THE HOUSE OF THE DEAD: Remake and the Xbox Series X|S upgrade updates the classic for a new generation. It’s the best way to play the game, unless you know where one of those old arcade cabinets is stashed.

Intro: No one leaves this house alive... or so they say.

What is It: If you are like me, a guy who grew up with many arcade games as a kid back in the early and mid 2000s, you are probably familiar with the game House of the Dead. If not, It's a arcade shooter game that follows the player in a zombie infested mansion with a madman creating zombies and monsters that will kill anybody who gets close by. The game was originally fitted to use light guns to shoot down zombies and rack up them sweet sweet points to get a high score through 4 different chapters of the game.

The Good: The game looks freaking great on the Series X/S and the controls are very simple and easy to use. The price tag of this game, which is around 20 bucks, is also a decent price for this classic arcade experience. The game has multiple kinds of enemies to face and has some really cool and interesting environments to fight in. Also, while not too hard, the Bosses in this game can give you a bit of a run for your money. The game itself also can give you a nice challenge if you're up for it.

The Bad; Honestly, the only bad thing about this game is that I wish they added more areas for content. Definitely a missed opportunity to add more story here, but It's an arcade game which are usually not that long in general.

Overall: It's a great remake of the classic game. With great controls and bad voice lines that sound so good, I honestly think its a game worth trying when you can. Just don't expect it to be a long experience and you got a great arcade experience right at home.
