story thus far:
-something makes sense.. but let us call you when we find the right version of the script.
- there are some actors in there doing something, but they might have walked in from another movie and we call you when we figured this one out..
- we lost the very big lizard because it camouflaged itself, doesn't show up on our infrared sensors and it removed the transmitter from it's body so we can't pinpoint its exact position, but we inform you once we located it.
- that our phones don't work really, so we just drop by to talk to you about having a shag in the deprecated bungalow at a beach in Costa Rica..

And you don't think that is silly?

Before you starting to throw rocks at me, here is the only reason why i think this movie is the best in the series (including the original) - simply because it is superbly entertaining.

The first film had a groundbreaking special effects, and the first hour or so was amazing, but when the shix hit the fan, it wasn't so exciting anymore. I always believed the human characters were weak in the first movie, although actors and acting were very solid, somehow for me second part of the movie was simply boring. Yes. Second movie was the worst Steven Spielberg's movie yet, even Steven Spielberg have admit it. The third was OK, better then 2nd by a mile.

That said, "Jurassic World" should have been the true sequel to the original. It is bigger, louder and more entertaining - everything that a good sequel must have. Special effects in here are truly special, i don't see any movie this year who could steal the best special effects Oscar from "Jurassic World" - they aren't groundbreaking, but they are truly spectacular. Acting was very cool, as well as cinematography and very solid directing. Now i kinda see why this guy will helm one of the new "Star Wars" movies, which about i was skeptical before seeing "Jurassic World".

Overall, "Jurassic World" is a highly entertaining movie. Best of all is to see it with friends on the biggest screen possible, it is a helluva entrainment, not a perfect one, but the best from this franchise yet.

This film's absurdity doesn't even begin connecting every other synonym, describing the disaster seen. Do people this silly, really think that when making TV a franchise might cough up some numbers here? Entertainment often comes from a functioning story executing excitement throughout the ride invested, than we will go out and purchase, watching again. Not because somebody thinks hmm any braindead will buy into their brands.

What action and CGI? The action throughout this film was constantly repeated shown by that same Trex yawning. Seriously though the action shown, looked like some kind of 50's playdo. Otherwise those cave people in their thongs escaping from all of the other scary beasts. However those cave people often came from much better plots than this film's tripe.

Do us all a favour and think next time? If your making a Dolly the dinosaur clone just put a lethal kill switche inside of it's brain, popping when that beast even starts to show signs of escape. Not some kind of a tracker it can claw out? I mean dinosaurs just love scratching their heads, figuring all kind of ways to prison break and release all of the other most wanted inmates, the Pterodatyls. Wait the film gets way better when the cloned dinosaur was combined with every other venomous species of DNA, and it started communicating on Dr. Moreau's island to all of the domesticated military grade raptors, who were also trained as sniffer dogs for whatever drugs that these producers are using. Instead of it's DNA exploding from functioning like Platypus. Anyhow evil Dolly the Trex becomes leader of the pack, saying kill ze humans, hail your new cloned leader, quickly escape get some take away their are some real tasty humans. Although the raptors are all torn emotionally between their loyalty, seen in some kind of puppy love. RPG's have failed to kill any of the beasts. They decide to release a real Trex instead, for the Trex mating ritual of all the teeth and claws, even the little baby raptor decides to join in. Finally later Crocasharkosaur back flips out of the aquarium, impossibly, because it really should have been feasting on all the tourists previously., I mean evolve. I guess it had gotten super hungry becauce it was bigger with the fins that tried to evolve into feet, and any mosquitoes love the ocean salt, a home to all kind of amber. Finally the good animals have won, helping the humans escape their failed amusements.

Somewhere else glass balls stop thousand of tonnes of weight, because glass must be all kind of unbreakable. Rhinosaurs were only herbivores anyway, meaning they cannot see red. Anyhow our heroes walk on under, right on through earthquakes. A Richter scale with thousands of tonnes stomping and crashing would see people flying through air throughout that rampage. The human heroes like their dinosaurs counterparts were completely RPG proof.

Crichton knew that the park would never re-open to the public. Why did these producers think to franchise this stupidity? Stupidity seen in complete and utter devolution on everything else previous.

You have a dangerous new spliced DNA big bad dinosaur, trained raptors and Vincent D'Onfrio (Full Metal Jacket) as a warmonger who wants to use raptors as a weapon of war. While the "Let them fight!" line from Godzilla is more fitting for Jurassic World. Since it doesn't shy away from dinosaurs battling it out or pan away from the action like Godzilla frustratingly did. This movie is awesome!

I went in with really low expectations, but was quite surprised by how good the film was. It is entertaining and it gives some props to the original JP which were some of the best moments in the film. Pratt and Howard worked exceedingly well in there roles and the story was actually not bad for the fourth entry in the series. There was a little too much action and CGI gobbily **** as the film went on which became predictable and boring for the last 30 minutes which is why I think it could have been better. Anyway, it's no way near as good as the original, but way better the JP III. I would put it on the same level as the Lost World.
