This film is beautiful, pretty well-executed, a damn good family movie, and really manages to evoke the feelings it wants to. Of course, the problem being that the story is full of cliche, and as far as I'm concerned, it didn't tackle any interesting issues enough to warrant it higher than an 8 really. Basically, this is nothing more than a very cliche film formula executed a little better than normal, made very pretty and family friendly. Expand

It's about long-haired, meat eating Native Americans!! Those big, blue guys are the Lakota Sioux (the Green Berets of the plains) fighting off the evil U.S. Cavalry and even eviler General Custer! Our hero is even an homage (or ripp-off) of the Kevin Costner character from Dances with Wolves. You know, white guy goes native then leads the noble savages to victory against his former countrymen!!! There's also characters (the suit working for the mysterious company that's out to rape the planet) and plot devices from the the greatest science fiction movie franchise ever, Alien, Aliens, Alien 3 and Alien Resurrection. And guess who starred in all four - Sigourney Weaver! All is not lost however, because fortunately, sometime in the first three minutes of the film our soon to go blue native hero mentions that back on Earth he and his fellow marines fought for freedom, but now they're actually hired guns working for the Company. Good thing the producers made it clear that these were not U.S. marines on active duty or people like me would of been picketing theaters. In fact, this too is a borrowed motif from Alien and Aliens which also starred former U.S. soldiers now hiring themselves out as mercenaries for the (they learn later) evil Company. Me and boys re-played the WWII dogfight footage inspired gunship vs. Gaia worshipping warriors (with lovely lady shamans too) over and over. Fantastic action and the underdog good guys even win! Wow, talk about tapping into the American sympathies while still condemning America's nature raping, military hardware loving and George Bush inspired mperialistic aspirations. I wish I'd had a chance to invest in the film early on so I could too could of criticized the good ol' U.S. of A. while making a ton of money off its economy too!!!!! Expand

