    World building was great, gameplay unfortunately made it very challenging to enjoy. heavy input lag on most actions as well.

    Probably the best game I've ever played. Combat feels amazing, one of the most full and interesting open worlds I've played, and an insanely captivating world and story.

    As someone who’s been playing games since Atari 2600 and with 200 hours and 1 ending into the game, I can easily say that this is the best game I’ve every played.

    This has to be my absolute favorite Souls-like and From Software game. The game delivers on its promises of retaining that soul's formula. This game had me dying in my first 5 minutes of playtime. This will come across as frustrating for some, but that's what it's intended to be. The open-world nature of the Lands Bettwen is majestic in even the most colorless regions. One of the mainThis has to be my absolute favorite Souls-like and From Software game. One of the main reasons I found Sekiro to be boring is that all locations had the same feel. Most of the enemies were natural and earthly, looking to be rememberable. Elden RIng is everything I was hoping for in a From game. And if I could give a more accurate rating, I would give this a 9.9 because Elden RIng, in my eye, is flawless in world-building and charter design. I have one major criticism of the game, and I admit it is quite a funny criticism. In my eye, it has one of the worst opening theme songs in any of the From games. But besides that main criticism, this game is flawless and my pick for a possible match of the year.… Expand

Masterfully created world with great lore, the most accessibility on any FromSoftware game to date, awesome boss fights and seemingly never ending content. The last time I felt like a game was so much worth the asking price was in 2017 with Persona 5. Elden Ring is one of the best experiences I’ve ever had in general andThis is literally everything a videogame should ever strive to be.     And the copy and paste was unreal I rolled my eyes seeing the same structures and layouts repeatedly and the bosses where worse, the amount of times the godskin bosses showed up was especially lazy. Also had some bosses just flat out go afk in the battle like the Dragonlord placidusax.

    Not a bad game, above average but the overhype is real

    Yes, it can be quite brutal for newcomers who have not played a Souls game but do a bit of research and you'll be fighting bosses like the rest of us. Más de lo que esperaba , para una compañia que no había hecho antes un juego de mundo abierto como esté, un juego completo sin necesidad de DLC's, un juego que le quita lo lineal y te recompensa por explorar , sin caer en hacerte un dios simplemente por dónde vayas (te da lo que es, eres nadie aspirando a serlo todo). Siendo objetivo el único problema que siento en el juego son temas técnicos, en dónde algún Big visual afecta sin embargo ya he pasado por parches y a la perfección.… Expand

    I am not going to lie this is my first dark souls style game I am about 20 hours into it and I can honestly say I cannot stop playing for the life of me from reading stupid messages saying beautiful sights and fighting bosses that are way too difficult I can't get enough it makes me want to play all the other games

    The beginning is very promising, but halfway through the game falls apart. Technically it's subpart, very bad frame rate on pc, multiple items that aren't working, tons of glitches that are being abused.

    Design wise it's also disappointing, lots of very quick bosses instead of nice rythm based combat. There's also a ton of reuse concerning bosses.     Not my favorite FromSoftware game but still pretty good. I think the open-world aspect can be both good and bad for the game sometimes, especially considering that previous games from the team already had a great feeling of exploration and discovery with multiple secrets hidden throughout the world.     After a rough start on xbox side of things, this game is now a true masterpiece. Definitely as of writing this in March is the GOTY and probably will be top contender come the end of the year still. With dangers around every corner and bosses ranging from small to towering giants this game has it all, the added ability to play with your friends and explore together is a much loved bonus. Because sometimes (most times) you'll find yourself needing that extra hand to help defeat a boss or dungeon. No friends to play eith? No worries elden rings also gives you thr ability early on to summon spirits to your side to help you fight and defeat enemies as well as summon random players from other worlds into yours to help, along with you being summoned to theirs if wanted. In all this game really dies have it all. And will leave you wondering what's next throughout as you rise your steed around slashing or using magical abilities to decimate hordes of enemies.… Expand

    Elden Ring makes previous From Software games looks like an indie titles which is absolutely crazy, I can't imagine how much hard work and effort those guys put into this thing...absolutely incredible.

    Despite some annoying performance issues, Elden Ring is a masterpiece. The combat, enemy variety, exploration, music, and open world are top notch. I’ve been playing it daily across all platforms alongside other games all month, and look forward to doing that all year as I try new builds, help friends, and try to do everything I want in this triumph of a video game.

    Elden Ring rewards your curiosity in many ways, be it items, runes or a pathway to another area, but mostly it’s a story to tell your friends when you are sharing tales around the bonfire. It does not force feed tutorials down your throat, but instead it leans far the opposite way by not telling you much at all and lets you explore and find things out on your own. There is no true quest log, no points of interest on a map or no arrows pointing you in the right direction, so there is a good chance you’ll miss some of the best caves and areas of the game. Because of all of this, Elden Ring is forcing me to find all of that out on my own and it is one of the most rewarding games I have ever played. I will continue to explore the Land Between for many hours to come. I’m just not in a hurry.

    Elden Ring manages to draw the player into a fascinating world for many hours, with refined gameplay that fits perfectly with the freedom granted to the player. A sumptuous but imperfect work, which fails to completely overcome some of the historical flaws of Hidetaka Miyazaki's productions. Flaws that, however, can't diminish the scope of a masterpiece destined to leave an indelible mark on the videogame world and to set new standards for the souls-like and open-world genres.
