    Puyo Puyo Tetris 2 is the return of the most expected crossover, with an endless number of game modes and a new adventure mode that makes it a renewed and very fun proposal.

    Just like the first game, Puyo Puyo Tetris 2 is a joy to play. Whether you love just Puyo Puyo, or Tetris, or both, you’ll find something to enjoy here. Beautifully presented with over-the-top characters, larger-than-life animations and a bright and bold colour palette, it’s a game that’s impossible to play without a silly smile on your face. Apart from when you’re losing, that is. But you’ll always pick yourself up and play again – it’s too infectious not to.

    Puyo Puyo Tetris 2 is a solid sequel that is worth checking out for Skill Battle alone. For those that skipped the first game it is a must, for anyone who has exhausted it, it might be wise to give it time to go on sale. Either way the game is a blast and one of the premiere puzzle games currently available. It helps that it is available on everything, so no matter where you play, there is a cute quirky puzzler you can enjoy.

    For those who have yet to experience the joy of Puyo Puyo Tetris, this sequel provides a lot of fun in its off the wall story and its in-depth multiplayer options. However, the majority of this fun is held over from the original release, and there's just not enough difference here to get returning fans overly excited over a new game. More new puzzle experiences or a focus on the Skill Battle system would have really done a lot to help things out, but just another round of the same modes and missions just can't generate the same excitement, leaving this version squarely in the very good, not great, category of Tetris titles.