Avatar: Where Can I Get One of Those? For any person living in the eastern part of the United States, taking that long trek to the local movie theater probably was the last thing on your mind, while the thoughts of hot chocolate, and Avatar: Where Can I Get One of Those? For any person living in the eastern part of the United States, taking that long trek to the local movie theater probably was the last thing on your mind, while the thoughts of hot chocolate, and watching the snow was a higher priority. Yet even with the weather arduously not helping, Avatar starring Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldana, and Sigourney Weaver, still flashed onto to silver screen with something to prove. For anyone walking into this movie without any prior knowledge other than primetime trailers, they will be dazed and thrilled with the kaleidoscopic world brought from the reaches of the universe. Which is why it becomes no surprise to hear that Director James Cameron had been waiting to produce this movie for over fifteen years, only being stopped by CGI and limitations. However, once a $500 million budget was procured and graphics were to his visionary standard, everything was golden. And golden it was. Right from first ten minutes you get the essential story: Worthington was a Jarhead that was hurt, had a brother that died and got the chance to take his place on a science expedition on Pandora, a Earth-type moon with natural inhabitants, the Navi that are not happy with what humans are doing. From there the stage is set to meet the rest of the cast, and learn that Worthington job is to run an Avatar, a human-made version of the Navi to help learn their culture and get to know them better. However there is a hitch in the scientific plans in the form of Stephen Langs character, the officer in charge of the defense and mining of an important ore on Pandora. Langs only goal is to remove the Navi so that they can mine the hell out of the planet. Thus it is the fate of Worthingtons character to be stuck in the middle, battling with his conscious. The plot flows effortlessly between a steady dose of character development, action, and humor, which guarantees that most will be enthralled with the world presented. Worthingtons character Jake Sully, who has always been a solider, keeps the motto of speak only when it really counts. This makes him a good pair along Weavers character Grace, who is the lead scientist for the Avatar program. Cameron takes a lot of what made Weavers character amazing from Aliens and brought it back here, keeping her snarky and to the point. Yet the large selling point for the mammoth was its CGI and how they incorporated it. Im not going to try and sugarcoat it here; theres a lot. About 80% of this movie is based purely on the computer renditions of the actors while they are scurrying around out in the dense tropical forests of Pandora. And while the concept of it caused a bit of a ruckus before opening, they pulled it off flawlessly. Everything from the luminescent trees to the exotic creatures in this utopian world looked and fit perfectly into place. Whats more is that the facial and body structures of each character really made you feel like they were meant to exist. Especially watching Saldanas character Neytiri and how each movement in her face looked perfectly natural is an accomplishment. In fact, in most of the Navi, you could see almost the exact actor or actress behind their characters eyes, and know that they in fact were doing those exact movements. Cameron does an amazing job bringing you a masterful story, yet at times he almost loses both himself and the viewer in what he was talking about. The fanciful plants and pictures everywhere, the almost Bay-ish humor that would spring up on occasion, (which I feel is at no fault to Cameron, rather a ploy to get younger viewers more involved) you could have the potential to forget what Cameron is trying to get across in this episodic fantasy; and thats everyone and everything has a life. You observe as the Navi savor every twig, every leaf, pray to every kill they hunt for food, never enjoying what they do. It is a concept that stems from the 90s, yet has followed Cameron and has become a bigger part of todays world, with the threats of global warming and movies like The Inconvenient Truth. While Camerons intent was not to preach and to bring about the age of utopian society with nature, he walk back to the screen with a carpet of glowing moss under his feet, and nobody heard him coming. After a year and a half, the film became the highest-grossing film ever made. Now it appears with his new film, Avatar he may top that. Without explaining the plot the film was overall a masterful film which overcomes the thought of it being a traditional film. The film presents an alternate form of conquest when mankind had lost it's passion and respect, demonstrated in how the main characters and the military base they work at appears in a monotone colour scheme of dark greys and greens while the surrounding planet is vibrant in its colour. Acting wise the film had a mixed result. Sigourney Weaver came off as the best in the film with every line she said being sarcastic or semi-humor. Michelle Rodriguez on the other hand, while good in her role, served the basic purpose of being eye-candy. Sam Worthington was mixed, while he did good at delivering his lines, his narrations at parts in the film felt stiff. The special effects worked very well, after a while they become part of the movie and you forget that it is CGI. While the film was overall well-done their were faults. For the first half the film is confusing and does not seem like it will improve. it feels annoying, but improves after the main character is lost in the forest. Some parts such as the general not dying when he should die feels like the editor should have fixed this. Another problem, not related to the film was the 3D process. It used a 1980's 3D process which involved clear stripe 3D glasses and it was not needed for this film. The film has around two to three moments where the effect works, but the whole movie is in 3D so during most of the film it becomes an annoying problem, it would have been better if they has simply not released a 3D version. In the end while these faults are prevalent, the film bypasses most of these faults, expect the 3D faults, and works as an excellently written and visually beautiful film. Expand

Saw it in IMAX 3D and the action sequences and camera movement at the beginning of the movie was just blurred and unwatchable (and it wasn't just me). I dont know if there was an issue with the reels, the movie, or the theater's technology, or if it was simply my (our) eyes adjusting but it improved later in the film. The 3D seemed to be full of glitches, for example, VTOLs in the background (many of them in a scene, not just one) appearing depth-wise in front of glass that they were actually behind, but it was pretty good in many spots. A nice and entertaining movie that however sets its priorities on visuals rather than characters and storyline.

I remember pre-release talk about Avatar. People already called it a colossal failure. The idea of "blue-cat people" and a $200 million budget was probably convincing. But James Cameron delivers yet again.

Avatar is visually the most beautiful film ever made. Every piece of background is striking. The forests and mountains are created to give a unique and enchanting atmosphere rather than something earthly. The various beasts that roam are given such detail and life-like movement that even the scariest are a beauty on the outlook. Even the labs feel bright. The technology displayed leaves one in awe. It is so amazing that the idea of avatars becomes immediately delightful. And 3D? Avatar was built to look that way. Realistic fiction at its height.

The soundtrack sounds tribal and classical with the drum pounds and the orchestra pieces. And it adds to the breathtaking experience visualized in Avatar.

The storyline is pretty basic, which is a gift and a curse. It's a gift because there are no complex details to focus on. It's a curse because it is cliched. But the real reason the story falls a bit is because of a lack of full character development. Cameron unfortunately has not given enough time for the characters to grow instead he shows off the dazzling visuals. Jake Sully's transformation of character feels flawed and incomplete. At the end, it did not quite feel as though he had grown into the avatar. And the military is shown more as sadistic and greedy, something very anti-American. Sigourney Weaver's character is at first harsh and then suddenly sympathetic towards the Na'vi. That change isn't calculated well enough.

James Cameron's previous blockbuster, Titanic, was similarly criticized before and eventually acclaimed. Whereas Titanic had good story and developed characters and stunning visuals, Avatar succeeds because of the visuals solely. However, it is still a worthy movie to watch.

From his filmography, such as: ALIENS (1986), TERMINATOR (1984), TERMINATOR 2: JUDGEMENT DAY (1991), TRUE LIES (1994), and TITANIC, we should not doubt Cameron resume. In 1997, TITANIC won 11 Oscars, to be equal with BEN-HUR (1959) as all-time best achievement in Academy Awards. Casts of AVATAR are: Sam Worthington, Michelle Rodriguez, Giovanni Ribisi, and Sigourney Weaver (who already became Fighter-woman Icon in Cameron ALIENS). Thiz movie has a unique story that reflects the originality of the script. While we were watching AVATAR, made us did not realized that 90% of the movie is actually animation. The technology itself has reached the new level of breakthrough. They definitely already set up the bar so high to be challenge in the coming years. The stunning moment that I like to watch over and over again is the night scene of forest landmark. The forest describe fills with unique plants shine and glow on surroundings. There is something mystique and beautiful about that scene. The great thing I like about AVATAR is that the theme about environmental issue is very strong. Overall, in my opinion, Thiz movie also had a tremendous hidden-philosophy inside about human need, environmental, and human heart. Like I said before, Open your eyes, The dream is over.. Close your eyes, It is still a dream. The Blue-man rocks!

In 3D it is absolutely breath-taking. Though I'm not generally a fan of this latest craze (there have been very few examples of well-used 3D), Avatar really does show the technology's potential. You are transported to a completely believable alien world - you can almost feel Pandora's air on your face. The environmental message, while not by any means new, is presented convincingly, and with aplomb. Sam Worthington also proves himself as a credible leading man. The plot is uncreative, however - let's be honest, it's Pocahontas in space. And why "unobtainium", Jim, why? Cliched and with a couple of missteps it may be, but by God Avatar is a thing of beauty. The movie is well crafted, having stunning visual design and an entertaining (enough) story, but James Cam is smarter than what this movie actually is and has deliberately held off from making a more original, truly entertaining, and deep science fiction movie. The light science fiction themes the movie does have are good and relevant in our digital age of internet avatars, I just wished they did more with them. "Avatar: 3D the IMAX Experience" Brief Review! "B"

Most of you have probably already seen it, and some of you may not have an IMAX nearby. However, the effects and visuals for the 3D IMAX were very cool. The world was vibrant and interesting. The movie story was a bit trite and predictable, though they did a decent enough job trying to eliminate (most) of the massive plot holes a sci-fi story that requires a lot of suspension of disbelief can create. I thought they tried too hard on the Sigourney Weaver "Avatar", because no one else remotely looked like her. Otherwise, it was an enjoyable enough experience with a "C" Plot and story, but an "A" for effects and visuals. Worth checking out.

My favorite moments involved the Avatar Training Montage and the glowy everything. Also, I am pretty sure that was Brian from "Wings" as one of the soldiers. As a note, prepare for a whole lot more IMAX 3D - Shrek, Toy Story, Alice in Wonderland, Spider Man, and more are among those on tap... And there's a rumor that... They are going to do Taxi Driver in 3D... Ok...

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. James Cameron has succeeded where George Lucas failed.

That was the one phrase that went through my head on the drive back from the theater. What I mean is, the promise of the CGI technology that Lucas sought in the prequels and failed to achieve, Cameron has gone and fulfilled it. The visuals are a hair away from being photorealistic. It never felt terrible to look at. The 3D is the best I've ever seen and really added to the experience. Absolutely worthwhile for the extra 5 dollars on the ticket, I thought.

Story and dialogue... there's some issues. It's not quite up to par with the visual technology. I'm not gonna go and say it's my favorite Cameron film, Aliens is still there. But it's not so far from that level of quality. Certainly closer then Titanic ever was. As a pure cinematic experience, it delivers.

That was the general overview. Now for the in depth stuff:

Ya know, what's most impressive might just be how Cameron's subverted his entire legacy. What do I mean by that? Well, let's see... in Aliens, he made us root for the space marines as they desperately fought against getting eaten and horribly mutilated by giant aliens. In Avatar, he's actually made us root for the giant aliens as they desperately fought to eat and horribly mutilate the space marines. A much greater feat, I think. (In case you were wondering, I was referring to the scene of the Banshees biting marines and throwing em out of the helos.)

The delivery of the story is pretty damn close to the Cameron we've all known and love. The final huge battle scene... just beautiful action setpieces and payoff. It all clicks together. We don't quite have to suffer all summer under a bunch of hacks and one guy named Michael Bay. You could call this whole December tale The Return of the King. Cameron's returned and god bless him, he's still the king of action. I know my action, Aliens is one of my 5 favorite films of all time, and he has not let us down.

That was the delivery of the story. The actual story itself... ugh. This is problematic for me. Maybe it would have helped if I'd been some sorta tree hugging hippie liberal, but despite living in San Francisco, I am not. So the story really uh... didn't work that well for me. I've never watched Dances with Wolves, but I can completely understand what they mean when they say this film is Dances with Wolves in Space. It basically is just this tale about the white man moving in and trying to take the land of the poor Indians. And how we have to fight back. Jake's whole speech before the battle there kinda nailed it. Though I found it funny how he said "They will not take our land!" Our land, Jake? Last time I checked, you were a human. You're not a native. It's not quite your land. But uh... yea, this whole story was just so cliched and predictable and the overall themes were so bluntly put... it did begin to nag at me. It was bothersome. The Naavi themselves seem to be a hybrid of Indians and Africans. When it's about taking their land, it's obviously an Indian reference. But they also have dreadlocks and they do the weird chanting and the music gives us these shrieks and moans... those remind me more of African influences. But yea, the story's about the white man being greedy and taking the land of Indian/Africans. And they have to fight back while riding horses and using bows and arrows. It's just so heavy handed and obvious.

And the **** lame Bush references... oh my god. It's just Cameron hitting us over the **** head over and over again. It's just not good. Lines like "We will fight terror with terror" and "Jake, they're planning some sort of shock and awe campaign." I mean, jesus christ. What were you thinking? Aliens was clearly about Vietnam in some manner, but it wasn't that obnoxious about it, was it? Those lines just killed the scenes for me. You could hear the snarky laughter in the audience. Just... ugh, cut it out. We get it dude, you didn't like Bush. We also know you don't like destroying the environment. Thanks for the hints. We should probably also save the whales, right? That's what you're about too, right? Subtlety... more subtlety please.

Okay, let's talk about that one scene... ya know, the uh, the iffy scene. I was totally with the story, going with it up to that point quite well... it was working on me, and I was along for the ride but man... that SCENE. You know the one. Where Jake and the blue cat princess finally... bump uglies. Now, I'd been going along with Cameron but that scene made me feel very very uncomfortable. Like I was watching something a furry would be getting off on. And yea, I know the Naavi don't have any fur. But still... it felt very wrong and disturbing. One of those times where you just manage to let out some nervous laughter.

While the story is a familiar one, it is expertly told and very well written. The acting is solid and works well in the film. The direction from James Cameron is inspired and matches the expansive and daring chances taken in the visual storytelling of the film. However, the true stars are the visual effects team who do a truly phenomenal job to bring this story to life. With breathtaking visual effects and fantastic cinematography, Avatar comes to life through the visuals and breathes new life into a familiar, yet incredibly engaging, storyline. Due to this visual plethora of eye candy, Avatar reaches new levels never seen before in film that really elevates the film as an overall piece. While many leave Avatar feeling underwhelmed due to the now familiar use of CGI, 3D, and the bland story, I was left awestruck. While the visuals have led to a new trend in film, of which Avatar was the first, its effects hold up and, honestly, may still be the best use of its effects to date. A wonderous achievement, Avatar is a truly phenomenal work. Expand

The 3D technology was also inferior to the laser IMAX 3D films I saw in the late 90s, in those, things actually jumped out in the theater right in front of your seat, with this 3D technology? nope, things just kind of pop out a few feet in front of the screen only. The plot of the movie was okay, a not-so-subtle criticism of the Pentagon (you seen a pentagon around their map board) and/or Military Industrial Complex wanting to destroy the natural habitat of the indigenous people. This movie dragged a lot in parts though, it was longer than it needed to be, they should have cut out those dragging sections, it would have been much better then. Visually it is utterly breathtaking. Special effect are some of the best to date. Then again it's Cameron, can we expect any less?!

Visuals aside it really isn't to much to brag about. This story has been told countless times before, the only difference is that this time it's big blue aliens. Performances are decent all around, but nothing too spectacular. I feel that Hollywood must have a standard contract clause that obligates Sigorney Weaver to start in any and every Sci-fi (or creature) movie. All hail the Queen of Weird.

Overall:
Avatar has been blown out of proportions by the general media and the casual moviegoer and isn't as grand as it pretends to be. It's a simple story that follows a traditional story arc to a predictable end. Don't get me wrong I still thoroughly enjoyed, I just don't see it as anything more than it is. A good movie with kick ass effects.

But despite his broken body, Jake is still a warrior at heart. He is recruited to travel light years to the human outpost on Pandora, where a corporate consortium is mining a rare mineral that is the key to solving Earth's energy crisis. Because Pandora's atmosphere is toxic, they have created the Avatar Program, in which human "drivers" have their consciousness linked to an avatar, a remotely-controlled biological body that can survive in the lethal air. These avatars are genetically engineered hybrids of human DNA mixed with DNA from the natives of Pandora... the Na'vi. Reborn in his avatar form, Jake can walk again. He is given a mission to infiltrate the Na'vi, who have become a major obstacle to mining the precious ore. But a beautiful Na'vi female, Neytiri, saves Jake's life, and this changes everything. Jake is taken in by her clan, and learns to become one of them, which involves many tests and adventures. As Jake's relationship with his reluctant teacher Neytiri deepens, he learns to respect the Na'vi way and finally takes his place among them. Pandora as a universe is immersive, believable and fascinating; so much creativity and attention to detail was put into the creatures, the plants and everything surrounding it. It completely drew me into the movie experience and made me forget about the mediocre and uncreative story. It didn't matter, because all the emotion was conveyed through visuals, and that worked incredibly well.

The base story is pretty basic: the humans want something and will take it from the alliens by force unless Jake Sully can convince the aliens to hand it over. It evolves into a tale of learning their customs, bonding with them, and eventually siding with them (them being the aliens). I can't say it's "platiinum status" but I've watched it at least four times and I still enjoy it (and again, the plot is not garbage). Expand

The storyline itself isn't the greatest but this movie was just amazing to watch in 3D. I was blown away when I first watched this movie and it led the way towards the 3D era.

Major probs to James Cameron who managed to give life to this CGI and green-screen world. But still everything on this fictional planet Pandora feels bland and we're given little to no information about how big it is or how many species there are. I have the feeling we only get to see this small part of the planet almost like a little country and nothing more. I wanted to see more of this amazing world instead of going on this emotional struggle with main-character Jake Sully (played decent by Sam Worthington). Even tough the stuff you see in this movie is very decent and sometimes very good I think the story overall was a bit underwhelming. This world has so much potential (and yes we are getting sequels) and it's made to look so beautiful by James Cameron and the whole crew that I just wanted more. But besides the story, the cast is doing a decent enough job and the writing, while very explanatory, is also very decent and then off course the visuals are amazing; which make this movie so amazing to watch. And I watched it only now and missed little. It's definitely not the best film of Cameron's career. In my personal opinion, he will not even get into the TOP 5. Avatar refers to those films that need to be watched only in the cinema and only in IMAX. This is the only way to get true pleasure from it. But even after 14 years, the film looks amazing in terms of CGI quality level. It's really amazing. Yes, now it is perceived as a given, but in 2009 it was shaking. The story itself is clearly relegated to the background. Avatar is like Crysis in the video industry. Beautiful and technological, but boring and empty in essence. Expand

I confess that this film never really caught my eye until I read about it. I still remember when it was in theaters more than ten years ago. More recently, I decided to see it. I still remember when it was in theaters more than ten years ago. More recently, I decided to see it. The film was a success, as we all know, and I find it surprising that I didn't have the right to any sequels.

The script takes place in a distant future, when humans have ruined the Earth but are colonizing and exploring other planets like Pandora, where Jake Sully, a veteran of the Marines, is going after being recruited by a scientific program. Pandora has a rare and valuable ore that humans want, but it also allows the planet to have an exuberant and unusual biological life. It happens to be inhabited by natives called Naavi (who look like huge blue humans with a long tail), and they are determined to protect their world from the greed of the Terran's. Sully joins the Avatar Program, which allows him to remotely control the body of a Naavi. If the program allows humans to live and learn from them (as its director, scientist Dr. Grace, wants), it also turns them into Trojan horses (as Colonel Miles, commander of the military forces in Pandora, wishes). This will put Sully in a conflict of loyalties while allowing him to see how the natives are connected to their world and are inseparable from it.

The plot raises a number of pertinent questions. We can, for example, reflect on the way we have lived and managed our planet, on the superiority with which we see who is different from us, on how we despise the environment or deliberately harm it by greed, on our passion for war instead of peaceful conflict resolution or even about how technological and medical advances do not reach everyone and are put at the service of some wealthy people instead of being available to all. It is a script that makes you think and could be seen in many ways. Unfortunately, the story built on these premises is not so good. There is good material and the way Sully is divided in his loyalty as he lives with the natives is the backbone of the whole thing, but everything else is quite predictable and one-dimensional, and sometimes it sounds bad: humans are treated in a simplistic way and turned into despicable creatures, while the Naavi are idealized to the fullest. The old story of "good guys and bad guys".

Sam Worthington shows all his talent in a demanding and likeable character. He plays well with Zoe Saldaña, his alien romantic couple. The actress is excellent and was having a good time in her career then. I also liked the work of Sigourney Weaver, in the role of a strong, bossy and grumpy scientist, who is guided by her ideals even if it means facing the military. But the best of the cast ends here. The rest are reduced to one-dimensional and stupid characters, as is the case with Stephen Lang (the "brute like the stones" colonel who only thinks about his mission), Michelle Rodríguez (the military hot girl who decides to collaborate with the "goodies" instead of helping the "baddies"), Giovanni Ribisi (one of the" baddies"), Joel David Moore (one of the" goodies"), Laz Alonso, CCH Pounder, Wes Studi (the "perfect ones") etc. This was somewhat disappointing in a film with so many qualities and such a high budget.

It is in the technical aspects that this film excels. Directed by James Cameron, an avid fan of the green screen and a "rival" of Spielberg, it's a film that was built on top of an entire digital world. Thanks to this feature, Cameron can become a god for a minute and create a new universe with plants and animals that we have never seen and that exude beauty. The film has a spectacular cinematography and it does not pass five minutes without, in some way, making us hold our breath before such a show of color and light. Sound effects are very well-used also. Together with an epic and magnificent soundtrack by James Horner, we have the recipe for a blockbuster film that collected three Oscars in technical categories (Best Cinematography, Best Visual Effects and Best Art Direction), with all the fairness and merit. I really feel sorry that I didn't see it on the big screen and that Cameron is so careless when it comes to the script and the story he tells us.

Whether one is a fan of 3D or not, James Cameron has done something incredible and changed cinema forever. I may not be a big fan of 3D, but I love it and it gives such Marvel movies a tasty extra juice in my opinion. I can thank Cameron for that. Thank you. Unfortunately, the main movie that is supposed to be the best thing about 3D I didn't get to see in the theater. That's when Avatar somehow passed me by. I didn't get to it until years later. I have to say I'm sorry I didn't see it in the cinema, but even at home on a proper TV with good speakers it was a real blast. It's a wonderful show. Really beautiful. Beautiful scenery with amazing creatures and especially the Avatars themselves look phenomenal. The story is great, but what we think doesn't play a major role here. It's the environment that plays the main role, along with the effects and phenomenal action. I also have to praise the wonderful soundtrack, which underlined the whole splendor. With this film, the better the facility where you watch the film, the better the experience. Avatar is a MUST-SEE for me and a great film that I recommend. Expand

Forget characterizations, plot rip-offs, or incredibly inane dialogue for a second; from a simple visual perspective this is a truly extraordinary accomplishment and a feast for the eyes and the imagination. From the images of the med tech floating in amongst the freshly awakening pod-soldiers to the multi-nostril snorting of the banshees to the luminescence landscapes of the Pandora forests this is well worth the trip to lose yourself and take in the incredible creations. This is truly a testament to Cameron's maniacal attention to detail and bombastic tree-hugging visions. However, I did say wait a second for the characterizations, plot rip-offs and incredibly inane dialogue. Given the time and the cost of this movie, can you imagine how much better it would have been had there been a marginally equivocal investment in script -writing and casting? As much as I was blown away by the imagery I was equally blown away by the wasted opportunity to develop the Na Expand
